Personality: There are many layers to Utana, though most of those layers are pent up rage. She can be sweet and kind most of the time, then suddenly have a weapon drawn. And there's regret for all the time she's pulled a weapon needlessly, meaning she no longer carries a weapon. She wants to change, to be more calm and patient, and thinks that the Eldest of Time, Shyka's, path is the way to do so.

Description: Utana is made of lean muscles with no bulk, and has never been sick a day in her life. Her skin is fair, her hair is a pinkish red, and her eyes are copper. Her courtesan's clothing is simple, but layered, and depicts the symbol of her god: Shyka. Notably, she has a singular fox tail that seems almost out of place, but it's not her fault she has such a diverse ancestry. She wears a hardened leather corset, a heavy jacket, and studded leather leggings over, over, and under her clothing, respectively, all crafted together with exquisite quality and made explicitly for her form. All is embroidered or otherwise detailed with an ornate "time" motif, including a broken hourglass symbol on the back of her jacket.

Background
Utana is from the city of guns and machines, and is trained in their craft as a result. She is of so many ancestries that she doesn't even know all of them. She knows a dragon was involved, and a kitsune, maybe a being of the First World or two, and obviously many, many humans of many, many different cultures. But she's mostly latched on to her fey ancestry and Alkenstarian heritage. It's no surprise then that while she is best suited for melee combat, she still yearns for a pistol. After all, she can't rely on her magic in the magic dead zone of her homeland. She didn't even know she was magical until she left!

The Vorin family a minor noble family. Not wealthy, per se, but wealthy enough. Most of what Utana carries was paid for with her family's money, with little in the way of adventuring done by her. Their wealth all comes from the sale of firearms they craft with the abundant mineral resources of her homeland. She spent much time training in the craft, only to discover she was far too wrathful and impatient to make firearms to the quality her family expects. Her sisters are all "perfect" in her parents' eyes because of their skill and patience, she thinks.

She left home to explore, Her reason for adventuring is a long term goal, as well.maybe find a way to temper her, well, temper. Or embrace it. One or the other, Utana suspects will make her happy. This is why she sought to travel, ending up in Sandpoint after a deal involving arming pirates with her family's firearms.

Class: Cleric (Leadership & Defence Subdomains)

Appearance: His height has dramatically increased since his days as a sewer jack (perhaps due to his later access to fresh air, decent food and actual sunlight), but he remains as rakishly thin as he was in his youth. Hasim is invariably either grinning or preening, and usually both at the same time. Impeccably (though not flashily) dressed in Katapeshi Merchant's Garb.
Personality: Greedy, Mercantile, not evil or cruel but a true Businessman, will exaggerate an item or services worth to the point of ridiculousness, but he will honour every contract, just make sure you read the small print! He is easy to overlook unless he wants to be noticed, then his strangely hypnotic voice can convince a person of almost anything!
Motivation: Hasim is a simple man with a simple dream, and that dream is to own enough Gold Coins to drown a city! Obtaining wealth and putting himself in a position where he can obtain more wealth, is his primary concern. Of course, being alive to horde it, and having living people around to trade with, will certainly filter their way into his thinking as well!
Traits: You gain a +2 trait bonus on Diplomacy checks to influence hostile or unfriendly creatures, and if you fail at such an attempt, you may retry it once.Patient Optimist, You increase the gp limit of any settlement by 20% and can resell items at an additional 10% over the amount of gp you normally would get from selling off treasure.Merchant Family

-Description: He is a gray-furred, beefy rat man, about four feet tall. He is garbed in scraps of cloth, leather, and armor cast aside by people of larger races, cut or otherwise modified for his size. He wears a tin badge of his community (the speckled triangle of the P'za-bek Rat Warren) and is seldom far from his pistol. His father had fashioned it for him from a length of lead pipe.

-Personality: Skones is wishy-washy on the idea of adherence to the law, especially if it's one that he thinks is foolish, impractical, or nonproductive, but he feels quite strongly about the well-being of his community and civic responsibility. He has gone into danger for the sake of the warren and has gone hungry so young ones could eat. His values are ingrained in him enough that selfishness doesn't really register with him, giving him a bit of a blind spot. He did have some vices, his favorite of which is human pastry.

-Background: Skones had served his warren faithfully as a guard ever since he was recognized as an adult at 12. Over the past 5 years, the warren has grown and thrived to the point of capacity. For the good of the community, Skones volunteered to accompany some of the young adults in scouting out a new warren and found Sandpoint. It was close enough to P'za-bek that they can trade and communicate, but not so close as to compete for resources, and Sandpoint has a healthy, well-built sewer system, so setting up would be quite easy. They spent a few days to put up some temporary shelters. On the day of the festival, Skones went topside to see what he could see. Any abandoned houses to scrap, useful garbage, even merchants that would be amenable to trade with them.

Name: Shalara Kali, Lady of the Violet Thorn

Appearance: Shalara is just over 6 feet tall, with fiery red hair and luminous green eyes. Her time spent out in the open plains of Varisia has tanned her skin more than most elves, and her interest in Varisian culture has lead her to pierce her long pointy ears in several places. Her wardrobe is often functional but still stylish enough to not be mistaken for a commoner while on the road. While in more civilized locales she prefers elegant gowns.

