I saw an entry online for an "awakened" flesh golem PC as compared to a regular flesh golem. Would there be a preference?

Technically, Any flesh Golem will be an awakened flesh golem, a little more aware and sentient than your average flesh golem, I suppose.

I figured, but since there was the bit about using the monsters' stat blocks, I figured I should ask

Name: Isaac Swift
Race: Red Slaad ![]() (Oh dear, that picture is large!) Personality: The first thing one notices about Isaac is his big heaving handshake, which he learned from his father. Isaac's festive home environment has given him an innocent, friendly personality. He likes to chat, but social situations drain his energy quickly: if forced into a lengthy conversation about a subject he's not particularly interested in, his eyes glaze over and he won't stop repeating "you got that right." He is somewhat meek in the face of confrontation and needs to be encouraged to stand up for himself, but when he does, he has a mean right hook which may or may not inject an egg now that his claw-glands are developing. If there's something Isaac can't relate with his parents about, it's the subject of orderliness. In middle school, Isaac discovered his love of math; the consistency, the beautiful patterns, the mental exercise. He keeps his room neat and tidy and likes to schedule his days in the morning. Order makes him feel secure, something his parents don't seem to get, especially his father. Appearance: Isaac is very tall for his age (6'1") and very heavy (269 lbs) despite the fact that he appears to be rather thin. Having inherited his father's farsightedness, he wears a pair of thick glasses over his brown eyes. He subconsciously prefers to wear garish or mismatched clothing, having utterly no regard for the consequences. Backstory: It would have been impossible for Isaac to not know that he is a slaad all his life, especially with that photo of his human mother beaming and holding a writhing, cat-sized, crimson-skinned tadpole on the mantelpiece. That and the fact that every weekday night a copious man comes home at seven o'clock, flops down into the huge armchair, lights up a fat cigar, and morphs into a hulking blue slaad: this man is Carl Swift, Isaac's father. Isaac's mother is, of course, not his birth mother. If she were, he would be his mother. She is, however, his father's wife and a loving parent. That's good enough for him. Isaac grew up in a chaotic household, as do most slaadi. Seldom was there a plan for the day, his mother and father merely threw him into life with gusto. Neighbors were invited over at a moment's notice, and mom made dinner off the cuff with whatever she found in the pantry. As Isaac discovered his fondness of orderliness, his parents decided that there were some things he needed that they would have trouble providing, and so they decided to send him to Bleakhaven to let him figure that out. RP Samples: What the outer planes are slaadi? https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Slaad https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Red_slaad Thank you for considering my application! ![]() Race: Hill Giant Personality: Cara is an introspective girl with a slight inferiority complex over her intellect compared with other races. Like an intelligent bull in a high end china shop she often tries her best not to break things, but occasionally fails to succeed. She is friendly compared to most of her kind, willing enough to make friends with those many hill giants would consider 'lesser'. However she has more than a touch of the Hill Giant stubbornness about things and people she likes, which can make her seem arrogant or rude. Appearance: From a race that always believed 'bigger is better', Cara's glamour was formed into a rather husky girl that stands near six and a half foot tall. Her hair is bleached blond, and she wears just a touch of makeup on her tanned face, something basically unknown among the rest of her family. Her clothes are rugged affairs, cheaply bought things due to her families general lack of money and her own habit of ripping them with her massive strength. Backstory: Cara comes from a small tribe of Hill Giants living in a fairly isolated spot near a logging camp. The family has worked as glorified construction equipment there for generations, generally being paid a fraction of what they are due and with their true race being a poorly kept secret. For the last couple of decades members of her Tribe have been trying to get more money for their work, but the lack of restraint some show and their lack of intellect leave them easy marks in a world of guns and lawyers. Spotted for the intelligent (for a Hill Giant) girl she was the tribe put together a collection to pay for her schooling, with the hope that she might come back and actually give them a chance of advancement. Her own thoughts on the matter are conflicted, knowing she is smart(er) but also below the human level means she will need to work hard if she ever wants to learn what her family needs. Her upbringing in a hill giant household in the middle of nowhere has also poorly equipped her for social interaction with humans, though she is more than willing to learn. RP Sample: WIP

How does the Glamour actually work? If I am a 30ft tall hill giant does the glamor actually make me human size with human strength? Or am I still a thirty foot tall super strong girl who only looks human sized?

I understand glamour as a sort of "reality twisting." You're still you but it's not an illusion so much as temporarily redefining what the universe expresses as being "you."
