with both class levels at 3 there is no feat/ASI yet. Will get that when she goes to 4 in either class. She did take Observant as variant human feat at L1 though. I expect at least sorcerer 5 before she takes any more thief levels.

I am thoroughly undecided as to what feat to take! In these situations I'll be guided by the campaign, see if there is a feat that seems to be favored by how the RP turns out.

Oh, yeah, of course, I knew that. Level 4 for class, not overall. Hurriedly covers up virtual tabletop with virtual papers to hide oversight.

So, overall, he's fairly average for a half-orc. His parents were both half-orcs as well, so his bloodline remains well mixed. His tusks aren't as prominent as others, his skin isn't as bright green as others, and his rage inside is subdued most of the time. Most of the time... Personality: Zagrum prefers patience to action. He's seen too many fights break out because of hot tempers. Better to wait and watch, maybe say a few calming words. Patience will usually reveal clues that fighting would obscure. If he's out on the road, he will constantly be surveying the countryside. If he's in town, the drink in front of him will probably be lukewarm because he's been too busy watching everyone else. Character History: Zagrum watched the kobold on the other side of the market browsing cuts of preserved meats. He snarled. This one had been playing the part of a lowly villager for nearly a week now. Zagrum had followed her for a few days, waiting for her to lead him to the cult he so desperately wanted to find. Yet all she had done so far was work as a maid for one of the merchant guildhouses in the town, and buy groceries. And so Zagrum had bought groceries too. Wherever she went, he followed. And to blend in, he had to appear to be doing the same thing. His room at the inn had a pile of rotting cabbage and turnips that he had never eaten. In fact, he never spent any time in the inn because he was always trailing this kobold, his latest lead. "Are you going to hold that apple for the rest of the day, or are you going to buy it?" Startled, Zagrum looked down at the halfling behind the stall counter. He realized he had been standing there holding the fruit for some time now and felt his cheeks grow warm. Almost blew my cover! He wordlessly placed a few coppers on the counter and moved on. Years ago.... Zagrum's father, Krazak, lay dying on his bed. The old half-orc, usually proud, had a haunted look in his eyes that night. His failing health had confined him to his bed for more than a month now, and as Zagrum walked into the bedroom, he knew his father's time was soon. "Sit down, son. Sit down. I have something to tell you. Something I thought I would take to the grave." A wheezing cough wracked his body for a few moments, and the handkerchief that he used to wipe his trembling lips came back red. "No time, no time... Should have done this years ago." He stopped and looked at an ornamental suit of armor on the other side of the room, then back at Zagrum. "Do you know how I made my fortune, son?" "Through our business ventures. The shipping and..." His voice trailed off as his father shook his head. "I wish it were so." He grimaced in pain, but Zagrum was unsure if it was the disease or the memories. "No, when I was a young half-orc, I was not shrewd or wise. I was a fool. I fell in with a mercenary group, and they, in turn, were hired by a cult. At first it was business as usual. Protect the cultists as they went from shrine to shrine doing their weird mumbo jumbo. It made no difference to me. Sure we cracked a few skulls from time to time, but we weren't raiding villages or murdering people. "That all changed one night. They were doing their strange silly dances and burning stuff, when suddenly a darkness fell over the whole shrine. A few of the mercenaries ran off into the woods, but I was mesmerized and waited to see what would happen. The darkness slowly faded and there in a ring of fire stood the cult leader. His eyes glowed and he spoke in an otherworldly voice. He promised us power and riches, glory beyond our wildest dreams, if only we would kill in the name of the cult. "I didn't think twice. To a young half-breed like me, this was the best chance I'd ever get so I pledged myself right then and there. The next five years were a whirlwind of blood and gold. And power..." Krazak got a far-away look in his eyes as the memories washed over him. He glanced at his spell-bound son and smiled. "You wanna see what I learned? Go grab me part of that armor up there." Coughs shook the frail body of Zagrum's father as Zagrum went to retrieve the armor piece. After a few moments he had detached the breastplate from the suit of plate mail and brought it back to his gasping dad. "Now, watch this." Krazak snapped his fingers and his fingertips began to glow a bright blue color. With deft strokes, he traced a strange symbol on the front of the armor. when he pulled his hand away, his fingers no longer glowed, but the rune on the armor did. "You wear that and you'll be stronger. Make a different one and you'll be fast as the North wind. There are quite a few runes to learn, actually." Krazak waved his hand over the rune and it faded into nothingness. "This is what I give to you, my son. This is your tool, and here is your purpose: You must undo what I helped create. The Cult of the Dragon is on the move again. And who knows if they may be successful this time. Track them down. Sabotage them, kill them, set the people against them, whatever you have to do, but stop them from their malicious intents. This is my charge to you. Now go. Take that armor, and the journal hidden inside. It'll teach you how to harness the power of the runes. Do not fail me, son. The family's honor lies in your hands." Zagrum shook his head to clear the memory of that fateful night. He scanned the village square to find his quarry. She was gone! Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a scaley tail disappear down a side alley. In a flash, he was on the trail, but it seemed like each twist and turn only left him further and further behind. She knew he was chasing her! Fallen fruits and vegetables that she had dropped in her haste littered the alley. "Who are you? S-s-stop chasing me!" A panicked cry rang out in front of Zagrum and he grinned coldly. His prey knew her time had come. He rounded the last corner and skidded to a halt. The kobold crouched defensively in front of a wooden crate turned up on its side. Three baby kobolds peered out from around the female's legs. "I won't let you hurt them! They're all I have! I don't have any money!" Zagrum's shoulders slumped. Not only had he been pursuing the wrong quarry, but he had probably given this poor mother a heart attack. "I mistook you for someone else. My apologies, I mean you no harm." He backed up, showing his empty hands, and went back down the alley picking up her fallen groceries. He put them back in her discarded basket and tossed in a few gold pieces besides. When he returned, she was clutching her babies and staring at him with wide fearful eyes. He merely set the basket of food down, bowed to her, and left. At the mouth of the alley, he stopped and looked out at the village square. "Now I need to find another kobold..."

