Hey all, I have enough players and characters now to form a fairly diverse group I feel. For that reason I am going to bring forward the application end date to Monday 3rd April to allow anyone with an in-flight application enough time to finish, as well as anyone else who wants to throw their hats in the proverbial ring in the meantime.

Keante's Starfinder Character Application for Against the Aeon Throne Name: Cors Race: Ysoki (Nograv alt ability scores; Blindsense and Skilled alt racial traits) Class: Biohacker (scientific method: Instinctive; primary field of study: Immunology) Archetype: Medic Theme: Street Rat Alignment: Chaotic Good Appearance: Cors is a small and scruffy ysoki with gray fur, green eyes, and a long tail. He wears a patched-up lab coat over a dirty jumpsuit. He has several scars and burns on his body, some of which he got from his biohacking experiments. Cors’ custom microlab looks like an old pocket watch with a rusty chain. The watch has a cracked screen that still manages to display data or settings. The watch can also open up to reveal a makeshift compartment that can hold biohacks in recycled vials. Cors can use the watch to scan and analyze biological samples, as well as synthesize and modify chemical concoctions. Personality: Cors is a fast-talking and energetic ysoki who loves to tinker with biology and chemistry. He is curious and adventurous, always eager to learn new things and explore new places. He is also compassionate and altruistic, using his medical skills to help those in need. He is loyal to his friends and distrustful of authority figures. He has a sense of humor and a knack for improvisation. Background: Cors grew up in the Spike, the poorest and perhaps most dangerous part of Absalom Station. He learned to survive by relying on his wits and skills, avoiding trouble and finding resources. He also developed a passion for biohacking, fascinated by the diversity and complexity of life. He wanted to use his biohacker abilities to help others who were suffering or in need of medical care in the Spike. He gained some gratitude and respect from those he helped, but also faced some dilemmas and conflicts from those who opposed or exploited his actions. Cors eventually decided to leave the Spike and seek new opportunities and adventures elsewhere. He heard about a contract with AbadarCorp to deliver supplies to a colony on Nakondis, a planet in the Vast. He thought it would be a good chance to see more of the galaxy and make some money. He signed up for the job and joined a crew of other contractors.   Cors ran through the dark and narrow alleys of the Spike, clutching his microlab tightly. He had received a distress call from one of his contacts, a young human girl named Lila who lived in a nearby slum. She said that her brother had been shot by a gang member and was bleeding out. Cors knew he had to hurry, but he also had to be careful. The Spike was full of dangers and enemies, even for a healer like him. He reached the slum and found Lila waiting for him at the entrance. She looked scared, but relieved to see him. "Cors, thank you for coming. He's inside, please help him." She led him to a shabby room where a half-elf boy lay on a dirty mattress. He had a bullet wound in his chest and blood stained his clothes. Cors quickly scanned him and saw that he was losing blood fast and his vital signs were dropping. He opened his microlab and took out some bandages, antiseptics, and other concoctions. He injected the boy with a coagulant to stop the bleeding and a painkiller to ease his suffering. He then cleaned and dressed the wound with care and skill. Cors looked at the boy's face and recognized him as Remy, Lila's older brother. He had met him before, when he had helped him with a minor infection. Remy was a good kid, who tried to protect his sister from the harsh realities of the Spike. He had no idea why he was shot, but Cors guessed it was some kind of gang dispute or robbery gone wrong. He felt sorry for him and hoped he would recover. "Cors, is he going to be okay?" Lila asked anxiously. Cors checked his microlab again and saw that Remy's condition had stabilized. He smiled reassuringly at Lila. "He'll be fine, Lila. He's strong and brave. He just needs some rest and time to heal." Lila hugged Cors and thanked him profusely. "You're amazing, Cors. You saved his life. You're our hero." Cors felt a warm glow in his chest. He was glad he could help them. He liked Lila and Remy, they were like family to him. They were some of the few people who appreciated his medical skills and treated him with kindness and respect. But as he looked around the room, he felt a pang of sadness and frustration. He saw the poverty and misery that surrounded them. He saw the fear and despair that haunted them. He saw the violence and injustice that plagued them. He realized that he couldn't save everyone in the Spike. He couldn't change the system that oppressed them. He couldn't make a difference here. He remembered the message he had received earlier that day from an old friend of his, a scientist named Cedona. She had told him of an opportunity, an AbadarCorp contract delivering supplies to a colony on Nakondis, a faraway planet with lush forests and exotic wildlife. She had hinted it was a great opportunity for adventure and exploration, as well as helping people in need. Cors had been tempted by the offer, but he had hesitated to accept it. He felt loyal to the Spike, to his home and his people. He felt guilty about leaving them behind. But now he wondered if he was wasting his life here. If he was missing out on something better out there. He made up his mind. He told Lila that he had to go, but that he would call to check on them later. He hugged her goodbye and wished her well. Cors left the slum and headed back to his own hideout, where he packed his meager belongings before making his way to the docks to find the ship that would soon be bound for Nakondis.

Sorry folks, some of you already know who are with me in other games, but I’m struggling massively with IRL health problems at the moment. I thought I was ok to go ahead and run this, but the truth is I’m not at this moment so I’m going to put this on ice for now and revisit it when I am back in a better place than what I am at the moment.
