You are awoken by the sound of particularly heavy footfalls. Bofgrim is up and putting on his boots. The house is nearly as dark as when you went to sleep, although you can still see clearly.

I sit up. Bofgrim is already putting on his boots? Is he getting ready to go to work? "Mister Bofgrim, please don't leave without me. If I go outside without an escort, locals are likely to be afraid of me. I know you're busy. Perhaps Pearl could help again. Or perhaps I can hire Alton. From what you've said it sounds like he's healthy and has a great deal of free time."

I start getting up and ready to go. I still need to meditate. I'd hoped to wake before Bofgrim and meditate then.

Bofgrim snorts. "If you don't want to get left behind then you'd best hurry up. I've got fields to reap. But, I think Pearl will probably be coming by to look after you before too long. So, do as you please."
