Is there a deadline on getting the character sheet completed? I'm thinking I should have it done by tomorrow night, but it could be Wednesday at the absolute latest.

Also, I have quite a bit of experience role-playing over the years but haven't done pen and paper since the 80s, so I might need some help / advice as the game progresses. I've been through the Solo Game here and have been perusing the Pathfinder rules when I get chance, but just the same will likely need assistance and maybe a bit of patience with rule mechanics.

So, I put down the story thread. For now, there is time to (re)tell the tale of how you got here in short, or just start talking with the other people in line. Since not all your characters know each other, this is a good chance for some "bonding" and broadening your knowledge of the town. Some people in the queue might be inclined to help you out (but I say we'll leave this until everybody had a chance to write something down).

If you have any questions, this is the right thread. For all FAQs and general stuff the Craps Table is where you'll find it (stil WIP and as we move on, more will be added).

Quick Question. For Druids who can't use metal. Are you okay with Studded Leather, if for flavor we say the studs are bones and stones?

Officially Studded leather is off the table, but it's a common house rule to bend on considering at the start how little a druid can wear.

@All: Greetings. This is the part of the thread where I mention that as a staffer, aka a Red, I can see all secret text. I always do my best to not read it if it's not addressed to me.

@Hound: Hey there. 3e Oriental Adventures has Leather Scale armor. Scales are made of cured leather instead of metal.
Can't copy/paste full stats because it's not OGL, but the PF Ultimate Equipment guide might have something similar, and I think the whole of their armor selections are in the PRD, or similar Paizo friendly site. Would that help?

@RMP and KT: Hiya. Good to see two of my NPSG grads here.

Heya Zev 83 Glad to see we both made it in! Malva making friends will be quite interesting I think.

Also, I added some information to my app about Malva's familiar, was frustrated that I lost the work I'd done on my sheet this afternoon and needed to do something else before rebuilding it.

@Toten: Most games I've been in, there's a thread, or at least one post, that contains all the character creation points. Point buy or rolls, level, starting gold, etc. Same stuff as in the DM Seeking Players opening post.

@All: Reminder: Don't copy/paste anything that isn't OGL friendly. Links to specific parts of the PRD would be good for this metal armor situation.

Druids are proficient with light and medium armor but are prohibited from wearing metal armor; thus, they may wear only padded, leather, or hide armor. A druid may also wear wooden armor that has been altered by the ironwood spell so that it functions as though it were steel. Druids are proficient with shields (except tower shields) but must use only those crafted from wood.
