Attributes: BOD: 6/11 AGI: 4/6 REA: 5/6 STR: 5/10 WIL: 6/6 LOG: 3/6 INT: 5/6 CHA: 3/6 EDG: 1/6 MAG: 6 Name: Alvina Caulfield (Fake SIN reads as Kierra King) AKA: Snuggles Meta: Sasquatch Age: 19 Role/Class: B&E Mystic Adept Positive Qualities: Speed Reader, Photographic Memory, Trust Fund (High Lifestyle plus 1000 nuyen spending money per month) Negative Quality: SINner (Corp Born) Description: Born in the Seattle area, Alvina grew up with chestnut fur to help conceal her movements in the wilderness. She stands shorter than most sasquatches by about a quarter meter. She is also slimmer than most. However, she is still much tougher and stronger than the average human despite her obviously small size compared to her own kind. Her gait lopes along in a nearly predatory manner. Each footfall is almost entirely silent. Her movements are graceful, lacking any jerking movements or sudden bursts of speed. Her grooming is as impeccable as she can maintain at any given moment. Her fur is trimmed and brushed, her skin cleaned, clothing cleaned carefully. Clothing she wears tends to be practical. Even in formal settings, Alvina will wear clothing that won't hinder her movements. Personality: Like all sasquatches, Alvina does not speak any language. Her family used Warlpiri Sign Language, but they also taught her American Sign Language equally for the purpose of communicating outside their family group. As such, she uses the preference of her companions, but in private, she uses Warlpiri. If her companions get close enough to her, she will try to convince them to pick up Warlpirir so they can communicate freely without translator software. Her behavior is best described as patient and perceptive. She tends to take position in a more supporting role that avoids the direct lead. If given the room to operate freely, Alvina will support her team with a mix of spells or spirits and pistol shots. Due to an early childhood experience, Alvina is incredibly uncomfortable with drinking alcohol. She absolutely refuses to drink alcohol, but she does not try to stop her friends from enjoying their pints. She will, however, attempt to keep them from getting absolutely plastered and make sure they get home safely. If the friend cannot walk, Alvina is not above carrying them out of the bar. When in the privacy of her home, Alvina wears nothing. Around strangers and in public, she will wear clothing to prevent social gaffs. Guests at her home also cause her to remain clothed unless they are very close friends who have given explicit permission for her to act normally. Background: Born into a SINless family, Alvina's early life was punctuated by watching her father work tirelessly to support his family and raise her while her mother drank herself to the bottom of a bottle, beating her father any time he tried to stop her. As she witnessed the abuse and began to understand it, she also realized why her father took it each time. He was keeping himself firmly planted as the target so Alvina wouldn't get the brunt of it. When her father was out working, she got dropped off at a neighbor's home. The neighbor treated her pretty well. They bonded and the middle aged elf woman became a mother figure to Alvina. Things progressed as usual until Alvina turned ten. Shortly after her birthday, which set her father back a good amount since he threw a party for her, her father and mother got intoa fight one night. Her mother had a bottle of whiskey and was ready to fight. Her father argued with her about spending the money on the party for Alvina. Alvina, meanwhile, pressed herself into a corner, trying to be invisible. Her mother drew first. Out came a holdout pistol. Much to both her mother's surprise and Alvina's bewilderment, her father reacted like a professional. He reacted with a single action, drawing a knife and killing his mother before a shot could be fired. Her father calmly cleaned the blade and returned it before trying to find his daughter. He looked right at her, but he seemed confused. He called out to her like she wasn't in the corner. Alvina moved just a little towards him. His head snapped to her position and he seemed to notice her. The first words out of his mouth were, "Damn, magic training is gonna be expensive." She didn't understand at first, but it gradually dawned on her that she must have cast some type of spell. Her father called in a contact to properly mask what had happened to prevent legal backlash on the family. By morning, everything was buried or diverted well enough. Alvina spent a couple weeks at the elf woman's home. There, she started asking questions. Faced with a veritable onslaught of questions, the elf woman eventually just told her. Her father was a shadowrunner. He did missions for people that needed deniable assets. Alvina couldn't say she was completely surprised after what happened, but the next statement took her off guard. The elf woman told her that she too was associated with shadowrunning. She was the fixer for Alvina's father. Alvina and the elf woman left it at that and resumed the daily orders of business. Years later, when Alvina turned thirteen, her father died on mission. Alvina ended up living with the elf woman. She helped pay her way by working as a bouncer in a club. In the club, one night, she broke up a fight between a well-dressed man and a couple thugs. The thugs ran, leaving the man bloodied but alive. Alvina patched him up and bought him a drink. The man and Alvina, over time, developed a pretty solid friendship. The man himself was a human, around the age of her dad. The man eventually began to treat Alvina to outings and gave her advice. Their relationship, over about a year, shifted from one of friends to a sort of de facto father/daughter setup. Alvina seemed to provide the man with a daughter he often mentioned wanting, and Alvina gained a person to act as a father for her. He ended up offering to take her in and put her through magical studies in a corporation he worked within. Alvina figured it would work out nicely. Upon entering the corp, Alvina figured she would be living like a wage slave. She was utterly wrong. The man was much higher up the totem pole of EVO. He was managing a few projects in the Seattle area. Through what Alvina can only describe as corporate maneuvering to the extreme, the man got her a full blown corporate SIN. She lived comfortably under corp tutelage, thriving well in the more intimate culture there. At the age of 18, she had graduated from the magical training and was set to enter her surrogate father's department. Unfortunately, due to some corporate underhanded politics, a rival blocked her from doing so. To prevent further issues, her surrogate father sent her out into the city with a trust fund to sustain her. He explicitly told her that, "Do whatever you need to for your entertainment, just don't get me in trouble." Alvina set about doing odd jobs, eventually falling into her biological father's career path. She is not too afraid of her father cutting out her funding frequently, if at all, but she tries to avoid jobs that may bring her relation to light or cause direct harm to her father's projects. She also tries to avoid drawing attention to herself in case legal issues may come back on her father. She also reconnected with the elf woman who watched over her earlier in her life. That elf woman is now her fixer.