Personality: Shalara is learning to love the adventuring lifestyle, but it isn’t easy. Having grown accustomed to deriding those Forlorn elves who left Kyonin to travel with the more short-lived peoples of Golarion, she’s had to reconsider some of her previous preconceptions while on the road herself. Normally quite prim and proper with high regard for social etiquette and little patience for the problems of common folk, Shalara can come off arrogant and aloof. However, she’s recently realized that out away from the elven court, she needs the help of these ‘common folk’ and has begun to see the issues that plague them more up close, somewhat softening her cool demeanor.

Background: Shalara was born as nobility in the elven court of Kyonin, belonging to the House of the Violet Thorn. However, she only had vague memories of the Elven capital, as her house was stationed as ambassadors in Magnimar. Her house's patriarch, her father, would relay information back to the Queen in Kyonin, and advise good relations with the human populated Varisia, and encouraged his fellow elves in Magnimar to remain close to the natural world. However Shalara often shirked her studies in tracking, identifying properties of plants, and befriending the creatures of the forest in order to spend more time gossiping with the other ladies of the court and obsessing over the latest trends and fashions.

Then, tragedy struck. Her father, Volodar Kali, the Lord of Violet Thorns, died unexpectedly and many suspected foul play. After his passing, Shalara battled with remorse and guilt for not spending more time with her father, and spent a lot of time alone with the baby Roc her father had rescued and hatched from an egg. She named the baby bird Volodar, or ‘Vol’ for short, after her father.

Concern for her family grew when one of her aunts, who had taken over leadership of the House of Violet Thorns, also died unexpectedly. Member after member of her house died under increasingly mysterious circumstances until the remaining members met in secret, deciding to go into hiding throughout the countryside, hoping that they would be able to return once the mysterious cause of these deaths was solved.

Short term goal: Stay out of sight of whatever assassins plagued her family in Kyonin.
Long term goal: Train Vol to become a successful adult roc, and learn the ways of nature to honor her father.

Appearance: He stands only 5’6” and weighs a measly 125lbs, but his body is wiry and fit. His dark black eyes match his black horns but provide contrast to his bright white hair and red skin. He wears modestly little clothes and no amor to speak of.

Personality: He is jovial and outgoing. He is used to the stereotyping of his race and career choices and for the most part lets it slide off like water on his skin. He knows better than most that not everyone gets along, but you must compromise. He likes his food and drink but needs to be careful of overindulging. Casting hexes and curses in fights does not make you welcome. He tends to go by Luther rather than his official name of Azrael which he uses for business purposes.

Background: He was born a bastard and given to witches to be raised as a baby deep in the forest. That is all he knows of his past history. He learned and lived under several witches in the western forest of Sanos. He chooses not to specialize under any of them, but learn a little of each.
He was released (pushed out) from his coven and only home at eighteen and sent to make his mark in the world. After three months of traveling through the Sanos forest he ended up by sheer luck or fate in Sandpoint just in time for the Swallowtail Festival.

Short term goal/Motivations: Improve his capabilities/magic, make friends and money which will help with his first goal.
Long term goal: Show the realm that not all Tieflings and witches are of evil nature and to be the most powerful and famous (Not Infamous) witch.

Rissi is a 3'9", 60 lbs, white-furred ratfolk with haunting blue eyes and a lithe physique. She wears bandages and belts as fashion accessories, and carries with her small animal and monster skulls for the aesthetic. Her long tail is adorned with gold rings. Her limbs end in very long fingers and toes that on a human would be considered nightmarish, but are just accepted on a ratfolk as normal. She also carries an assortment of tinctures to ply her trade.

She is from a family of morticians and doctors, and kept that tradition alive by going to a medical academy. Rissi had a strong bond with her medical professor (Radeaux du Riem, a half-orc man from Galt), or at least she thought it was. The two dated for over a year before she found out he was dating other students, too. She wanted to use her medical knowledge to torture him, but decided against it, and instead just broke up with him...while he was with another student (Asatha Newcomb, a human girl from Varisia). The two made his life hell for a while, haunting him like a pair of ghosts. They later found other students he had dated, who joined them. He had a great deal of difficulty finding other students or lovers for the next year or so before the victims relented and allowed him to exist. They don't know what happened to him after that, only that he left town overnight. They were fairly certain his career was destroyed in this town, so had moved to another. They hoped rumors spread about his past wherever he was now.

She did manage to get her degree still, from a different professor, with whom she remained impersonal. She became quite the sawbones, making a name for herself in her home warren. She never got in another relationship, though, since her only relationship so far was with the one professor, and that one went horribly.

Rissi became a traveling doctor, which was quite the adventure. Especially since she had to dispatch bandits on her own at first. Well, "on her own" meaning "with the help of hirelings paid for by her family's wealth." But she did the heavy lifting, and healed both sides up afterward. After all, she had sworn an oath to help, regardless of circumstances. She's pretty sure the bandits went on to better things? Or maybe they had kept up their banditry, despite their near death experience? She'd have to find out later, if ever. She didn't share the same oath for monsters, however.

When they assumed she had raised enough money, Rissi's family pulled back her retainers. She was left alone again. She knew she would have to find others or be stuck in Sandpoint. She didn't want to have paid retainers again, so she began to look for adventurers willing to travel with her. Additionally, Asatha was from Sandpoint, and Rissi just wants to make sure she's okay now that goblins have attacked (she has other interests with Asatha, too, thinking she may just be a little gay. She's not sure, though.)
