Description: Skurvin is on the shorter side at five six and does not have an athletic build. He prefers to wear well-made clothes and tasteful jewelry to display his wealth and nobility. He meticulously grooms himself; his short dark hair is always well combed and his goatee short and trimmed. He has sharp dark eyes that pierce through those they gaze upon and a tight serpentine smile.

Personality: Skurvin is a cold and calculating manipulator who is always seeking to improve his position. He sees other people as useful tools to win over, or dangerous obstacles to be removed. While he will always put his own interests first, he is not a fool. He will help his allies in order to keep their loyalty and will not betray them unless his life depends on it. He understands that he is not a strong person, and so he relies on the strength of others to achieve his goals.

Concept Elements:
• Skurvin was born to a noble family in Cheliax
• He was bullied by his older, more physically impressive brothers and was looked down upon by his father.
• He tried to fight his brothers once but was beaten to within an inch of his life. he learned he can’t win playing their way, so he resolved himself to win fighting his own way.
• Skurvin learned to lie and charm others, manipulating the servants by learning their secrets, for everyone had one.
• He began hearing a voice whispering to him when he was alone. She made many pretty promises. Skurvin did as she told and learned many secrets including magic. He performed a ritual that gave the voice form. A beautiful, powerful form. He named her Kria
• Skurvin’s first order to Kria was to kill his family and burn the estate down, wiping the slate clean. He then set off with what money he could carry to become a self-made man
• Skurvin loves Kria unconditionally.

Goals:
PC: Skurvin adventures to earn the capital to purchase a high-end brothel which cators to important clientele in order to learn their secrets and manipulate them in the hopes of gaining power.

Player: I want to have opportunities to use Skurvin’s social skills to manipulate people

Secrets:
Known: Skurvin was a bastard child.

Unknown: Skurvin’s real father was a powerful wizard who sent Kria to serve his son.

People:
Mira Rand (friend and servant, human woman) Mira is the older twin sister of Mira. Skurvin took the twins in after their village drove them out due to a superstition that twins were the spawn of devils. She is a tomboy who likes to fight.

Millet Rand (friend and servant human woman): Millet is the younger twin sister of Mira. She is the smarter and more graceful of the two with a talent for magic. Like her sister, she is very grateful to Skurvin for saving them.

Janfadar Acarius (Nemesis human man): Janfadar is a schemer like Skurvin. The two are often working to thwart each other, but respect each other as worthy opponenets

Memories, Mannerisms and Quirks:
Memory: Skurvin’s fondest memory was when he summoned Kria for the first time

Skurvin sat at is desk in his chambers writing a letter when he heard his window open. He turned to see what he expected: his eidolon Kria stood before him. She was seven feet tall with blue skin and red hair. A long muscular tail swished back and forth excitedly as she smiled with her red lips before giving her report. “It is done,” she said. “Escaldos is dead.”

Skurvin’s tight lips pulled into a serpentine smile. “Well done, my dear. I know I can always count on you.”

“Then Kria frowned, not in disappointment, but puzzlement. “Could you explain something to me, master?”

“Nothing would give me greater pleasure,” Skurvin said.

“Why did you have Escaldos killed? Was he not your friend? He reminded me much of you.”

“Do you know why good defeats evil so often, my love?” Skurvin asked. Kria shook her head. “Because evil eats its own. Evil people cannot trust each other. We are always just waiting to betray each other. Escaldos was selfish, ruthless, and ambitious. Escaldos knew enough to black mail me, and he’s exactly the kind of person who would do it . Who could trust a friend like that? I don’t want friends like me. I want friends who are good, noble and just. Friends like that can be trusted with your life. friends like that are extremely valuable. You just have to stay on their good side."

“Like the twins?” Kria asked.

“Exactly.”

“And when they’ve served their purpose, then you kill them?” Kria asked.

“Why would I do that?” Skurvin asked. “So long as we are still on good terms, and they’re not getting in my way, their deaths gain me nothing. And they might be needed again someday.”

