CONGRATS to badger, I am of course, the festive pooping log of Catalonia, though I have spread to other areas mostly in Spain. In Olden Times (as every ENGLISH101 student fervently believes is a thing) I was hollowed out, given a cheerful face, a cloth hat and blanket, and the children would be required to feed and pat me. Christmas Eve, I am filled with nougat candies and fruits and the children beat me with sticks (literally beating the crap out of me) and I poo out the treats.

AT the back of me is a tin of sardines, and these signal the end of the festive poop, and I am then put into the fire and burned to death as the traditional Yule Log.

These-a-days, there are more variations. I may be solid, with a much larger blanket, and all the Christmas presents are found pooped out under me on CHristmas, no beating or burning required.

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate, and may your log never feel constipated!

Filly, that will be in my heart forever. I can only wish for a candy pooping log. The can of sardines scares me. Was this for the older folks to split? Was it to appease the cat gods? Will we ever know the truth? No.
