Name: Rhogar Yarjerit
Race: Dragonborn Variant: Ravenite Draconic Ancestry: Gold Class: Paladin Alignment: LG Description: Standing at 6 feet 6 inches, he looks like a miniature gold dragon, walking on two legs, only he has no tail or wings. His emerald eyes goes well with his gold color scales. Armed with a silver and gold plated chain mail armor, a great sword at his back with longbow and a dagger sheathed at his right thigh, he looks like he can handle himself fairly well. He does looks young, but with dragonborn, it's not easy to tell their ages. ![]() Background: Order of the Gauntlet Trait#1: I see omens in every event and action. The gods are speaking to us, we just need to listen. Trait#2: I am always honest in my intentions. Only evil works in the shadows. Ideal: Honor. Punishing an evil act is just. Punishing an evil thought is not. (Lawful) Bond: The Order of the Gauntlet saved me when I was a child. I owe them my life. Flaw#1: I never strike a creature when it’s down. Flaw#2: I'm still grieving the loss of one of my comrades. Reminders of their death shake me to my core. Background Story: Growing up a normal life, well, normal for the dragonborn. However, when he was just a young lad, other dragonborn, followers of Tiamat was spotted marching towards his homeland, armed. A great battled issued, it was the all the followers of Bahamut against the followers of Tiamat. The Cult of the Dragons was rearing its ugly head once again. The battle was almost dead even for a while, then an army of orcs had joined Tiamat’s forces, and it was turning the tide. It looked like evil was going to win when help came. It was The Order of the Gauntlet. A dragonborn, who was a member of the faction, knew that some of the members of the orders were nearby and took off for help. The tide began to turn and all the orcs were killed, but a few of the evil dragonborn had retreated. While searching for survivors, they came across Rhogar, who laid unconscious with a vicious cut. Later, the lad found that half of his family were dead, the clan still lived though. In return for being grateful and his hatred of evil, Rhogar later joined the faction. He started out as a squire until he became a paladin. However, like any rookie, he had to start from the bottom, he was an Chevall, his role an Initiate, but He didn’t care and he learned everything he could during his training, determined to be the best and to be feared about the evil. Describe your favorite D&D Moment: That's a tough one. I been playing since 1979. Tabletop was always the most fun, especially my first group. My cousin who introduced me the game and was my first DM, then friends, just a grand old time. Playing every Saturday between 1pm to 11pm. played from 1979 to 1985 nonstop, Character moment, well, there was two of them. My cavalier character found out halfway through the campaign that he was a King when his family was thought to be all dead. The second was my thief at the end, passed his test and became a god. Character's three worst fears (In Secret):

