Cool beans! That definitely opens things up a bit. I'll try and get something up in the next few days!
Another lovely question, not necessarily just for Pendragon: What do you reckon the fashion's like? There's electricity, early-modern guns, and no magic in our solar punk utopia, so are we really bumming it in fantasy tunics? If I'm wearing heavy armour, d'ya think it looks like standard plate metal, or is it maybe a bit more like this?

Might I ask the in-game view on Necromancy/the concept of necromancy? Got an idea for a gray/white Necromancer in my head but not sure if it's too suitable here
"I might have never known the Light, but I do know you've all spent your lives protecting me. Now it's time for me to return the favour."
Name: Pacifica Race: Human Gender Identity: Feminine, she/her. Class:Hedgewitch (Martial Hedgewitch archetype), or Warden. Magical Spheres: Creation, Protection, and Enhancement. Combat Spheres: Berserker and Shield. Traits: The Flexing Arm, Bruising Intellect Alignment: Lawful Good Description: Though small in stature, Pacifica makes up for it with her personality. Her beaming smile and melodious voice can cut through the tension in any room, and her well-armed and well-armoured person can handle anything falling on the more stubborn side of trouble. She is patient, considerate, and thoughtful, but struggles picking up on details both social and observational. Her tawny skin is nearly flawless, and her whole body is covered in a fine, glimmering coat of crystalline mana that she uses to augment her physical abilities. Her red eyes, though often ponderous or doubtful, nonetheless have a hardness to them from her sense of justice and dedication to good. For she knows that she owes everything to Oroka, and will sooner die than see anyone or anything within it come to ruin.
Early Life in a Utopia: Born to a loving family of five as Adina Dreyfus, in a little thatched-roof bungalow south of Oroka's town hall. Her father, a tailor; her mother, a councilwoman; her siblings each bundles of energy. She, however, was different. The definitive runt of the litter. Always a little bit shorter than she should be, always a little weaker, always a little short of breath. And though her parents and siblings did much to care for her, they could do little to slow the gradual deterioration of her body. Bones broke, joints ached, and hearing faded. Doctors eventually confined her to a wheelchair, though they could offer no solution to the problem. She was simply not meant to be inside the Light, they said. It was cold comfort.
Nevertheless, Adina did not abandon her passions. Reading and writing were favourites of hers, and she had many penpals throughout the city. Her eldest brother, Julian, often took her sightseeing through the farmlands, and her older sister Miriam would help her with poetry. She was always loved, always treated with respect, and always allowed to help in her own small ways. Her smile, her voice, her kind words. She was indebted to them, and both she and they knew it, but Pacifica never let it eat away at her. She knew that was just how things were in Oroka. Not everybody could be a hero, and that was just fine with her.
Life Before Shadow (Writing Sample):
"Hello. Your name is Adina, yes?"
The memory is as vivid as stained glass. She's at home. It's the day that the priests of Gal came to visit for her appraisal. It's late afternoon, or some approximation thereof, and the evening's chill has just begun to settle in. She can hear the bustle of folk outside, and the little paper lanterns on the verandah swaying in the breeze, but that those were minor details. In front of her was a man, many years her senior - far older than any working person she'd ever met, in fact - and with piercing blue eyes which overflowed with wisdom. He'd knelt down in front of her and began to address her directly, as if entirely oblivious to what her being in a wheelchair meant. She stuttered something inaudible, even to herself, and gave a little nod. The man smiled in turn.
"Your parents tell me that you're quite the reader. It's good that you're making use of your talents." She hesitated for a moment, then gave another little nod, this time with a smile. Somewhere in the background, she would hear her parents apologising on her behalf; she was usually so talkative, after all. But he'd transfixed her, and he once again took her silence as permission to continue.
"I understand that your body makes certain activities difficult. That, as-is, you'll be in that wheelchair for the rest of your life." There's a glint in his eye, like there's something he knows and she doesn't. Anxiety wells in her stomach. She already knew how much she relied on others; there was no need for him to try and make her feel worse about it. "How would you like to change that? Be given another chance. There may a place for you yet, child. Outside the Light. As a Shadow."
