Okay, I apologize again. Trick or treaters come tonight, not Sat like I thought. Away from the desktop this evening, will try to hash out what I'm playing with the others tonight on my phone.
Looking to play a white witch/white mage, actually. I have more than enough rangers which had been my first thought. :P What would you recommend for a "class" or group from your list, Schwarz?

Nice, I'll read your concept later in the day, Athena and Kapera.
As for class, FoggyKnight, I don't know what you mean when you say "white", would it be some kind of healer? |

Just read everything, really nice. I'm thinking in start the game somewhere in the Kingdom of Georgia. Its history and possibilities are quite nice during this era. Also, I think that Gav could have a couple of decades as a vampire, he is already very well adapted to his new condition. And I think that you could discuss a little bit about how you know each other and what connects you, that would be grand.

You don't need to be affiliated with any major group of mages (or have an official class, since it is Gurps). So, you could be a good lone witch, helping the people of the town during these times of war, or maybe a Christian nun trying to hide her forbidden "gift" while helping the wounded soldiers with it, or something along these lines. But, I think that there is not an organized group of mages that would fit your idea.

We've been working out the kinks in Discord.
One thing I'd like to address is the cost of Unaging. It seems really expensive for something that really has no real mechanical benefit in game. I mean, I suppose technically a vamp could go hide in a tomb for a century or two while his problems all die off, but that doesn't make for a very exciting game. Also, he'd be leaving behind his non-immortal companions. Not to mention, most objectives are probably time sensitive. If anything the inability to age is more likely to be a disadvantage. "Lord Dulmaric is supposed to be a sixty year old man. You are not that old. Either you're not the Lord, or you're in league with the Devil!" I suppose the 'immunity to supernatural aging' clause is worth something, but how often does that come up as a legitimate threat? At 15 points, still seems overpriced.

Oh good lord. I just seperately added up the Advantages and Disadvantages of the provided Vampire template. Some pruning in order. Sunlight weakness itself is 60 points.

Athena, regarding unaging, you can take it off. The vampire template will cost only 135 pts.

My sister gave me the sniffles...ugh...
Regarding Georgia...what kinds of things have been happening during this time period? I'm not familiar with much history other than around the edges of the Robin Hood/Ivanhoe stuff.

Okay, I had to call out sick today so hopefully I will have time to create most of Ella's sheet today. Or Ellan. Still unsure if I want to go witch or warlock.
Background for now: Ella is the latest daughter of a long line of witches raised from birth to the world of magic and herbalism. As "Wise People", Ella's family helped the communities where they lived. Not everyone in the family had the "talent" but there was always at least one to pass along the gift. The ones that did not have the talent tended to leave the family and settle down in a generally accepted line of work that was useful to the community enough to avoid being set apart. Despite their talents for healing, herbs, and the occasional fortune telling, Ella's family were persecuted every other generation or so when suspicion fell upon them that they were using "other" gifts to curse neighbors that were actively against them. A healing spell couldn't counteract the accusation of draught or a cursed cow when enough bad luck hit the community. However, their good works often saved them from being hanged or burned at the stake, in addition to the fear that the family would curse them on their deathbeds. When Ella was a teenager, a priest in the growing town her family lived in set the town on "the unbelievers" as practitioners of curses and rituals that no mortal should be dealing with. Ella was able to escape with the clothes on her back and the family grimoire in her arms, but her parents had stayed in their home to buy her time, and perished. This time, the priest had persuaded the villagers that his faith could save them from any curse they might project. She is now a spinster in her twenties. Due to the war, the village she lives near has accepted her odd standoffish ways as more useful than not, particularly since she has made a point of helping soldiers in town, using herbs and medicinal techniques to cure what ails them. She keeps her magical talents secret, for now.

We will begin the game in the year 1189, which marks the beginning of the Third Crusade. However, the Kingdom of Georgia is not involved in this particular crusade, since they are at war against the Turkish invaders from the south, the Seljuk reminiscent, and even defending against occasional Byzantine attacks. The ruler is Queen Tamar, since 1184. The Georgians are winning this war and progressively expanding the borders of their kingdom, but not without heavy losses.
