I am reading through traits right now and can I just say Holy crap. This is a very fun system and I tip my hat to you for being brave and trying it out.

Hey everyone.
Here's my tentative character sheet. This isn't a finalized character by any means, and I'd be open to modifying it to better suit the campaign. I'm also fairly new to RPG Crossing (but not to online roleplaying in general), so I might mix up my formatting a few times before I get the hang of it. Looking forward to playing some Tavern Tales with you all. Last edited by Tefmon; Jan 27th, 2016 at 03:14 PM. |

I have to look at what I can do but probably will make someone who has several copies of himself.

This looks like a great system for collaborative role playing...the dice are almost superfluous.
I'll have to give some thought to this and see if I can come up with something fun and unique for a character. The upside to it is that the possibilities are pretty much endless...the downside is that the possibilities are pretty much endless |

So Tea will be going with the standard starting 10 xp and could you combine traits into one thing ie use war machine and mount to build a mechanical dragon?

Yes, Tea is using the standard character creation options (10 xp, 3 CN, 2 treasure).
I think the intent of those traits is that each would be a separate entity (especially as War Machine explicitly replaces the attributes of its pilot), but there's nothing that says the Mount trait has to grant a biological mount. |

The only issue with it right now is that I would say you wouldn't have enough "materials" described to construct such a device. After you guys start collecting treasure, sure. Actually, I think I see what you mean now. You want to use the "Mount" trait to create a dragon mount... but you want it to be more like the War Machine trait, requiring a pilot. I think that would be fine. Just take the War-machine trait without bothering to combine them. We'll just assume you already have the materials. Just keep in mind that I wouldn't really let it be much larger than a standard horse/mount. Edit: I think Tefmon has it right. It all depends on what you want to do with it. I think war-machine's advantage is its ability to replace your stats, for example: gaining defensive abilities that would protect the pilot. I don't think you need both, and the main point is flexability... so just go with what you feel is more thematically and logically appropriate for what your imagining. Ok makes sense anyway was thinking of going with a beast master that sows destruction with his minions.

Hey there! Here's my submission. If something's not right, just tell me: I haven't had the time to read the full 1.01 rules (I'd read an earlier version).
The quick version: a warlord demon who was cursed by a long-forgotten god after he defiled one of the god's shrines. That curse brought him emotions he never felt before: compassion and guilt. He suddenly felt compassion to the numerous mortals he'd killed and feels the need to somehow make amends to the world; also, the god in question is trying to use him to bring his worship back into the world. But he's still a large, horned demon with a terrible temper who's not quite ready to be nice to everyone, and seeing as how everyone is afraid of him it's not a simple job.
