The bottle giveth a tank, the bottle taketh a tank away. Or a tankard, I dunno.

Tymau is far from a tank, but he has a higher CON and AC than your typical paper thin rogue. IC it's a reflection of how over years spent in and around organized crime he's essentially devolved into a clever enforcer. In combat he'll still do the sneaky sneaky, but he can take a blow or two.

Full disclosure, still trying to figure out the best way to do maps/images. Some I have saved, but would like to edit and block out what you can/cant see, add your characters in etc. Still trying to figure out the best way to do this. I'm hoping the image used is sufficient for now.

So, as it stands now, with our trusty gnome fighter seeing the gruesome scene first, is it typical to let them make the first post in response to the DM post?

No Id say its fair to understand Jeridoon was the first character to see it, but the whole party is only 5-10 feet behind. Ill assume no order to posts unless initiative is rolled to be honest.

@CRblackfist - can we tell from where we are at if the cart can continue or do the horses block the way?

The cart could continue. You might have to drag the horses off to the side of the track then move past but it would certainly be possible.

I think we should have Tymau and myself stealth into the woods alongside each side of the pathway and scout. This is assuming that we are still a good ways away from the dead horses and would be worth trying to get closer to the scene without vulnerability. If the owners of the black arrows are hiding in the brush or on the road beyond the dead horses we may be able to flush them out or find their positions. If they're not around, no harm done.

How does this sound?

I agree. Seems a good enough plan. You two in the bushes, sneaking around with good lines of sight on the battlefield and ridgeline with the casters in the back with a clear view of the scene. They have cover with the wagon, you have cover in the trees. I'm a sitting duck, but i also have 20 AC right now so hopefully if it does hit the fan, I won't get instantly destroyed!

For the record you are all roughly 50-60 feet from the horses.

What is Croveg's specific field he is making those tomes on? Or do I have to wait to find out until you let us in on your life's work IC?
