Ohh, I haven't seen a Naruto RPG in ages. I will have to look over the PDF to see if I can transfer a Naruto character I built when I first started playing PbP RPG. If I think I can rebuild it then I might put an application in.
I think getting enough interest for people to rotate in and out as needed would be a great idea. Characters in the manga and anime bounced in and out as needed too.
I was using standard to get the gist on my sheet. Mostly cause I do ch build off stats. Although the ch is unfinished on sheet the ap part is as far as I can go atm. As I said thinking along Ryu street fighter llV type ch. Hadokin!... lol

Roleplay Sample:
Kazumi's mother, Moriko, woke early to the strong scent of smoke, shouting, and the harsh clashing of steel striking steel. By all reasonable accounts, the small apartment seemed to be under siege, and yet, Moriko just sighed as she stared at the thin wooden beams that spanned the saobuchi-style ceiling of her bedroom. It smells sweet, like beef and nikiri... probably negi too... He must be making bentos for his academy field trip today... but why is he being so loud..?
Moriko rolled her neck toward the window until it released a small satisfing *crack* and then lifted herself up into a seated position. Using her bare toes, she fished for the well worn slippers that had hidden themselves somewhere near the foot of the mattress beneath the oversized blanket. Finding them along their usual migration, she slid them closer to the side of the bed and stood, shuffling her feet until the slippers found their rightful place. It's always so delicious, but really? Why can't it ever just be rice and miso? Every morning is a production and it would be nice to just... sleep in... Just once I'd like to miss the sunrise... Bracing herself, as she did every morning, the tired, but eternally supportive mother donned a robe and slid the door aside.
"Morning, Mom! Here's your juice!"
Barely processing the chaotic scene in the kitchen/living room, Moriko found herself holding a short glass of what appeared to be a freshly squeezed cocktail of melon, yuzu, and mint. Kazumi, in full apron and headband, rushed past to attend a small grill somewhere beyond the back door.
"Morning, Mom! Here's your salmon!"
Both hands were suddenly full, and yet again, Kazumi goes running past carrying a small fan, out the same door. Huh..? Moriko blinked her eyes several times trying to shake off the sleep that was causing her to see double. I'm sure this will all make sense once I've had a few minutes to eat. She made her way to a small two person table beside the window.
"Mmmhmm, Mmm! Mmm mmm mmm"
Another Kazumi, with an oversized sandwich stuffed in his mouth, set a pot of green tea and a small slice of cake on the table. This time Moriko knew the problem wasn't with her eyes. "Kazumi, Kazumi! What's going on??"
Sandwich Kazumi took the questionable breakfast out of his mouth and hurriedly chewed, but the voice that responded came from one of the previous two who were on their way back in carrying four fistfuls of grilled skewers. "Breakfast, bentos for me, Shinju, and Teuchi, and di..."
Moriko cut him off before he could finish, "No. I mean..." She gestured broadly to the duplicates, now noticing yet another in the kitchen stirring a couple of pots. "As far as I'm aware, I only have one son."
"Dad was always saying 'Good help is hard to find', sooooo... I made some!" As each shadow clone delivered their grilled meats and vegetables to the counter, they waved and vanished with a small poof of smoke.
"Oh, I'm going to be late. See you tomorrow, Mom!", Kitchen Kazumi stuffed a few boxes of food into his pack and rushed out the door. Sandwich Kazumi vanished, leaving half a sandwich to fall onto the table as an unsalvageable pile of bread, sauce, and filling. Moriko ran fingers through her hair with a sense of defeated resignation, "Bye, Honey. Love you, Honey. Why yes, I would be more than happy to spend half the day cleaning up after you..."
Oooohhh.... is this hojicha and chikara cake? Ok, maybe this isn't so bad. Moriko took a cup of tea in both hands and leaned forward for a long whiff. Mmmmm....
Clan:
Shunya (Non-Clan)
Significant NPCs:
Teuchi, founder of Ichiraku Ramen. (Mentor) Akimichi Shinju, genin of the Akimichi clan. He lives to cook, she lives to eat. (Friend)
@wodine added a clan ( best option for ch type I'm building)
If you don't feel strongly about any of the clans, going 'non-clan' is always an option. It increases the customizability of the character, sort of like picking 'human' in DnD.

The goal is high Chakra and and use of said Chakra. But yes the nonclan is one of the 2 options I was thinking Sarutobi is the other.

I would think that Uzumaki is also an option. You don’t need to focus on sealing techniques for it to be a really strong clan. They gain extra con for chakra and 2 extra chakra per level and the ability to regain chakra through their chakra reserves ability.
