[D&D-5e] Descent Into Avernus: Hellriders Last Ride

Same here, never played a dragonborn before. Well, I tried a few months ago, but I didn't get in. So we'll see how it goes. I didn't have to change much, the other game was one level difference.

Varavhik's app is completed. The backstory is a bit long, but I felt I had to explain why a Goliath wound up in Waterdeep. Everytime I try to RP a Goliath in a game, the game dies out. Hoping that if I make it in, this one lasts. Love the idea of a seven foot, 9 inch character being more than just muscle.

Dreadful Judgement Name: Crexlyon De’ruyn “The Stormborn” Race: Dragonborn Bronze Class: Fighter - EK Background: Flaming fist Alignment: Lawful Neutral Description: Crex is as imposing of a figure as a dragon born could possibly be. His monstrous figure stands hands taller than the largest of men. His broad torso is muscular, covered in plate and dense of battle hardened scars. Pointed horns angle back and away from his equally marked face and head which covet his stifling amber eyes. A razor set of bone crushing jaws line his maw, outlined from his bloodthirsty grin. Red flaming fist robes hang from his upper body while a maroon colored, blood stained leather studded kilt is attached to his lower. Trait 1: I have a hot temper and a short fuse. I’m trying to work on it. Trait 2: Actions speak louder than words Ideal: Order. Respect the badge, or you’ll respect the club. (Lawful) Bond: I’ve seen my share of problems in Baldur’s Gate. It’s my job to make the city a better place. Flaw 1: I sometimes get carried away when administering punishment to those who violate the law. Flaw 2: I judge anyone with a criminal record Backstory: A first generation Flaming fist, Crex worked hard in his youth to fulfill the requirements to join the band. His Father deserted him at a young age, leaving him for dead on the streets of Baldurs gate. Instead of turning to a life of crime as most would, Crex was fascinated by the glorious men of the Fist and knew that’s what he wanted to do. Crex would survive himself long enough by apprenticing through a local scribe and librarian. A man with historical recollection uncanny for his race and age. Discipline and hard work was all Crex knew, never indulging himself in laziness. When his body grew capable enough to handle the physical abuse, he started training. Within no time Crex was a devastating force to be reckoned with. The flaming fists recruited the devastating dragon with no regrets, and the streets of baldurs gate have been safer ever since. Crex is well known both inside Baldurs gates as well as outside. His reputation proceeds him as a particularly cruel administrator of law with little to no regard for ambiguous blurred lines of justice. On the other hand he is also known well to serve whole heatedly as practitioner of protection among the masses, one who would lay his life down for a needing cavilian without hesitation. He is two sides to a particularly dangerous coin. On this particular occasion Crex finds himself tasked by the Duke on yet another mission. Obediently he moves with swiftness on behalf of Faerun. Personality: Crex has a stern disposition for authority and law. He can be overwhelming in his bold and brash tactics, but it comes from a place of justice and protection. His dreadful judgement is both feared and revered among the realm. My favorite moment in DND: 3.5e my Archer drew back on the string of his magical bow and raises it to the sky. He lets loose an arrow sailing into what was an impossible shot at a range far greater than what should have been possible. The shot lands, the large enemy tumbles. My companion a small Sized burglar type rolls out from the clutch if the monster, waves, and instantly loots the monsters body without missing a beat. Favorite aspect of DND: 2 fold. The immense creativity that is not only drawn upon, but rewarded and encouraged. And the inclusion of people as a whole, from all walks of life.

Application Name: ‘Fist’ Nima el Keltari Race: V.Human Class: Wizard Alignment: Lawful Good Description: Handsome, well-dressed, and well-groomed, Nima has always attempted to portray himself as a man of upstanding class. Cleanliness is of great importance to him and he is fastidious in his personal hygiene. Tall and slim, Nima would have been poorly suited to any type of physical labour, and was lucky enough to be born to a nobleman, if not a noble wife. Aside from his stature, the only trace of elven heritage passed down from his half-elven mother are his pointed ears, which Nima covers with jewelry at all times. While his time with the Flaming Fist has done little to change any of that, he has made some concessions to living a more military-type of life. Background: Flaming Fist Trait1 : I go out of my way to prove I’m not like the other members of the Flaming Fist. Trait 2: I use my ties to the Flaming Fist to influence others and get what I want. They own me until my deed is done. 2 Flaws: On occasion, I’ll turn a blind eye in exchange for a bribe. I sometimes get carried away when administering punishment to those who violate the law.   Background Story: Born to a half-elven slave by a wealthy lord of Keltar, Nima was raised in status above his own mother whom he would only rarely see in his lifetime. The boy was an afterthought to his father, who put him into good schools more to maintain his own standing than for any feelings towards the boy. Nima was a smart young man who excelled in his studies, dreaming of learning magic and becoming powerful, something his father scoffed at. A fanatical devotee of Ilmater, the old man followed a somewhat heretical doctrine of the faith, that they should not only endure the hardships of the world, but prepare for them. To this day Nima cannot pass a temple or shrine to the Crying God without feeling a twinge of pain from the scars on his back, nor can he deny the wrathful urges that suffering fuels within him. On his seventeenth birthday, fed up with his father and ready for a new start, Nima stole a rare book from his father’s collection, an offering to use to get into Candlekeep where he might learn magic. The plan worked, briefly, but it would take more than a single donation to learn all of the magic that Nima wanted to know. At a loss for options, he began borrowing money from unsavoury types in nearby Baldur’s Gate, to get the items needed to get access to the knowledge held inside the keep. In time he learned enough to go out on his own in pursuit of knowledge, but his reception in Baldur’s Gate was unpleasant to say the least. Faced with threats and violence from half the underworld of the city, Nima turned to an unlikely source for help - the Flaming Fists. In exchange for an ironclad, ten year contract of service to the Fists, his debts would be cleared and he would have a chance at living. Describe your favorite D&D Moment: Trudging through underground caverns and mines for days, weeks, who knows, encountering the worst that the ‘underdark’ had to throw at us, as well as a few light hearted moments with its more decent inhabitants. Only to fight our way back to the surface that was now embroiled in a terrible war that we had no reference for. I rather enjoyed that moment when instead of reaching that intangible carrot that had been drawing us along, we were instead forced to decide exactly how ‘heroic’ we really were. That, and some sweet magical loot.