A Shadow? Adina had heard the term before, but had never met one in person. Words leapt from her brain to her mouth with little thought to them at all. Blubbering, perhaps you'd call it. What an opportunity! But what of her parents, her brother and sister, her penpals and friends? She'd have to leave everything she'd ever known behind. But, on the other hand, what would she gain? A chance, by the sounds of it, to be of use to Oroka despite her feeble body? To pay back all the years she'd spent in their debt, and ensure that everyone else liker her got it just as good? The mere thought gave her goosebumps!
"Yes, yes! A thousand times, yes!" she stuttered, finally. "Just let me write some letters - I have so many friends to tell!"
Life in Shadow: Becoming a Shadow proved to be a transformative experience for Adina, now called Pacifica. The energies of the outside world had infused her with a strength all her own - magic, as the elder Shadows called it - and though this power proved difficult to master, its very presence invigorated her. No longer was she bound to a wheelchair, forced to tend to her aching bones or struggling for air. Instead, she excelled, for her mind was keen and already so full of knowledge. She proved adept with weapons and armour of all kinds, and with only a thought could manipulate the very world around her to both create and destroy.
The training itself, however, was gruelling work. Her body, though stronger, was not invincible - forcing her to dedicate many hours to reinforcing it using magic, lest she deteriorate once again. And though she tried to smile through the pain that her augments and regimen caused her, and sought camaraderie with her colleagues through her kind words, they shared little of her enthusiasm. Their reasons varied, of course, but she did not blame them for lacking devotion such as hers. She had plenty to spare, after all!

@Muggins - That style works and so does the character concept you posted, lol. The helmet in the first one is a little bit overboard, there hasn't been space exploration, but the idea of needing protection when working is nothing new. Overall you can think of it as Golarion meets modern fashion.
@Panthas - Hi, good to see you again. I am more comfortable with the Occult Paizo classes, I didn't want to make my life even more complicated.
@PainterofMinis - It wouldn't be looked down at at all, whatever means that you have to protect the people is paramount. You are operating outside of what is seen as right and good in the city. Citizens that see you use those powers may fear you but will not argue with the results. 99.9% of the citizens will never see any magic done at all. Only the black panel cleaners and priests see the occasional bit of magic since it is all blocked within the city.

A gorgeous, amber-eyed redhead young human woman, Shandrel's slender form stands 5'10, tall enough to look many men eye to eye. She is moderately athletic. She tramps around in heavy armor now that she has come into the darkness, in defense of Oroka's civilization. Her gear bears leaves in autumn colors, harmonizing with her hair and complexion. She is, if anything a bit vain about her appearance and garb.
Shandrel's personality fills a room, bold, warm, hearty. She is a natural leader. The force of her personality naturally draws people, animals ... indeed the very elements of nature to her.
Shandrel will at times be accompanied by between one to four beasts. Grimly is a dire wolf she rides as mount and her constant animal companion. The other three are more obviously magical spirits of nature, a bear and two eagles. Her personality manifests even in her animal. Though feral each stays well-groomed, being robust and handsome members of their species. Her care for appearances surfaces even in her nature-magic.
Early Life in a Utopia:
Shandrel was the first born child in the Glee family; her mother Brightly Glee bore her to her father Samuel Glee when they were, ahem, married young, at the age of sixteen, to correct a certain matter of impropriety.
She grew as an only child for the first eight years of her life -- and her vivacious and personable nature made her a delight to her parents. They complete doted on her and she thrived in the light, accepting in her heart that it was only natural that she be at the center, basking in love and attention. She had an inexorable love toward animals, living things and all aspects of the natural world. Always, she held a longing for the outside, to truly be and see the wilds beyond. Even as a young child she was heart-sick a the devastation known to exist beyond the walls of paradise. In her constant questioning and yearn to be outside, to see ... the little girl was vexing. In only this matter was she an occasional grief and exasperation to her parents and teachers.
The boys Navil and Gavil arrived when she was eight years old, her parents twenty four. Then the next set of twins, the girls Song and Belong, arrived when she was ten. From being the apple of her parent's eyes, she went abruptly to being assistant mom and commander over a chaotic flock.
Navil was most like Shandrel in appearance and talents, beautiful, bold and charismatic. But he had a dark turn to his personality; he could be cruel, an intimidating bully, and selfish on occasion. Two-faced, he hid and kept secrets cleverly.
