Maps, Maps, Maps

Here we have a map of the entire world, which is a disc with very definite edges. Though not clearly defined in this map, it is a complete circle and what isn't land is water.

A note on navigation: Since the sun and moons do not rise in the same spots from day to day directions are far more subjective than one may be used to on a spheroid planet with poles. The disc does not spin, and the only two definite cardinal directions are towards the very center, and towards the edge. These directions have no uniform term and are invariably known by many names across a variety of cultures such as "Mountainways", "Stairways", "Inside", "Outside", "Edgeways", "Widdershins (with the center of the world to one's left), and Deosil (with the center of the world on the right) etc. Short distance navigation is usually done based off landmarks, common roads, rivers, and other geographical features. Longer distance travel is a bit more 'ad hoc' and imprecise. Since the earth has no curve, the only real obstruction to line of sight is terrain and atmosphere, so generally people can see farther than a traveler can in our world. That is not to say that there haven't been many valid attempts at more concrete cardinal directions. Tribes, towns, nations, and whole regions have managed to settle on their own form of north, south, east, and west - generally incorporating large landmarks that are consistantly visible even in the worst weather as well as the center of the world and the edge. However, these are generally regionally specific and translate poorly to other areas. Travel by night can be fairly precise, however, due tot he way the stars remain fixed in the sky.
