Color me intrigued, though I confess I know next to nothing about Eberron beyond it’s the one with the robots.

I'm thinking Silver Flame Cleric or Paladin. I've always wanted to make a crusader from a noble family of Thane. Probably an aberrant dragonmark for some uniqueness.
Would you allow the zeal domain?

I'm having troubles thinking of an amored priest of the Silver Flame Casting a Fireball..

But then again, the thought of your holy cleric shooting a Silver Fireball is pretty cool...

I see nothing to not allow it.

Ek'e'Den
right-aligned image

Name: Ek'e'Den
Race: Half-Drow (Sulatar)
Class: Sorcerer (Giant Soul)

Appearance: With skin a shade or two darker than your average half-elf, eyes of a deep red and a strange spear with a stone tip Ek'e'Den has a rather unusual appearance. Those who have visited Xen'drik might recognise the tattoos on his body, not as a true Dragonmark, but rather as the ritual markings of a follower of the Promise of Fire.

Ek'e'Den is dressed in foreign looking travelling clothes and carries a few belt pouches and daggers besides his spear, he doesn't appear to fit in no matter where he is, even amongst half-elves and especially not those of the Houses. His tattoos show him to be different and other, whilst the twist to his lips and fire in his eyes keeps many from trying to make his acquaintance.

Background: Born to a Sulatar mother and a captive human who, whilst never being accepted, was eventually allowed to move freely within the tribe as he pledged his fealty to them, Ek'e'Den lived a life as a derided outcast. Through his young years he was mocked for his human blood and for his lack of a true connection to the Giants.

That all ended when on his eleventh birthday he manifested magic and not in a small way. He was being bullied by another youth, Ek'e'Den raised his hand to defend himself, anger flowing through him and the ritual tattoos of the Sulatar formed around his arm in searing pain. The marks that adults of his tribe had to painstakingly earn step by step flooded the young outcasts body, channels of fire running across his flesh, he screamed in fear and exultation and fire leaped from his finger tips to scorch the other youth, leaving him burned and scarred.

Since then Ek'e'Den has been feared and hated from afar rather than bullied. In response to the scheming against him within the tribe he and his mother moved to the edge of the Giant Ruin in which they lived, then steadily further and further out until they simply lived together in the jungle. When assassins from the tribe came for him, many years later, his mother had told him to run and Ek'e'Den had fled through the trees until he came to the port of Stormreach. Thanking his father's heritage for the first time in his life he was able to take ship and sail for Khorvaire, swearing to gain enough power to bring vengeance for his mother and to do the ancient Giants proud, for whilst his tolerance for his tribe was at its end he still revered the Promise of Fire and the Giants of old who had granted him this power.

I've used Giant Soul Sorcerer for a Sulatar Half-Drow, is that OK? It's playtest material and I don't know if its WGtE or not, but it was too perfect a match to miss. I love Eberron and particularly the lore of the drow.

Application - Semaj
right-aligned image
Name: Semaj Yagmur

Concept: In the aftermath of the war, the Dhakaani have begun actively recruiting wizards and sorcerers as well as training their own. I am one. I was sent out into the world to find powerful relics and magical allies. I failed, and fled.

Class: Wizard (War Magic)

Race: Female Hobgoblin (Kech Volaar)

Homeland: Darguun (Volaar Draal)

Background: In the beginning, there was Dhakaan. Before men, before elves, before everything, there was Dhakaan. There was war. There is always war. War is Dhakaan, Dhakaan is war. Dhakaan. War.

Muut. Atcha. These are the first words we hear. These are the words we always hear. The other races understand atcha, at least somewhat. To achieve glory, to do great deeds - these things they know. Some of them. They have no grasp of muut, and so the fullness of atcha eludes them. To gain honor while doing your duty, this is the purpose of life, and it is the purpose of every moment of every day. Others see it just on the battlefield or at the council table, but we know that to leave the barracks dining hall spotless is muut. We know that to tell the truth of a trangression that no one else observed is great atcha.

And I have no atcha. Everything I am is a lie.

It was not always so. Muut has always been my life, and I gained much atcha. There is always war. Many thousands of years ago, when we ruled the world, there was war with the Daelkyr. After that war, we descended into our mountains and trained for the next war. There is always war. For untold numbers of generations, Kech fought Kech in the world underneath the world. That is muut. There is found atcha.

