[PF-1e] Prison Colony Krakengard - The Daylight War

Alright, I believe this is the final round of requested reviews. If you have requested a review and you do not find one in this (or one of my earlier) post(s), then please post again stating you want one as you've somehow slipped through the cracks. Same goes for everyone else who still wants one and hasn't asked yet. If the deadline stays the 29th that means I only guarantee to get your review in if you have requested it by the 22nd. I'll still try to work it in if you ask later than that and I should have time for a few at the very least, but if life throws me a curveball you might end up being out of luck. Which doesn't mean, of course, that you don't stand a chance to get in without me having reviewed your character, so don't let missing the deadline of the 22nd stop you.

On a side note, the RP samples I typed up were just to get an idea of my writing style and how Virgil feels about himself, including his potential motivations. Knowing that the game starts before we even get into Krakengard, they are all fanciful imaginary scenarios that likely have nothing in common with actual life or events in the colony.

Since we're talking about RP samples, I want to mention that my RP sample might not reflect how I play my character. I mean, how do I put this? The sample is only one aspect of my character, and I happened to pick a pretty... serious and unhappy aspect? I'm actually a drama-action-comedy person, with comedy being the strongest. Of course, I'm not sure how comedic I can be in this grim setting. I think Squeak did a good job in that regard. (GeoAvanti's character has a funny vibe too, and I like suburbanplankton's character for having a light-hearted-ish vibe.)

We'll have to see how things go. I make no promises, if I have time for a second round I'll do some more reviews, but there is also a very real chance I'll be to tied down to take the time to do it properly...

Great! I was pretty confident back then when I first applied, because there were many incomplete applications, and speaking from experience, I know most would leave them unfinished, so I was sure I had a good chance of being accepted just based on odds alone.

Now I'm not so confident anymore... Still, I'll stick to unlikely that Inem has time for more anywayno reviews and no revisions, so that you only have to read my application once. Yes, I'm very considerate, and no, I'm not very humble! And I'm going thataway before my prattle gets too weird.

You seem like a pretty agreeable GM, and I've been thoroughly interested in the different things I've seen posted thus far. I'm dropping my interest here and hoping I can get a full character up and ready to be reviewed before your Jan 22nd requested deadline. I do have a few ideas in mind and I'm about to roll a dice to see which one gets the top pick for my intellectual juices...

No sweat, just really liked the insight you gave. Even if I don't get accepted into this game, that advice will really help me in future games.

On a side note, good luck to everyone. There are a lot of good entries in my opinion. This will be an interesting game no matter who makes the final cut.

I wouldn't say that Kel is supposed to be 'comedic' as he is 'childish' and 'childlike' in equal measure. At least as I envision him. Not that he can't or shouldn't be funny, though! Heart is not a sucky superpower, dammit!

Anyway, speaking of Kel, I edited the app a little bit to clarify on my intent for his crime a little more. While I don't need a full review, Inem, I wouldn't mind a comment or two from you concerning that specific aspect of the character.

Really? But his intro was pretty silly. [X] never changes? Awkward pauses? Trying to sound like a bad dude? The rest of the application seemed more serious though, that's why I said 'funny vibe' instead of plain funny. That's the kind of thing I would normally do with my characters, but I got caught up with the serious gritty vibe of the game when I made my application lol.
