JackbyFrost wasn't the only one with augmented inputs - Jackby's own sensors were a thing to behold, and even as the other train drew close and the light show began, she was watching in her own way. Her own way consisting of a cyberware scanner, thermographic cameras, and a microphone that could pick out a needle in a falling haystack. It was these same sensors that appraised the newcomers each before Jackby turned back to her window and continued to enjoy her view, empty smile sitting placidly on her face.

She stayed in touch with the others though, and reported her findings to everyone clearly and concisely. Just because there was a potential agreement with one or two of the members of the team, didn't mean the others would uphold it. [You may wish to reaffirm the deal with them. Best to ensure an easy hiring before we make mistakes assuming the deal is in place.]

Jackby hoped they would agree though. It'd be easier than having to find some way to make them fail.

The grinning man tipped his head back to the rear of the car. "Probably just a draft in one of the doors. Someone should get somebody to take a look at it."

He gave Pantera a passing glance. It was difficult to tell exactly what he assumed the panther was. At the moment, he seemed content to assume the cat was both with the woman and incapable of joining the conversation at the moment at least in English. And that was good enough to continue.

He held back when Halcyon gave him a chilly welcome to the seat. "I can stand then." he said happily, leaning on the back of the empty chair and sipping his drink.

He held out a hand as she asked his name. "Crowshaw." he said with a grin. "And you? It's my pleasure." he said, putting a hand on his chest.

He shrugged a little, swirling his drink as he looked down into it. "Merely came over to say hello. A mutual acquaintance informed me of... the offer on the table." he sipped his drink but kept his eyes on her.

Halcyon recognized what was going on immediately. He hadn't come to talk. He hadn't come to say hi. He had nothing to say and didn't expect her to either. He was here to size her up. And Pantera too. And anyone else he'd noticed out of the crowded passenger car. It was just part of the handshake of two experienced running teams meeting. The only question remained was whether one of the sides had a knife behind their back in the other hand. It wasn't very trusting. But it was at least prudent in this line of work. Especially on this kind of job.

Jackby had time to scan over the group thoroughly. There was some ware, nothing to write home about. Subtle upgrades here and there. Likewise there was a bit of magic. Nothing so powerful as to tip the scales. The MAD scanner flipped right out though. Nothing more than a small holdout on the suited man who'd come to see Halcyon but the rest of their group was certainly packing some firepower. They had a couple of heavy looking bags with them too. Not on the whole unlike Frost's. It wasn't overly sinister though. They'd come prepared to play, just like their own group.

"Well. It is a long train ride. I expect we'll see each other. Or if not maybe in Sanfran. Good evening." he added with a tip of his head.

With a flick of his finger to his commlink, he passed Halcyon some contact details. The commlink wasn't a disposable metalink or anything but it wasn't fancy enough for someone dressed like him. Probably a burner. And even then the contact he sent her was layered with enough proxies and passthoughs and redirects to make a proper corporate spy blush. At least they took security seriously.

Frost
right-aligned image
Frost had glanced at the ones who passed by, in part to get a look, and in part because it would've been suspicious not to look up as someone passed by. She avoided the old "hold your comm up so you can act like you're playing with it while you watch" routine, and instead kept the comm cradled close, listening as best she could to the conversation with Haly. Fingertips still tucked into the folds of her clothing, close to her pistol, she kept ready in case something happened.

As the exchange further ahead passed without incident, Frost relaxed a bit, as much as she ever did...which wasn't much. She still remained attentive, and reevaluated the tactical situation in the car in case something should happen, but otherwise watching the passing countryside..

Frost arrives at the conclusion that it would be best to blast a hole in the bottom of the train, and drop to the tracks below for cover. :P

COBOLdCOBOLd watched as long as she needed to, albeit not with her eyes. She ran her claws through the matrix, even if they weren't claws right now, sifting around for icons of note and anything too of interest. And when Halcyon got contact information, COBOLd politely requested a copy, squirreling it away on one of the many datachips that adorned her skin.

From there, though, there wasn't a whole lot else she needed to do? Not that she could think of anyway. So with that in mind, she shot Frost the usual message of kick her if something happens, disengaged the resonance construct, and swiftly fell into a hopefully restful slumber, in the relative lap of luxury. The train was nice, and springing for first class had been the right idea indeed. She kinda wanted to pat herself on the back for it, but she just let it go, not all too concerned with it for now

So she went to sleep, to dream COBOLd dreams and hopefully wake up a little less worn out, hopefully without needing Frost to get her up and moving. Trouble so early would be, well, trouble.

JackbyThe blinding glare of her MAD vision was all she needed to kick Jackby into gear. Like greased lightning she began compiling a document on the other team, including everything that she picked up, adding what the others told her after she queried them for information.

A photo of each member of the other group headed their respective sections, followed by physical descriptors that were not able to be conveyed in photo - their smell, what they sounded like if they had talked, how they walked, tics. Another page had what she had seen through her MAD scanner, with a list of what the items were and noting in very prominent text which had magic active and what cyberware each had. The third grouping was their matrix presence - she had COBOLd send her a picture of what each looked like in the matrix with their current personas' appearance and all icons that the other technomancer had managed to find.

The information would hopefully not be needed, but it mattered little. Jackby shot a copy of the file to COBOLd, who she knew could keep it safe, and then proceeded to make an ARO copy of it that rotated through the three threat profiles of the team. Not the prettiest item in the world, but potentially useful. She threw it up, mostly transparent and in the middle distance, towards the front of the train.

With that work done there was little she needed to do immediately, so she did as she claimed she was here to do earlier - she leaned back and enjoyed the scenery, taking in the leisurely pace of the train placidly.