Also, this is my first time using your character sheets so if something's not right or you need me to put more let me know as well. I just put what I thought I'd need for my own reference to start because I figured I can always add more. Anyways...

 

Character Name: Sir Alden Ballard

Race: Human (Variant)

Class: Sorcerer (Draconic Bloodline)

Description: Alden is a tall, handsome, well dressed man in his late teens. Light complexion with brown hair and a royal bearing. He has silver eyes and thin, serpent like pupils. His cheeks have silver scales just below his eyes. Silver scales also cover his back and wrap around his shoulders extending down his biceps and chest. These scales also cover the tops of his feet and reach up his legs just shy of his knees. Same for the backs of his hands reaching up to his elbows, but he generally keeps everything but his cheeks covered to avoid to much attention.

Personality: Confidant and unyielding, Alden is exactly what you'd expect from a young noble. Determined but stubborn. Kind but occasionally condescending. Kinda foppish but also naturally exotic thanks to his draconic features.

Background:Noble

Trait 1:No one could doubt by looking at my regal bearing that I am a cut above the unwashed masses.
Trait 2:I take great pains to always look my best and follow the latest fashions.
Ideal:Respect is due to me because of my position, but all people regardless of station deserve to be treated with dignity.
Bond:The common folk must see me as a hero of the people.

Character History: The Ballards were once a family of warriors sworn to defend the north from all manner of monster and depravity. From their silver dragon steeds they fought the greatest evils they could find before settling down among the farmers of the town of Bloodhand Hold. Rumors of half dragons and noble warriors are long forgotten now though, as the Ballards of the modern day are known for their avarice and tenacity. One would never associate the selfishness of the modern family with the nobility of their origin until nineteen years ago, when Alden was born with silver scales across his back and serpent like eyes. Used as a chance to validate their future might, Alden was paraded around the courts of Waterdeep to awe and bully his fathers peers. The might of the dragons would be felt again he promised, and Alden was none to thrilled with it. He didn't share his family's greed, and wanted nothing more than to live up to the nobility his draconic features should have inspired.

As he grew older and his powers began to manifest, a wedge began forming between Alden and the rest of the Ballards. He was no longer their tool. He was growing into a young man with power beyond anyone else in his family and a frozen apathy for nobility who didn't share his moral compass. He began adventuring to live the example he wanted the Ballards to be associated with, and in his absence his father began looking for other ways to assert his power and influence. It wasn't until his father had fallen ill that Alden returned to find out about the Cult of the Dragon. Facing a future with the judgment of the gods instead of his precious gold, he begged Alden to undo the deeds he had committed. Alden agreed reluctantly and made his way for Greenest.