Gavil was a brawny young lad as he grew into his teens, fiercely loyal to Shandrel and her constant shadow; so much so that he could really vex and annoy her. But in her heart she loved him all the more for it.
Both Song Glee and Belong Glee were less exceptional in native talents, well behaved children walking in the light and loving arts and crafts -- and looking forward even from a young age to having their own families. In Shandrel's mind the twin sisters are the very soul of innocence and peace that needs protecting, whatever the cost.
Life Before Shadow:
Shandrel worked long and hard as a teen and young adult in the care of what animals and plants the city raised for food and for natural resources. When not a work, she split her time between a vibrant social life, and helping care for the flock of younger siblings.
The rigid lawfulness of her home appealed to her not at all; she wasn't above bending or breaking laws to do what seemed "common sense." No concept of committing to holiness or good-for-good's sake made sense to her. Rather, as a social butterfly with numerous friends, and as a person with deep family bonds, she remains wholeheartedly committed to protecting all the people she loves and their peaceful way of life. Even if that means turning her back upon it. She will do anything to defend the people she loves, now that the outside world has cast them into, what she intuits in her spirit, is a looming danger.
Her motives for walking into shadow are therefore multiple: defending friends and family -- and coming into power to revere, love and serve nature itself. She always secretly craved a deep connection to the natural world. Coming to darkness afforded a youthful dream come true. And the light? The technological world of rigid rules and old stuffy, manmade traditions. Well, it's good for them -- but not what speaks deepest to her soul -- the great wild.
In agonies of departure, amid much weeping, hugs and kisses, she said farewell to her mother, her father, all her siblings, and about a hundred other people that her warm and outgoing heart had caused her to bond with. There was her first boyfriend Timmel (the athlete), and her second boyfriend Gordon (the scholar), and her third Brim (the elven artist), and her forth Andomere (a gentle older man), and several others besides. And then the many friends from work and school. Saying farewell was sheerest agony! For as widespread and profligate as she cast her net of affection, it was in her own quirky way, sincere and real. But the excruciating pain of separation was good in a fashion, for the tearing open of her soul was what let more mystic power flow in to fill the gaps.
Life in Shadow:
Though she had bid fond farewells to them, it turned out that her two brothers, Navil Glee and Gavil Glee were both called to the darkness with her.
Navil practically erupted with great powers as an elemental sorcerer. Initially, his inclination toward evil was too mild for the statues of the Temple of Gal to detect. But what were small latent seeds unfortunately blossomed as they were watered with the new energies of arcane power.
Giddy and near-uncontrollable with newfound abilities, Navil took to taunting, bullying and lording over others -- when he could do so covertly. His magic exerted almost an addictive power over him. He was a star and favored among teachers; he hid his dark heart well from them. But Shandrel, knowing him as intimately as almost his second-mother, could read him, and was increasingly gravely concerned.
Shandrel's advancement in elemental powers was a different path than Navil's -- for while she approached nature in worship, he approached the same powers in bold coercion. Yet the lore and execution of supernatural forces was very similar -- and they were each useful to the other as students.
Gavil became a mighty warrior almost overnight. Like Shandrel, he learned talents as a massively armored rider. But all his skills were mundane not magical, and his martial capability quickly vastly overshadowed hers: expert in the charging lance, stinging bow, tangling whip and cleaving greatsword.
A crisis came late in their training. It was in the private study of a gnome illusionist, a fellow student; his lab cluttered with books and sketches, and the glass and pottery of elementary alchemy (a study that little Dawido was frankly failing at.)
"You know, I want that. And you'll do best simply to give it to me," Navil said, demanding another student give up a wand -- a magical implement that could enhance sorcerous power. Navil plainly had a mind simply to keep for himself wha was the gnome's most significant personal accomplishment.
Dawido was the fellow student; a timid young gnome, lacking the sheer talent of either of the Glee siblings.
Laughing with intimidating malice, Navil sent jolts of flame after Dawido, taunting him and terrifying him as he darted too and fro, seeking cover. Glass tinkled as jostled, it fell and shattered. Bits and pieces of paper ignited.
