Main Comm

So, here's the place where the different teams can talk to each other.

For game playing, I'll have a story thread opened in a couple of days for the teams to meet and greet on the ship. Then when the characters have mingled a bit and worked themselves out, I can open a game thread - which would be the battle. So two types of threads, game and story, for up and downtime. However I'll leave the story open so you can post in both - a good way to mess around since combat is slow.

Greetings, one and all! Remember, shoot first and ask questions eventually. If it all.

Although actually, I do have a question...if a vague one. How, precisely, are character spells and abilities going to interact with their Mech, in terms of scale and damage. I see range has already been addressed. Are we handling this on a case-by-case basis, and risking your brain exploding? Or are there general guidelines which we can/should follow?

Mostly case-by-case, with chances of brain damage. However, spells that change your physical stats will not affect mechs, only their pilots. Things like Enlarge (or Shrink) Person, Bear's Strength, Cat's Grace, Eagle's Constitution, etc.

Just wondering, Team 1 will be entirely NPCs right?

Do team 2 and team 3 cooperate or do they do missions separately?

Each team will have their own game thread, but I'll only update each thread when all are ready to be updated, meaning you'll each be operating in the same timeframe. More threads means it's easier to focus on what your team is doing. All threads will be open for everyone to see, of course.

Is there a typo for Mecha HP? In your house rules, I thought it said, "Max for Size + Player * 10." As in, like 540 HP? What kinds of weapons is the enemy packing?

It was a typo; corrected now:

For HP, a mech's maximum HP allowed is: its maximum listed + (the player's level x 10) x 2

That's maximum allowed - you still have to pay to purchase it.


As for weapons, assume everything you've ever seen. Natural weapons, magic, ancient weapons, standard fantasy, but also modern if they get ahold of Terran weapons, and perhaps even future/sci-fi weapons?

Let me start off by dissuading you from the notion that The Godslayers - Team One - are NPCs.

We are definitely not.

Over the coming days I am sure you'll get to see the rest of us come through here. Don't be intimidated, we're just people like you guys, just people that have fought and killed these things before. If you follow orders and perform well, maybe someday you too can wear one of these Godslayers badges.

No. In fact, you don't have to spend it all now, because later on you can look forward to both the Class Feature Exchange system and MP to GP conversion coming online. There's also the ability to purchase traditional weapons, items, etc. once you're on the battlefield - again, not for your mech, but for you and any human allies you gain.
