Sorry, this many rolls per round isn't going to work in an ongoing way. It's a huge pain in the ass. I need to make 3 rolls per NPC attacked on the first round, and double/triple that every round after. We can either trash Edemic entirely and you can build a new power or redistribute the points/

Or make Dodge, Toughness, and Will into a Ranged Attack Check for Dodge (DC 10+Dodge rank), a roll (1d20+5+3xDoS on attack check perhaps?) for Toughness (DC 10+Toughness), and a roll for Will (1d20+5+3xDoS on Toughness check?) (DC10+Will). That way, you can make three rolls, and I can compare them to the target's defenses.

A Hero Point for the trouble. You now have 5.

Degree of success. Succeeding by <=5 is 1, <=10 is 2, <=15 is 3, <=20 is 4, etc

May need some time on this. My idea wasnt for directly powerful effects but those that would eventually wear down a target... Mebbe I'm just in the wrong game for that, seems like you have to hit like a tank to have a chance of reducing toughness by a point or two, then do it again next round. Plus the ability to engage multiple targets was nice.

Take as much time as you want. You're still in your solo game, so we've got all the time in the world to work out kinks like this. I'd spring for Weaken if you want to take out toughness. Although, ahem, there might be a Broad Weaken 8 coming down the pipe for you. Hint hint.

Ok, the other power Miasma has the same issues - being cloud plus secondary effect, but close only. So thinking of scrapping both for a harder-hitting ranged multi attack power, and some sort of mobility or utility power instead. Sound good in principle?

Go for it. I'd keep the mobility/utility power at least a little reasonable (no flying, teleporting, dimensional, etc)

Something like this for the attack power, I know its not incredibly flavorful but:

Widget Hammer (8 ranks total 40 points)
Damage (1)
Ranged (1)
Multiattack (1)
Penetrating (1)
Accurate (1)

A stream of nanites ram(s) the target(s), their relatively small size overcoming most protections like armor or thick skin.

For the utility power I'm thing something quickness and enhanced skill/ability based, intended to speed up things like treatment, technology, and invention. Not too out there to proceed with specifics?

So what you want is:
Damage 8, Increased Range (Ranged) (200/400/800), DC 23, Accurate +2, Multiattack, Penetrating 1.

I'd consider adding Diminished Range 2 (40/80/200) (-2) or 3 (16/40/80)(-3) both to recoup points and add flavor. Penetrating 1 won't do much, since anybody with Impervious Resistance 16 (the minimum needed to resist Damage 8) can likely make a DC 16 Toughness check (15 base +1 damage rank, roll 1d20+Toughness) most of the time. Consider swapping Penetrating for Incurable, or increasing the rank of Penetrating and trade off with Diminished Range.

Quickness sounds fine.

Umm penetrating should be 8 just like the effect rank. Limited range sounds fine, we can figure out enough to get the effect rank up to max 10. Maths to come on both tomorrow.