"Now you cut that out, Navil!" Shandrel burst into the room; Dawido immediately darting behind her for cover. "You should be ashamed of yourself, picking on him! What has Dawido done to anyone?" (Except for the illusory worms in the pudding, and he illusory rug put over a puddle of spilled ink, or ... well, all those other pranks she chose wisely to not mention..) She doubled down on her rage. "And doubly worse, you know you can't be abusing your powers. They are a gift. They come with responsibilities."
Flickers of flame danced around Navil, and his eyes glowed with eldritch power." I'm free of you, sister! You'll not boss me around any longer!"
Giddy and drunk on his spell-power, he wrestled with Dawido, tearing the wand from him, and blasting both his sister and the gnome with painful, scorching fire.
"You've gone too far! Navil Shamus Glee, you drop that wand, or you will expelled!" She snarled at him in her fiercest commanding voice. At the same time she tapped her geomantic powers, causing the stone floor to turn into sand; sucking swirling grains that immediately began to engulf him.
Daunted, sinking now to his waist, Navil dropped the wand. Dawido darted forward to retrieve it, as Shandrel relaxed her geomancy.
"You won't tell, will you?" Navil begged. He smiled winsomely, putting on all his considerable charm ... but too late, and she knew him too well.
Shandrel, perceiving that only worse would come from her brother -- revealed all she knew to the authorities. A violent confrontation ensued. Gavil came to Shandrel's defense. Navil's explosions and bursting of incandescent fire critically injured his twin -- scarring and deforming his body beyond the ability of healing to restore. Navil was arrested, confined to prison in the anti-magic zone. He rots there now, simmering and seething with both jealously and hatred toward his brother and sister -- and now broken of mind unable to remember why his hatred remains at fever-pitch.
Gavil went on to have his destroyed arm replaced with a mechanical one. Gavil became quite hideous to look upon, but remains to this day a fellow exile, a defender with a golden heart under a flame-wracked exterior.
Shandrel learned two branches of skills, a minor branch granting her martial skills, and a major branch developing her as an Incanter, a divine caster and as a Nature Lord -- one who wields geomancing powers of the elements. She summons and commands beasts and spirits of nature.
Shandrel's martial style is defensive mounted combat, wearing heavy armor, and speaking inspiring words as a warleader of men and beasts. She seeks to avoid melee, using her mount for mobility.
Shandrel's magical style is primarily in the Nature Sphere of Power, with minor themes in Conjuration (summoning beast/elemental allies) and Destruction (hurling fire blasts). As a Nature specialist Incanter, she has an animal companion, the dire wolf Grimly, who is a martially trained.
Within the Nature sphere, she has learned air, earth, fire and water. Her talents grant her some battlefield control, and she focuses on fire as her primary attack method -- with flame-blasts followed by Fan The Flame (Dual Sphere) being her strongest attack play.
The three creatures she knows how to Summon are:
Deathclaw, a large bear, a martial companion with bleed and berserk talents. A brute beast, summoned for basic melee competences.
Thunderbird, a wind-element themed eagle, with Destruction sphere talents.
Lifespren, a second eagle, with Life sphere talents.
Her conjurations are pseudo-real, bound to twisted silver rings she must cast down, and susceptible to silver weapons. So while they are very handy, none are super-powered. They are also unwieldy and of reduced use should opponents know of their vulnerabilities.
Last -- given Shandrel's vivacious and gregarious nature, she would have tried to become friends with all those in her cohort of those coming to the darkness alongside her. She opens her heart readily; she is willing to love everybody -- especially YOU! -- in a manner that is genuine and authentic, but not exclusive and not potent enough to put any one person first in her life. Some people will find that shallow, or manipulative.
She takes each person for what they are, having no strong ideological tilts herself. She has reverence for nature and care for the people she personally knows. She would only recoil from those who were unambiguously anti-nature or a threat to Oroka.

Just wondering, but how are stats going to be generated?

I want powerful characters but I also want everyone to have some vulnerability. These scores are generated with 25 point buy.
@Everyone - I am working on updating the table. Still not sure on a deadline yet. With a major US holiday coming at the end of the week and New Years right around the corner, I think the second week of January (possibly the 14th?) is looking like the best deadline so far. That is unless we can get a bit more interest in the next week or two.