I finally figured out how to cure my money and Karma problems. Flipped karma for cash and bought a van. Bike fits inside nicely, so...
I do believe that Ajax is as done as I can get him. I just don't know how to properly calculate the overflow boxes.

Eventually, my plan is to turn the van into a mobile shop of sorts, make bombs or broken gear.

Social Limit of 8 currently. I am thinking of shifting her from B&E to a full on leader type of face that uses instruction and leadership.

App going here, WIP. I have an idea of what I'm building, I'll fill it in as I get time. It shouldn't take too long.
Priorities: Meta (D), Attribute (D), Magic (B), Skills (C), Resources (A) Attributes: BOD: 1/6 AGI: 6/6 REA: 3/6 STR: 1/6 WIL: 3/6 LOG: 4/6 INT: 1/6 CHA: 2/6 EDG: 2/7 Name: Meta: Human Role/Class: Heavy Weapons Specialist/Adept Rough Background/Personality: Character's mother is high up in one of the corps (not sure which yet, need to look into that), he left because he didn't like being played by her, and didn't like how the corporations acted. Anarchist, willing to work on a job for a corp if other goals get furthered in the process. Tries to keep his corporate ties more or less secret from those who don't need to know. Side thought: Mother could maybe be a hook for a plot job. He'd be likely to take on something from her, albeit reluctantly, as long as there was something good enough in it for him. I mentioned that I might move the deadline up at some point and I've decided I am going to. It seems like most of the sheets are mostly done and I'm not seeing a lot of new applicants, so I'm going to select applicants on the seventh. If anyone has any issues with this please message me so we can talk it over. We'll go aead and set the cutoff as 12 noon so that I have time to look over applicants and announce the winners the same day. No reason to leave everyone in suspense for too long.

Names and aliases: Kamiko Miyamoto
Core character concept: A gifted elf shaman born to human parents who had promising careers at Renraku corporate headquartes. Kamiko was orphaned in Seattle and grew up in the Barrens. Personality: Spirited might be the best way to describe Kamiko (sorry, couldn't resist). She's full of energy and quick with a laugh. Due to her humble upbringing Kamiko lacks the typical elven sense of arrogance and entitlement. Most non-elves find this refreshing but many of her fellow elves find it disturbing or disdainful. She's not squeamish when it comes to a job but she won't tolerate collateral damage. Ultimately Kamiko's a lover not a fighter. Except when it comes to Red Samurai. In the presence of her hated foe the shift in her personality is frightening. Motivations and goals: In order to keep her safe from the anti-metahuman policies of both Renraku and the Japanese Imperial State Kamiko was declared stillborn (thanks to an obscenely large bribe). Next she was smuggled from Chiba to Seattle and the Miyamotos faded into the obscurity of the Puyallup Barrens. Though it took many years Red Samurai eventually caught up to them. Little Kamiko only escaped the slaughter because Renraku didn't know to look for her. It's likely Kamiko would never have survived growing up on the streets if it hadn't been for Peacock. After her family's demise Kamiko realized the spirits she had long sensed weren't just her overactive imagination. With her totem's help she learned how to call on these spirits for aid and harness her own magical potential. There was no shortage of opportunities to hone her craft in the Barrens. It wasn't long before she realized she could use her abilities to make a better life for herself. Even more importantly she could avenge her parents' deaths and the way to do both was through running the shadows. When she was way too young and way too inexperienced Kamiko managed to convince a ragtag crew of runners to take her on. Though it was obvious she was completely green they needed a shaman and after all it was only a milk run. Things went...poorly. In the years since she has gained significantly more skill and at least a little wisdom. Archetype: first aid & magical healing, spirit & spell support, backup face Gender, meta-type, and appearance: The Yomi Island Decree makes a Japanese elf woman a rare sight. Kamiko's sense of style makes the experience entirely unique. Call it eclectic street wear if you're feeling generous, garb a thrift store would reject if you're not. The only piece of her ever changing attire not ripped, frayed or sporting at least one hole is her armor. Yet somehow she makes it work. Of course she's willing to look more professional if a run calls for it...but only if it's absolutely necessary. Short (for an elf anyways) and skinny Kamiko is far less delicate than she appears. Her usually short hair changes colors (emphasis on the plural) more often than many runners change clothes. While she does take care of her appearance Kamiko's fine features and elven grace make her naturally beautiful. Priorities: A - Magic B - Skills C - Attributes D - Metatype D - Resources Attributes B 3/6 A 3/7 R 4/6 S 2/6 W 4/6 L 2/6 I 3/6 C 6/8 Negative Qualities: Code of Honor (-15) Distinctive Style (-5) Vendetta (-7) Positive Qualities: Focused Concentration 3 (12) Bilingual (5) Mentor Spirit (5) Quick Healer (3) Notes: I realize I took 27 points of negative qualities but as I'm gaining no benefit for those 2 extra points I doubt it will be a problem. If it is though I will swap some things around. As far as the mechanics go for Peacock as a mentor spirit I'll either copy one of the existing totems or work something out with you Rahzeil. I didn't think any of the ones presented really fit Kamiko so I scoured the internet for ideas. When I came across Peacock I thought it was a perfect match. |
