"It doesn't have to be Ina," Logan sighs, "but she does..."

Ina sits up: "I've d-d-done it b-before."

Logan pats his sister on the head as though she was a child: "Ina has been talking me down since we were children. She also helped Zsa for a time, but Azari is far better suited for handling that fireball. While I don't like it, Ina might be a good option until you can find someone else."

[Achylleus]

"No Ina. Fëanor done it already. Ina stay safe."

Ina stands, hands on her hips:"You have to take somebody! And I have experience!" Despite her attempt at authority, the stutter still lingers.

Bartholomew is unwavering in his statement. He looks her in the eyes and says. "No."

Depsite her attempts to stand on her tippy-toes and project an air of power, Ina is unable to mom intimidate Bartholomew.

Logan laughs at the stand off until Ina glares at him.

"I-I can protect m-mmyself!"

[Achylleus]

Bartholomew seems to grow in size, unfurling himself to his full height (even though this is mildly painful for him to do under normal circumstances). "Ina not safe from me. Ina will not come!" The last part is almost a yell. (GM read I would like to intimidate her.)

Ina, used to large men towering over her is not afraid. She does, however, deflate a little.

"Y-yyou're serious," she sighs and flops back into her chair.

"F-ff-fine. I w-won't go, b-bbut you n-need someb-body!"

Logan looks on in surpise: "The wee lassie has never stood down for me or Duncan when she sets her mind like that! Truly, you are a good one, laddie!" He slaps Bartholomew companionably on the back. "Make sure ye get a good companion or she'll sneak out after you."

Ina slumps further in her chair.

[Achylleus]

Barry nods. If Ina is paying attention she might see sadness in his eyes as he turns and leaves.

Ina's voice softly follows him out the room: "Whenever we two may meet again, then have we happiness and luck. A person's pack is his to choose and you were part of mine, be safe on your journey and hasten your feet back here."

Bartholomew has leveled-up!

He gains another point in his Weapons (Sword Skill) as well as an additional 5 HP.
