Gallis Name: Gallis Blythe Homeland: Xhorhas Background: Sailor (Revelry Pirate) Home Settlement: Rosohna Race: Dark elf Class: Barbarian Family: His mother, Ileesha. Never mess with a woman who has raised five children on her own. Especially these five children, including: Gallis, who never thought HE'D be the sibling with the biggest criminal record. His twin brother, Gannett, who has a slight case of "being a werebear." In his defense, Gallis dared him to pet the bear and you really can't back down from a twin sibling dare. His younger siblings, The Terrible Triplets: Ardea, Branta and Herrin. Ardea, his sister, once punched out a charging bull. No joke. One hit. Wham. Out cold. Branta, his sister, fooled half the neighborhood into thinking Gallis and Gannett were the same person when they were kids. The deception lasted for at least three months, before their mom told her to stop stressing out their poor elderly neighbor by making her think she was seeing double. Herrin, his brother, somehow managed to steal the same No Trespassing sign from the same yard five times in a row. He never liked that guy. Ally: His twin brother, Gannett the werebear. They were best friends through thick and thin, until Gallis left home five years ago under mysterious circumstances. Gannett has been searching for him ever since, determined to know what happened. Fateful Moments: Caught in a thunderstorm five years ago, wanting to get a closer look at the strange orange lightning. Unfortunately for him, he caught a really close look. He came to in a healer's house, echoes of a strange voice in his head. And that was when the problems started. The whispers in his dreams. The anger that is not his own. The unwanted promises of destruction. Probably not what usually happens when someone gets struck by lightning. Prophecies:Immediate: Leave Nicodranus and escape his pirate crew. Long term: TBD Character Arc: Find a way to either control the presence of rage within him or remove it entirely. Failing that, giving into the destruction and having to deal with the consequences. Character History: Look, everyone has problems. Some people make bad financial decisions. Some people have relationship troubles. Some people, like his twin brother, get bitten by a werebear, and that becomes its own problem. And some people, like Gallis, accidentally become a vessel for some otherworldly being of burning rage after they get struck by a bolt of lightning. A voice that speaks to him in his dreams. Promises things he most definitely does not want, like falling to unbridled rage and raining down destruction on everything around him. (Cast out I was, cast down, hurled to the material plane. Betrayed! So it must burn!! All must burn! Char the land and break all that stands before us!! Become my hands, my vengeance!! Feel my anger, serve my wrath!! Obey me, and--) No. No, it's fine. He's fine! He doesn't have to listen, and it only sometimes takes control away from him. It's fine! He simply left Rosohna! Can't destroy his home and loved ones if he runs to the opposite side of the continent without telling anyone! It's fine. He might have fallen prey to The Anger once or twice or thirty-seven times along the way, landing him in jail on the Menagerie Coast. There was a breakout a few days later by some Revelry pirates, and they "convinced" him to "volunteer" to join their ranks. It's fine. He learned to sail, and some of the pirates were actually pretty decent folks, and at least if he loses control he'd just destroy his own ship rather than a whole town. Yeah. That's fine. It's been five years since he left Rosohna, and things have been... Well, not good, but not as bad as they could be. Until just now, when he might have been responsible for an incident in a bar in Nicodranus that got his captain and half his crew arrested. He should probably find a new ship and leave town. Immediately. It's fine.
