Amazing writing from an amazing GM!
The ending was full of humor and at the same time ingenious and so very touching. I hoped that Beau might return in some way, but I didn’t dare put it into words. Thank you, Mallothi, for this incredible game - I enjoyed it a great deal! Thank you, fellow players, for adding such richness to the story! Each Familiar truly feels like a dear friend by now. Who would have thought that a cat, an owl and a rat could work so well together? Finally, thanks to those who commenced the journey, but were unable to finish it. The characters they breathed life into shall forever remain in the witch’s hut, loved and cherished by their mother! PS (@Mallothi): Don’t think that the beginning of the (Fam-) Iliad went unnoticed. Loved it!

Brijida is still there, however, as lovely and spirited as ever!

An excellent conclusion to the story !
This has been an amazing campaign. I am grateful for all the creativity and effort put into this world and its characters, both by the DM and the players. To think that we played what was honestly quite a silly, one-page system (with an equally silly premise), and it all led to such a great story... This was, without a doubt, the best campaign I've seen run on this forum, and I am thankful to have played well, technically, two parts a part in it. Also, it's alive! Now let's hope Beau gets out of there before the cucumber monster finds her. So, considering the fact that this was Volume I... Are there any plans for a Volume Deux in the making ? |

DemonSlayer and Elanir said it all: I am so grateful for the great care, effort, and heart that went into this game. I’m sad to see the tale come to a close, but the final round of PC posts were just perfect, I can’t imagine it wrapping up any other way. Thank you, thank you, Familiars one and all, past and present. This has easily been one of my favorite TTRPG experiences—virtual or otherwise—and I’m very proud of the story we told together.
As for Volume II, I can’t say exactly what that’ll look like now. When I first launched this game, I expected it to be a quick, casual romp, buttoned up in a matter of a few months. My plan was originally to run the game a few times over, if the first go was a success. I may still do that—starting from fresh, rolling up an entirely new scenario, in a different setting, with new characters. Then again, if enough writers want to reprise their roles, I would have a hard time saying no to a straight sequel. Whatever the case may be, I’m content to take a break and focus on other games for a while. It will be some time before I can think of “The Witch is Dead” as something other than this specific story, and your wonderful characters. But rest assured: you all will be the first to know if another Witch needs avenging. Thank you, and see you out there!
