I've been paring down the Vampire Template to make it less overpowered and more PC friendly. (230 Disadvantage points is a lot!) Also attempting to sculpt a few new, flavorful abilities.

For your consideration:

Divine Curse	Must be Invited into a dwelling	-10	Standard
Draining	Human Blood; Illegal, 1 HP	-5	Half the normal damage, half the cost? More time allowed between necessary feedings.
Dread	Religious Symbols, 5 yds	-14	Standard
Infectious Attack	Dead only	-5	Dominance is too expensive at the moment. I figure Gav's still fairly inexperienced at being a vamp. Not master quality yet.
Revulsion	Garlic	-10	Originally a Dread, but Revulsion just seems more appropriate to me
Supernatural Features	No Body Heat or Reflection, Pallor*, Strange Shadow	-16	I'd say not quite corpse-like however, unless quite starved.
Uncontrollable Appetite	(15)	-7	Less chance of accidentally killing people he'd rather keep alive, and helps lower the Disadvantage total closer to the limit
Weakness	Sunlight 1dx5 min, Variable	-18	Makes sunlight a threat without being quite at risk of being an instant PC-ender. Also lowers the Disadvantage total

Removed: Dependency (Coffin) and Unhealing (Partial), both for being too expensive, and for the risk of serious drag they'd put on a narrative.

Left off Dread (Running Water) to reduce points, but the effect itself could probably be bundled in with Divine Curse, which is probably more appropriate than Dread, anyway.

Wondering if it's possible to get Quirk-levels of Lifebane and Frightens Animals? Though even without them the modified Disadvantage total is still around 90.

 

Dropping Alternate Forms, Dominance (replaced with Infectious Attack, above), Speak with Animals, and Insubstantiality to reduce point cost. Maybe bought later.

Injury Tolerance (Unliving) makes sense for zombies, but less so for vampires. I'm thinking some form of Semi-Ablative Damage Resistance instead. (Overcome by wood, bone, and gold* {silver is for werewolves, . Gold as the metal connected with the sun, is more appropriate for vamps})

Unkillable 2 mostly the same, but with Trigger (Human Blood) added on.

Would like to make small modifications to Vampiric Bite [30] + Fangs 'Sharp Teeth' (cutting) [Free]

1) Armor Divisor (.1) -70% (Existing DR is multiplied by 10), No Dr. Created [1] = [?] (Don't see vampire fangs actually biting through any kind of armor)

2) Vampiric Bite gains Follow-Up Affliction: Irritant (Euphoric) +30%, +secondary: Incapacitation (Ecstacy) +20% = +50% [?]

Also considering two new effects:

~Mind Control [50] Sense-based (Vision) -20%, No Memory +10%, Puppet -40%, Reduced Range (Divisor 2) -10% = -60% = [20?]

~Obscure (Vision-Fog) [2] /level, Defensive +50%, 8 yards +100%, Onset: 1 minute -10%, Limited Use (3-4 per 24 hours) -20%, Costs 1 FP -5%, Variable +5%
Limitation: Blocked by solid walls? - ?%, Dissipation - ?%

FoggyKnight: I did not the math yet, but it seems that everything is OK. Very nice mage concept.

On a side note: Neves has fishing and Ella has cooking, this is what I call synergy.

Awesome! I still need to find a way to cut 30ish points off the Disadvantages and probably some more off Advantages. Also not entirely sure on the math of some of the customized Advantages.

Here is what I have. I totally did not understand the weapon table stuff... and some other things are blank because I got confused.

Also I know she needs to shop, just a bit confused there too.