In the world above our world, our...cousins, the Ghaal'dar, squabbled, fought, enslaved, bled, and died, often for no good reason. The savages lost sight of muut and see atcha as the humans and the other weak races do. But the humans are, of course, weaker still and understand less. During what the surface foolishly calls "The Last War", our cousin Haruuc gained much atcha by forcing the soft ones to recognize part of what is ours, now called Darguun. Haruuc, at least, knows something of muut, trying to forge the Ghaal'dar into something like what they could be. Something like what WE are. They are many, and we are few. Kech now fights Kech less than before, mere squabbles now. We train, we watch, and we wait. Whether Haruuc will prove worthy of us, or whether we will judge the time right to emerge and reclaim what is ours, this is not known. The preparation for war is war.

We of Kech Volaar keep the old ways, but we are not foolish. The soft races have learned much since we went under the mountains. There is no atcha in using a bronze sword to attack steel. Our weapons, our armor, is better than it ever was. But the soft races have magic we have never seen. Our duur'kala are skilled, but the magic they have discovered is formidable. We must have it. Tuura Dhakaan knows this.

Quietly, our agents have hired a small number of wizards and sorcerers to come under the mountains. Even more quietly, our agents have captured some few more and convinced them to help us. The ancient artifacts we hold and the prospects of finding more are attractive to some. The soft ones are not fit for lives of muut and atcha. Tuura instead set them to training our own. There have now been three generations of Kech Volaar magic users, and I am such a one. That is muut. For years, there was atcha.

My potential was noticed at a young age, and I was given to the wizards to train. Of course, I also learned some weaponcraft, for that is war, but most of my life was spent studying arcane magics. Hour upon hour, day upon day, year upon year. I worked hard, and I learned well. That is muut. To do your duty quietly and well brings atcha. Then, finally, my training was over and I was assigned to a warband, skirmishers. Lightly armed and armored, fast, stealthy, our responsibility was to roam the fringes of our surface lands, looking for lost habitations of our people and the treasures they might hold. I failed.

I was a coward. On my first real mission, my warband was ambushed by Ghaal'dar raiders, and I froze. My band, including two of my brothers, were slaughtered, and I survived by digging a hole with my magic and covering it with an illusory tree. When the attackers left, I fled. I made my way through Darguun and the other realms, a nameless exile and adventurer. If I return home and the truth becomes known, complete dishonor and exile is the best I can expect. I hope my cowardice was a one-time mistake, but feat it may be indicative of a deep character flaw.

I admit I know very little of the setting so I'm thinking I'll put something up here, a round of adjustments, then a sheet? That sound okay, Emb?

Application - Bryn
left-aligned image
Name: Bryn Anvilsong
Alignment: NG
Race: Half-Elf
Class: Fighter [Battle Master]
Background: Soldier [Scout Specialty]

Personality Trait:* I always have a Plan.

Ideal:* Greater Good.

Bond:* Never leave a Comrade Behind.

Flaw:* I'd rather eat my armor than admit when I'm wrong.

Description:
Bryn Anvilsong always has a look in his eyes like he's expecting a fight. Life did not begin kindly for Bryn and if nature had taken it's course he would have been snuffed out before he had a chance to start. The clue is in his name, his last name is a strong Dwarven one but his first name is a Child Name of the Elves. Bryn Anvilsong is a Half-Elf, but was raised by Dwarves.

Bryn's life however has taught him something important. Life is full of Struggles and Battles - but they can be Beaten. The right planning, the right training, the right action - there is no such thing as an unbeatable enemy or a no-win scenario. Just a question of thinking things through. He doesn't realize it but this makes him just a little genre-savvy for his own good.

History:
Boy, Come Here.

Bryn, I want you to hear this from me first. Your Great-Grandfather has joined the Halls of the God-Kings of the Mountains, may they Bless his Soul. That means there will be some - changes - around the Keep and in the Family. You may hear some words spoken in your direction, words about your Heritage and if ye Belong among the Anvilsong.

I know you know you were adopted when you were a wee babe, it would be hard not to. But I never told you the circumstances, and perhaps I should have. If I hurt you like that, I am sorry. I was a Third Son, so when I was a younger Man I took to the Roads to prove myself to the Anvilsong as we do. I became an Adventurer, and in time I made friends and formed a Company. Among my last companions were a human named Brian and an elf named Xanathia.

