Well, my "horse" has a 50' Speed, but cannot travel faster than that (no x2 or more running).

I gave fair warning about smart bad guys. I figure if they have high int they are smart enough to figure out 'hey this is how I lose, let's not do that.'
Don't worry however the mindless hordes and fun smashing will come. Just wanted the first adventure to make a statement about baddies actually trying to kill the party. ![]()

true but I already mentioned how you guys were left out because you did not have the movement to keep up once.

The inability of all party members to move at the same speed seriously cut down on the options available.
One time I would like to confer with a party prior to character creation and background to ensure all needs are met in composite and each member have similar qualities *such as movement speed* so that the party can work in concert. |

Also, I've never seen a properly organized party in 10+years of roleplaying. no matter the system, players are gonna play.

No, it is not being a DM. It is teamwork amongst the players. However, for a play by post experience with competitive recruitment, the DM would need make it possible for selected players to coordinate prior to character creation.

I've got to say. If the players make a plan, such as a downhill charge and an open plains combat against mounted foes, and fail to calculate for their own differences in movement, I can't do much there. I gave choice of terrain, party decided and I don't take over party decisions.

Btw, just saying it because there might be more people incoming, Small characters can ride horses, the rules say "at least a size larger" but it's not mandatory that a ride can only be a size larger. Otherwise WotC wouldn't be able to explain humans on elephants. You just need a specialized saddle, but it's doable.

recruiting again
A member of the party has gone MIA, probably due to some health issues. May or may not be back any time soon. After over a month of no response the party has decided they want another companion, maybe two. If the MIA comes back, the more the merrier. If not, better prepared than than sorry.
Please see the house rules and setting. The rules look like a lot but the payers will all tell you it is really not much. Most of it is just clarification for some situation that the rules were vague on. Of note is that lower tier PC classes gain a bonus as the game goes on. It does not totally fix the problem, but it helps even it out. Also some monster races fixes. Of Note: We are Level 4, and just about to set out on a new adventure. The party is working for someone who might literally be the (newly) richest woman in the world. After you join you will probably quickly get some additional resources. (In my game extras are always gained in play.) Standard WBL 25% per item cap. Must be good aligned or have a good reason to act so. We have: Kirk: A fighter, Corvus: A dread Necromancer Titus: A paladin Dorn: a bear-man druid (MIA) Preference is towards a rogue or cleric.