![]() Character name: Rain Ragnius Race: reborn Class: undead warlock Alignment:Lawful Good Background: Noble Personality traits:I am shy and soft spoken I hate bullies Ideal:i want to do the right thing and be a good person Bond:I will go to any length to learn about the secret entity that dwells within me and be rid of it Flaws:I am very unsure of myself and lack confidence i am terrified of the being that dwells within me and the power i wield Character's three worst fears Personality: Rain is shy and unsure of himself due to the lack of encouragement he received from his mother and the severe bullying he endured at the hands of his peers, but he has a good heart and is well spoken and well educated. He always wants to do the right thing and be a good person, though he doesn’t always know how. He is terrified of the entity that dwells within him and what he is becoming. Physical Description: Rain is a short young man with shoulder length straight golden hair. He looks even younger than he is and has often been described as looking like a lost puppy. He takes pride in his appearance, always wearing fine clothing that reflects his refined upbringing. When he transforms, he takes on the appearance of a ghostly undead king. Backstory: Born into the noble Ragnius family as the son of the renowned wizard Marko Ragnuis, Rain’s father committed suicide the night he was born. This scandal damaged his mother’s reputation, but Lady Lucia was not some trophy wife. She was cold, intelligent, and vicious. The frequency of her rivals having their lives destroyed or disappearing entirely earned her the nickname, the villainess. Through her cunning navigation of the king’s court, she held on to her prestigious position. Unfortunately for Rain, she put no such effort into his upbringing. Not once did she tell her son she loved him. Not once did she embrace him. She left her servants to raise him and showed little interest in his well-being. As a result, Rain grew up with deep insecurities and a lack of confidence which singled him out among the ruthless world of affluent children he was surrounded by, but none were worse than the children of the Rand family, Miguel, Liguel, and Castor. The three siblings always sought Rain out and brutally tormented him in ever escalating attacks for years on end. Then one day on Rain’s twentieth birthday, the siblings ambushed Rain and kidnapped him. Rain found himself tied down on a floor with a magic circle drawn beneath him. Miguel, Castor, and their father Escaldos were standing around him attempting to perform a demonic ritual. When Escaldos moved to stab a dagger through Rains’ heart, something happened. Rain felt a cold chill run through him, and he spoke words that were not his with a voice that was not his. “You shall not harm my precious vessel.” His chains were broken, and he felt something compelling his body to move. He lashed out with green magical power, killing the three men. With the casters killed, the magic of the ritual went wild and destroyed the tower that Rain had been held in. he survived the incident though most of those present in the tower were killed. The investigation that followed led to the destruction and imprisonment of most of the Rand family with one very unexpected exception. Lady Lucia petitioned the king to allow her to take Liguel Rand into her family. Not only that, but she proposed an arranged marriage between the only daughter of the Rand family and her own son, Rain. She did this for two reasons. First, it would allow her to gain control of the Rand estate and fortune which was considerable, and second, Rain’s part in the events had made him the center of the court’s attention. There were many young maidens flirting with him, and his mother did not like this one bit. She saw these girls as vultures trying to worm their way into her family. By marrying her son to Liguel, a girl with no power, Lady Lucia would maintain control over her house and its future. There was just one problem, Rain wanted nothing to do with it. For the first time in his life, Rain confronted his mother. He was incensed at her callous disregard for his feelings. He asked how she could do this to him, to not only take the woman who tormented him under her roof but to force him to spend the rest of his life with her, especially after her family had tried to kill him. His mother dismissed his outrage as childish which only angered him further. He demanded to know why his mother didn’t love him and, having an epiphany, asked her what she knew about what had happened to him. His mother revealed that Rain had been born still born. His father had been unable to accept it and took him into his study for several hours. During this time a massive storm formed out of nowhere. Then, she heard the sound of a baby crying from the room. When she looked inside, she found his father dead, having cut his wrists and drawn a magic circle on the floor in his blood, and there in the center of it was Rain, inexplicably alive. Faced with the horrifying revelation about his own existence and unwilling to marry the woman who had tormented him most of his life, Rain did what many neglected youths do, he ran away from home. Now he wanders aimlessly, struggling just to survive while trying to uncover the nature of the being that inhabits him. to that end he has sought out the order of the gauntlet hoping they could cleanse him of the entity that lurks within him, or at least reveal some information about it and the nature of his power. Although the religious group was suspicious of him at first, his earnest personality and plea for help soon won them over. The group brought him in and tried to help but were unable to explain his condition. Though many of them were still fearful of his abilities, there as one who treated him well named Millet, a young cleric. She treated him with a kindness that he had rarely known, and Rain soon fell in love. Wanting to stay close to her, and having nowhere else to go, Rain decided to join the order of the gauntlet, putting his power to good use. Favorite DND moment: My favorite moment in dnd was playing a pirate game. I was the only good aligned character, a cleric and had become the captain of the ship. My character had a habit of constantly complaining to his goddess sanerea about all his misfortune and the goddess had told me that she preferred her followers to be a scalpel while I was more like a hammer who used evil characters to fight other evil characters. She didn’t like my methods but couldn’t deny that they were working. We were being followed by a ghost ship that apeard at night. then one day we spotted a chelaxian manowar following us. We had three small ships, one of which was badly damaged. We couldn’t outgun the enemy vessel, couldn’t outrun it, couldn’t board it and fight that many people. Then I had an idea. We had an alchemist and a gunslinger, and a necromancer sorcerer in our party. we transferred all our alchemist fire and gunpowder to the forward hull of the damaged ship and set up a lantern while moving its crew onto the other two and sent over one of the necromancer’s skeletons to the damaged ship. While we sailed away, it turned and rammed the chelaxian warship. KABOOM! Dm rolls a coffee can of damage. Then he rolls a fortitude save for the enemy ship since it suffered so much damage. natural 1. The ship’s own gunpowder ignites and blows the ship in half. Then the fog cloud of the ghost ship shows up and we hear screaming as the ghosts finish off the enemy crew while we sail away. my cleric looks to everyone and says his catchphrase, “that’s why I make the plans.” I then spent all of my gold to raise the chelaxian ship up and have it repaired making it my flagship which I named the hammer of dawn, referencing sarena’s nickname the dawn flower and her calling me a hammer. RP Sample: Theme song: I feel like a monster

App is done. The toughest part was the list of fears. That was hard. Had to do a search for some ideas.

You could probably flesh it out a bit more to help define why you would either be travelling with them on this mission or to describe how you joined them opposed to just seeking their help. The sentence you wrote at the end does fulfill the requirement, however. I'll update it next time I update the table.

Would one of the groups use a scout more than others? (Maybe not the official rogue subclass but one that fulfills that job?)
If not as an official Member as a resource they use? Last edited by cool hand luke; Jan 31st, 2023 at 10:17 AM. |
