Zuh? Do you think people can't read other people's posts? Did you just not bother reading the thread? Are you trying to cover for all the people who might have Poster2 on their ignore list? Irksome.

2. Generalizations. Hasn't anyone ever heard the saying, "All generalizations are false"? All players who use swords are unimaginative. All DMs who use a deck of many things are idiots. Anyone who plays Forgotten Realms is a munchkin. Hello? Must I link the dictionary definitions of 'prejudice', 'bias', 'stereotype', and 'generalization'? Oh I'm sorry, I forgot. This isn't about being fair, it's about you feeling good that you're so much better than everyone who plays a drow in the Forgotten Realms. My bad.

3. People who lambast other people for one little spelling/grammar error. I understand those who correct people whose posts are literally incomprehensible. I understand those who politely correct someone using a word in an incorrect fashion. I snub people who cackle madly over every little mistake in an otherwise clear post. It's about clarity, not about perfection.

4. D&D Police. Those who like to tell other people how to play the game. High-level is for twinks. Low-level is for snobs. High-magic is for kids. Low-magic is for purists. FR is for munchkins. Savage Species is for idiots.

EXCUSE ME, but who made you the D&D police? This is different from #2 in that generalists just laud their opinions all over the place, whereas #4s actually tell you that you're playing the game wrong. And they're not even playing with you. EXCUSE ME but if the DM is happy, the players are happy, and the game is spinning merrily along, who the hell are you to tell people they're doing it wrong? Did Gary Gygax knight you the D&D Avenger? The only reasons to try and make people feel bad about how they play the game are pettiness, maliciousness, and jealousy.

5. ILLLBIETRP. Also known as "I like low level because it's easier to roleplay." Roleplaying is the purview of the PLAYER, not the rules. Nothing is "easier to roleplay" in general, because roleplaying is an individual talent.

Feel free to add your peeves to the list. Someday when I'm feeling less whiny I'll post what I love about this site.
