That and there is no such thing as a passive intimidate check as far as I know. From what I read yesterday, an intimidate check to demoralize the enemy and cause the shaken condition is a standard action. Last edited by Alexader; Jan 22nd, 2013 at 03:22 AM. |

Yes, and it has to make some kind of sense, not only in the rules kind of way. For instance, intimidating a king in his own throne room, surrounded by his best troops(even if the king is very low level etcetera) will be much harder than doing the same thing when he is alone, in a dark alley which he doesn't know.

That's true to, although rule wise there are no bonuses for such a thing. Unless the leader or one of the henchmens have an effect to give bonuses against fear effects.
Thats why there are those abilities, specifically because the absence of such abilities implies the absence of any sort of bonus. There is also the matter that they have all been hurt pretty badly, they are cut off from the remainder of their army, and they have no clue how that army is fairing. Keep in mind that Althazar has an ever present frightful aura that make them more susceptible to fear affects |

I am just waiting for a good chance to release a 30 foot radius burst of 2d6 negative energy I think it is coming soon.
Then again, Althazar is quite the charmer as well, and in full favor of his goddess Last edited by Alexader; Jan 22nd, 2013 at 03:47 AM. |

I am a little confused by the warlords action, 5 ft step free, grapple to pull a warrior in his path standard action, retrieve an item move action, drink a potion standard action....
Hes got an extra standard action there. |

What the warlord is doing is basically taking a five foot step to get outof reach directly backwards, where the lightning fried one of his bodyguards(Monzoul is a large creature, but of the long rather than the tall type so he has a reach of 5ft.), retrieve and drink the potion(his other actions). The other orc getting thrown in front of him is actually a description thing of a bodyguard moving up to take his place. I thought that it would look nicer if the warlord threw him there than when hejust moved up.

He has a reach of 5 ft, but his bite attack specifically states reach 10 ft.
The bodyguard couldn't move up it's not his initiative the grapple check would be required. Last edited by Alexader; Jan 22nd, 2013 at 05:49 AM. |

I must have missed that then. The drinking the potion will then get you your AoO. He barely manages to survive your attack, and the potion heals him a little.

Well, technically retrieving the potion got him the AoO before he had a chance to drink it, just saying

Yes, it did, but he survived the attack, and then drinks the potion.

Raunchel, am I near any friendly archers? Footsoldiers will do, they don't have to be accurate, just able to fire an arrow into the orc horde blind (basically, they have to be able to hit the broad side of "any one of twenty" barns blindfolded