I do nae know when they became lovers, I only found out when we had to stop adventuring for a time because Xanathia became with child. Then word got back, my deeds had led to another Clan deciding I was worth an arranged marriage so we decided that our last Adventure would to held escort me to the Clan's Keep. The roads were safe, Xanathia could even ride in the cart as she was heavy with you.

There were Assassins. Your Birth-Father died saving your Mother's life and your Birth-Mother took a poisoned blade meant for Me. Our healers and clerics did what they could but in the end we could only save Her or You and She chose You.

We did try to set you up with your own people, but your Birth-Father was a War Orphan, if we had left you in a human orphanage you'd have died in a gutter in a human city somewhere. Your Birth-Mother's people were part of an elven House but when they found out you were Half-Human they refused to take you. So we raised you, and it is true that your Mother and I figured at the time we at least owed the Debt of Honor, at first. I swear to you though Bryn, Only at first.

Now, Listen Carefully to me Boy, I want you to remember this for as long as you live. We are your Family. To your Mother and I you are our Oldest Son. Ye steps on the Stones in this Keep are lighter than those of ye Brothers and Sisters but they belong here. Unfortunately, in the eyes of the Clans, you are a Debt that our Clan had to pay. If I officially made ye my Heir the other Clans would nae accept you. Ye will have to make your own way, Bryn.

But you have always been quick on ye feet, I still know some people, and most of all ye are an Anvilsong. That will be all ye need. Besides, with that thin dusting you call a Beard I'm pretty sure I couldn't marry you off if I tried.

I have to say I prefer keeping to the Standards as much as possible. I never Got why people had to do such and such, when a simple Human was just as fun.
I never said you can't play a mystic, I just wrote keep it to the WGte.
If you can write up a Mystic with a good Eberron Flair, I could go for it.
I assume a Mystic is a Arcane Caster. There are already two Arcane Apps, so the Competition is growing. If you do, then give me a link to the Play test material.

GleefulNihilism
I have to say, I know your reputation as a Gamer and I would like to Game with you. I am not ashamed to admit it, if I know of one's reputation, it goes a long way.
With that said, I am writing this as a Fan Service to the Eberron Nerds out there. (Which I would be in contention to be King... If not a Duke.)
Your app is lacking the Eberron flair and baring any knock out Warrior app's you would have a chance on your writing and you may learn to love Eberron. Let's see what we get as I would like to play with you.

JohnStone
You got the Flavor started right. Can't wait for a write up.

Berith
I Love it. Ghaal’dar are one of my Favorites, and I loved my Kech Volaar Bard I played years back. You are in the Running..

Ethelden
I admit.. I saw the Half-Drow and I was like, What the Heck.. Then I realized you knew of the Dark Elf Origins. I like it.. Give me a link to the Giant Soul Playtest material.

All,
I am new to 5e, I played a couple games a few years back, but I have been stuck on Pathfinder for ever. I just finished DMing a long running home campaign (3 years) about 6 months past and we switched DM's with the new game in 5e. I just started playing a 5e Eberron game with my children. (18 yo son and 16 yo daughter).
I am playing a 5e Skinned Star wars game (look the rules up on Reddit).
So I do not have the experience with the rules as I did in 3.5 and PF. I am hesitant to add Playtest rules, but if you have a compelling story that has a great Eberron Flair I am open to anything. I have also been rules lite and always rolled with whatever is more fun, so you may see rule mechanics I miss. Just let me know, While I have an Ego, it is not easily bruised.

I didn't put it in the app as I didn't want to skew things, but I am running an Adventure Path from the Dungeon Masters Guild - An Across Eberron Adventure - the Convergence Manifesto. I have been running my kids through it and am familiar with the story, My Kids are new and are not going indepth as much as I would want to so I am bringing the game here.

I will most likely taking 5 applications. I like to go for a Balanced Party
Slot 1 - Warrior of some sort
Slot 2 - Divine Caster
Slot 3 - Arcane Caster
Slot 4 - A Skill Monkey
Slot 5 - Redundant

As of now we have two arcane that are looking at Slot 3 and 5.
We have two for Slot 1. One that is fitting the flavor but not finished and one that is all in by rep, but has a non Eberron flair app.
Depending the apps I may take a 6th... And I just might as I know we're bound to lose a player despite people intentions.

Playtest Material - If if has a good Eberron Flair, I'm game. Just shoot me the links in your app, Yes, I could google it, but save me the energy and send me a link,
