He nods and takes a couple steps back, standing just behind her and to her left.

Ina gently reaches for his hand and squeezes it.

A woman with a half-foxfolk behind her, speaks next: "I am Zsa and this is my wife, Azari. I am the leader of the Rodokil clan." Azari gives a slight nod to the party, but Zsa remains fairly expressionless in her place next to the MacLeod family.

Beside her, in orange, a woman with elvish ear stands in her seat. Despite this, the top of the table only comes to just above her waist. She adjusts a pair of goggles as she speaks: "I am Treasa, inventor, academic, and head of the Vinci family."

On the other side of the table, a snakefolk woman or Nagina, smoothes her hand over a purple tunic. Her voice is clear and confident: "I am Latya, head Asha of the Lila Clan."

On Latya's right sits a young man with unruly hair. He smiles at the group: "Hello, I am Connor, head of the Oskin family.

A half-elf with her hair pulled pack in a harsh bun sits on Connor's left. Behind her, a young man with eyes the same color stands at attention. The young man speaks: "I am Roderich, eldest child of the Heradevy family. This is my mother and clan leader, Commander Elise. You will excuse her silence: she must save her voice for casting."

There are other people in the room: they appear to be guards, town leaders, wisefolk, or future heads of the clans. No one moves to introduce them nor do any of them introduce themselves.

Rina bows to show her respect of the seven clans.

Tsu, head of the Akagi Clan, speaks once more: "Heroes, you have all been summoned here to help save our country. There have been many sightings of daeva and other shadowbeasts in our realm. We wish for you all to investigate them and destroy them if needed. Will you take on the quest?"

Elara steps forward. Most of her nervousness has left her now at the prospect of an investigation of the unknown. "Have the Dark Asha been unable to handle the beasts? Have all seven been seen? Are they together or do they appear separate?"

[LuEngel]

Duncan stands: "We have sought to handle them, but the sightings are many and the Asha few. We can't be in every place at once. We need to know which are real sightings and which aren't so that we will not waste time chasing fantasies."

From behind your group, you all hear sounds of gasps from the various servants in the building and the sound of large wings flapping. Looking behind you see a large dark shape coming in quickly to your area before landing surprisingly quietly in front of you. In front of you all, you see a tall woman dressed in well made traveling clothes. Behind her trails a pair of large black wings so long that they trail slightly behind her on the ground.

Ina smiles at the newcomer: "Welcome, you must be the last of the summoned."

Duncan stands: "Welcome, Zuri. I am glad you have answered my summons, though I am disappointed by your delay in arrival."

Zuri bows deeply. "The winds are fickle to change, my lord, and rarely blow exactly how one hopes. I am similar as I'm sure you know."

[LuEngel]

Duncan nods and sits.

Clearing his throat, Tsu addresses the party once more: "So, will you all take up this quest?"

Fëanor takes a half step forward. "I'm not much help in the heat of battle, but I will do my best to keep these people safe in their task. I accept your quest."

Zuri narrows her eyes at Duncan, "I'm still perplexed as to why you have summoned me, my lord, when there are many more skilled fighters and mages in my family. Surely you are aware of the journey I have been on for the past three years. I'm sure my father and uncles would have bent over backwards to send one of their esteemed sons to serve you for this quest."
