Treasa quirks a brow: "I like your methods...but, as much as I dislike him, Haris does care about Ina. He had that magic tailor-made for her. Ina's always had problems speaking, but she loves to teach and help others. Haris nearly sold his soul to have it imbued with magic to help her speak with ease. She cried when he gave it to her the first time...he's a big ol' bag of d*cks, but he does have a heart...somewhere."

"Perhaps I can find some way to help her speak again? Maybe if I could examine the pin or something like it...She's been a great help so far..." Elara seems uncomfortable and won't look at the part of the arena where Ina and the Lord stood.

Zuri quirks an eyebrow, "You must have a great gift for magic if you think you would be able to recreate the magic just by examining the pin. Whereabouts did you learn your craft?"

[Mallen]

She blushes and kicks the dirt a bit. "I wouldn't say I have a great gift for magic, I usually just...figure things out? I spent most of my time around books as a child and I discovered that with enough information and research, anything can be done. It just takes time."

Zuri smiles "Then you're adaptable, that's a great quality to have."

[Mallen]

She fiddles with the crossbow in her hands and finally makes eye contact. She has a small smile on her face. "And you? You must be adaptable, among other things? We probably wouldn't be here if we didn't have some sort of talent."

Zuri shrugs "you learn to be adaptable when you are moving from town to town, village to village helping where you can."

[Mallen]

"And is that what you do? You're just a helpful wanderer?" Elara seems just a bit skeptical.
