Chapter Two: A Journey Ahead(Group 1)
Chapter Two: A Journey Ahead. The third day of Tarshak, 1409; The Year of True Omens With new mounts chosen, the group stored their items up on the horses and saddles up. The farmer gave them some tips for riding as well as giving them a fond farewell, the group began the journey. Qarateb, Elbryan, and Blooms all three decided that tracking the orcs would be the best use of their time and set off to the east, intent on picking up the trail of the Orcs near the High Forest, the last known location of the band. Elbryan promised to return for Torrim and the others if they were able to locate the Orcs. With the small group now several minutes out of sight, it was time for the group to decide what would be next.

No one in the group seemed to put up too much of an argument into going to visit the chicken lady. So the course was changed from the south westerly direction, to nearly due west. The four hour ride was easy, aside from minor scuffled with each of your mounts as rider and horse began to process of getting to know each other and bond. Torrim’s pony had an especially strong will; showing that it was every bit as bull headed as the dwarf upon its back.
When you try to get the horses to approach the hut, they begin to snort, toss their heads about and stamp their feet. However, you find that as you dismount they begin to visibly calm. Leading the beast by the reigns, you soon find that the ground is quite soft and would not have likely been easy to ride over. Nearing the hut, you hear a soft humming coming from around back, and when you turn the corner you see a old woman sitting on a stump with a gnarled staff in her lap. Holding a lantern up to get a better view of the group she gives you all a crooked smile. ”Welcome, welcome. Have you come to find my chickens?”

The old woman took a second to look over the raptors, before giving a hardy laugh which quickly converted into a phlegm filled cough. Doing her best to cover her mouth and not cover Ken, she recovers her composure after a minute. ”Oh my, those are clearly not chickens! That would be a raptor; a dinosaur. I assume your scaly friend there could have told you that much!” lifting a single grizzly finger, the woman points towards small.
Speaking of Small, a quick look around revealed several tracks that one would associate with real, normal chickens; except they were huge. By Small’s best guess, each chicken weighed as much as a fully grown pig. Also, judging by the track, Small would guess that the chickens were roughly four to five feet tall. ”I should have a group of people returning soon with some chickens, when they get here you can see one if you wish. As for the ‘floor suckers’ you must mean my automatic brooms! Yes, yes, I have six of them made up ready to go!”

![]() "It may be wise to dismount, Guldar doesn't seem too happy about carrying me at the moment." Ulfgar looked at his newfound friends. The purple tiefling and the halfling had been riding with him for only a few days. Hired to find some lost chicken. Well chicken, those bloody things were huge. Still they had managed to round up a good number of them between the three of them. Walking besides his pony, the path through the forest was somewhat familiar and Ulfgar rather enjoyed the view of streaks of sunlight making it's way through the canopy to the mossy forest floor. Coming up to the cottage of the old woman he noticed there were way more people there than on their first meeting."Stay sharp, There's company." He whispered. As they slowly followed the path Ulfgar raised is hand. "Hello there, Nice day for a ride in the woods right?" He said to no one in particular, but he looked the group over with a keen eye. Noticing an elvish looking man, a kobold, a half-orc, a man and another dwarf. He nodded at the dwarf. " May Morodin watch over your journey." He said as he took a rolled a 69 in the dice thread.bag from his saddle and handed it to the old woman on the tree stump.
