@Wishkamon Great background. I can already see that everyone is going to get along with Daigen just fine ![]() @Solid Snek That's excellent, I love introducing new players to the setting. I'm glad you enjoyed reading about it. I really enjoyed what you wrote for your background (the 1st person was different than the norm and a nice touch as well). As with some of the other applicants, I just need to know what led Jack to undertake the expedition. |

I made the opening GM post visible so everyone can get an idea of where we are starting from.

New question...
Are allies coming with? Or shall i park mine to take care of my ship and crew while i'm away? (i havent done his name yet...) |

It's a 15 day voyage to the island and Akamu would not be footing the expense of others. That said, if you want to, and can afford to bring hirelings along, then that's fine. If bit, then it would make sense that they would stay with your ship.

Added it to the application proper, but the justification for Jack's hiring is that he's the most unscrupulous and adventure-hungry "archaeologist" on the continent. Gotta have at least one guy who likes old pots and bone fragments on an expedition.

Ok done that, I also edited it so mine and Jack's dancer friend is the same person, providing that's cool with you Snek?

Since one of my other games has gone on hiatus, that gives me time to play another game, so there's no way I'm missing this one or applying to any others right now instead.
Decided on Cosmic Champion, and rolled my dice in the mechanics thread. I'm going to go with the first set I rolled, and the only change I'm making is on the 3rd table, to get a result of 2, to become a champion of Balance. So, let's see what we ended up with:

Welcome, Lemming23.
I'll let you work out the details of your connections with the other players. As far as your 8-legged steed, a giant spider does seem to fit the bill. |

Love your Background Lemming!
Captain Wolf would assist you in the other dimension against the great monster (needs the +1str to get out of the Neg's) would likely have backed you with a bow, though a cutlass(longsword stats) is at his waist. And could call up his dozen crew as backup if they bit off too much. I can change his rival captain's name to match yours...(captain Mor'gan was a joke on the RUM) though unnecessary if we went to another plane together.((and my rival captain would not be your retired Captain friend...likely)) Wolf also needs a volunteer for his (+1 Int) adventure, fighting a running ship battle with a small navy, defeating them and helping siege a small nation. (remove a tyrant i believe the playbook had) Last edited by mpowell60; Feb 23rd, 2021 at 01:40 PM. |

@Silent Rain, how are you going to do the "friend helping" part - in order of whoever got a character up, randomly, we choose who we want to fit story, or some other way? Have to make it fair, so we all get a +1 somewhere. I'm happy for Wolf to have been mine.
I wouldn't mind a Str boost myself from that one, put me up to 18 (and +3). Anyone ele have one of those?

@Lemming23 Once the party is chosen, I will allow the players to decide this themselves, based on what makes sense narratively, contingent on the fact that everyone gets a bonus. If it cannot be worked out that way, then I will just assign them randomly.
@Everyone To keep things simple, I am going to ask that players maintain a stat block and include it in each of their posts in lieu of a character sheet. I am not particular on the format of the block, so long as it contains the necessary stats and information. I have included a sample stat block at the top of the dice thread in the game folder that you can use and alter as you see fit. |

Of course, only taking a neutral alignment just to get the +3 bonus would be metagaming
