Alexader - can you three fly in when their vanguard strikes and we wheel the troops around?

Why is Hasvan weaking his own troops when they are about to be attacked? Normally I'd say that was fine, just fall back, regroup and come in behind during our counterrattack, but you have the big boys with him. Try and do that anyway.

Yep, the group of three full spellcasters couldn't dispel. Ahem.

And what would be the point of it anyway, for a cloud, considering the time we'd take to get there etc. ? If it's Cloudkill, it's above our paygrade anyway.

The request of troops is new to me. And honestly, I don't think 6 will turn the tide either way.

So you're saying not to attack the incoming goblins, but fall back? I don't think Oz will go for that. He's already not happy about fighting goblins when there are orcs around.

As a note to c12sprint, if you are looking for ways to attack from dragonback, you could always summon 1d3 fiendish Air elementals from a little under 100' up

the request isn't to you, it's to the main force, if Kael's remaining Rage spells are going to do him any good he needs some decent melee fighters at his side. Preferably you two, but a contingency is good. And 6 of our best troops with Rage and Mage Armour can probably do something to that effect.

Are you asking for 6 good troops, or sending 6 good troops?

As far as being around Kael (and the others), I'd like to get Oz back there as well. Just keep in mind, I don't think either Oz or Sarevok would be open to being bodyguards.

Regardless, Oz (unless Sarevok comes back with some better ideas) will be running headlong into Goblins with Hasvan's troops. Or, headlong into Orcs with Hasvan's troops. Either way, Oz will be spilling blood soon.

You are getting mixed up a little. There is the runner you sent, who is now on the way back with a little odd's evening. Then there is a separate runner, sent to the main force, the one preparing for the orcish assault, to retrieve six good warriors and bring them back to me for upgrades (Which will, unlike Pres, leave them alive at the end (or at least not kill them specifically), for which I am sure they will be most grateful.

Mystic: They'll already have armour. Stick it on yourself and Saracae, but I imagine you have done so. Any other level 1 spells of use?

Epelj1: I'm concerned if they stand they'll just get overrun and we lose a body of troops, an ok leiutenant (Hasvan, who Prae and Kael like for some reason) and most importantly, Oz and Sarevak - if not to death then to being away from the action at the moment we strike back. But, as you say, you are a murder machine, chopping through. Just don't get killed and do them quickly.

If you can do a fighting retreat, lead them wildly into our gates, please do.

Kael and Sara have both already cast Mage armour on themselves, once battle is joined Kael has a few defenses. Here is an assessment of the usefulness of each spell Kael has.

1st LevelMage Armour: Already cast on self, Sara already cast on herself. No unarmoured troops in sight. Could cast on your undead if desperate
Protection from good: Might stop one orc in a thousand
Magic Missile: Limited targets, limited usefulness
Charm Person: Only potentially useful on officers, still have one as a spell like ability, so no point conserving spells for that
Silent Image: I plan on using this, along with ghost sound to make the orcs loose their bowels, as a makeshift mass demoralize action
Wand of Sleep: My only AOE, will probably end up just spamming this at the orcs if all else fails


2nd LevelAlter Self: Given that none of them seem to have a personal vendetta against me, or drow in general, this is probably useless. All else fails, I try turning into an orc and and hiding as a footsoldier until I can make my escape
Scorching Ray: Single target, powerful but limited by Kaels subpar aim
Web: It will slow them, but it won't stop them


3rd LevelRage: It may be out of character, but why oh why didn't I take fireball, haste. I'll start the rages on friendly troops where it becomes necessary


Spell-like abilitiesCorrupting touch: Sickens single opponent, makes orcs look evil (redundant much)
Dancing Lights: Not unless the orcs are stupider than I think they are
Deeper Darkness: All else fails, combining this with alter self to orc sounds like a fine plan
Faerie Fire: Technically can't overcome deeper darkness, so uhh does what exactly?
Levitate: Oh, I could escape the orcs that way. Until I fall asleep at least
Detect Magic (Constant): Well at least I'll know if one of the orcs is a particular threat

Thats why I need to know You like him? Really?Hasvan's unit makeup.

@TM I assumed your original post about needing the troops were to me, regarding Hasvan's troops that I had just mentioned. My mistake.

A thought about the signal lights.. We have a plan set up, it wouldnt' be a stretch to assume that the first time you see lights in the sky, it's the first step of the plan. Second, is the second, etc.