She has a dirty gold fur with red fur that has grown in the shape of Sylvan runes all over her body. Her paws and the ends of her tail are also colored the same blood red, and she has a third eye symbol on the center of her forehead. Yoshiko generally uses this form when she is not around other humanoids and wants to appear more like an animal. Humanoid Form: Yoshiko appears in this form to be a humanoid female with light fur on her body, fox ears, and eight tails. Half of her body has golden fur and hair, and the other half has black fur and hair, representing the two halves of the Feywild that her ancestry comes from. One of her eyes is golden, and the other is black. She generally wears traditional Japanese garb, and takes this form primarily when she is around other humanoids in order to blend in better. Personality:   f 10 Minute Background:   Here is something I use for my players that allows me to get a good background outline from my players to break the ice with. The Ten-Minute Background In an attempt to get all the information I need to create stuff from character backgrounds without having to continually push for information, I am asking that you create backgrounds the following way: Step 1: Write 5 background and concept elements that you feel are important to your image of the character. These can be a concept overview, a list of important life events, a physical description, a personality profile...whatever you need to get an image in your mind. 5 is just a minimum...more elements are encouraged! [Example: Martin Tenbones] 1) He is a former pirate and retired adventurer and now owns a tavern in the city of St. Clarice. 2) He is outgoing and charismatic, and attempts to keep abreast of all the local gossip and juicy secrets that pass his way, because he believes that knowledge is power. 3) He and his former adventuring band fought against the forces of the pirate captain Craven, who was a major lieutenant for the current Dread Pirate Hellbeard. He used the wealth that he acquired to build his tavern, but he sometimes worries that the pirates may one day decide to find him and extract revenge. 4) Though he is still friends with most of his former adventuring mates, some of them parted the group on bad terms. His girlfriend went back to the sea to fight pirates once more, but he received word that her vessel was taken by Hellbeard and believes she was killed. He mourns her death. 5) Although he is retired, he can be convinced to adventure again if he hears that Sasha (his lost love) may still be alive, or if he is contacted by the White Foxes during a crisis (see secrets). Step 2: List at least two goals for the character. At least one of these goals should be one that the character has, while another should be one that you, as a player, want to see developed over the course of the game. [Example] 1) I would like to see Martin reunited with his lost love and perhaps able to mend fences with some of his former adventuring buddies over the course of this campaign. 2) It would be cool to have Martin face and possibly defeat the Dread Pirate Hellbeard once and for all. Step 3: List at least two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet. This will help me in creating plots that center around your character. I will also be creating a third secret which you as a player will not be aware of, so expect some surprises! [Example] 1) Martin is a member of the White Fox Society, a secret society dedicated to keeping Coralton free of tyranny and evil, as well as keeping local governments honest. He provides information and rumors to them, but can be convinced to take a more active roll if pressed. 2) Sasha LeBell, Marin's lost love, is still alive. She was captured by the Dread Pirate Hellbeard and has been kept as his captive for all these years. 3) (Example of a secret I might make up about your character): Not only is Sasha alive, but also she has escaped captivity and killed Hellbeard. She has taken over his ship and crew, and has turned to piracy out of bitterness. She now IS the new Dread Pirate Hellbeard! Step 4: Describe at least three people that are tied to the character. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile. If you like, you can include an enemy of yours here as well, so I have an instant NPC nemesis to throw at you. [Example] 1) Martin's friend Audric Cwellen was one of his adventuring mate. Audric, a holy warrior in the service of the Goddess of Love, is the leader of the local cell of the White Fox society, and provides Martin with information and adventure hooks. 2) Another of Martin's old traveling companions, Aubrey LeVaine, is not as helpful as Audric, because they quarreled over the love of Sasha, and Aubrey is still bitter about losing her to Martin. Still, he can provide some magical support if Martin can convince him to let go of his hate. 3) Yebin Thistledown is a strange little creature from the Feywild called a gnome. Martin met the gnome in the Shroudmist Forest and saved him from a pack of Howlers. The Gnome makes all sorts of alchemical items and gadgets, and loves collecting odd souvenirs and items, as well as "recreational herbs." He operates a bizarre patchwork shop in the Rue Angélique district. Step 5: Describe three memories, mannerisms, or quirks that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor. [Example] 1) Martin remembers growing up in a tavern as a young boy, helping his mother with the cooking. This started his own interest in the culinary arts. 2) Martin remembers the panic he felt when he discovered that the ship he signed on to was a pirate ship after a brutal attack on a merchantman. He vividly recalls the smell of blood and burning timbers. 3) Martin often recalls the goodbye kiss he gave Sasha when she left him. No kiss he's had since ever compares to that memory. [design notes for the example character] Martin began life as an atypical barkeep. He was a retired adventurer, but still young and vigorous enough to accompany the party on their adventures. His tavern became the party's base for a while, until the BBEG of the game let off a necromantic bomb that killed most of the townsfolk and turned the town into a Zombie Apocalypse nightmare. Martin survived, and he turned into a secondary character for one of the players as he became more important to the ongoing storyline. Most of his background came from this transition from NPC to part-time PC. After the campaign reboot, Martin returned to his role as the barkeep of the party's favorite hang-out, but the players like him enough that he might return to adventuring status in the future.

She has an athletic build and very proper posture. Personality: Le’a is ambitious and is more than happy to throw herself at a cause that would better herself or others… or what might catch her curiosity. She isn’t one to throw caution to the wind but enjoys a safe amount of spontaneousness. She is generally level headed and positive thinking. Place of Origin: Ustalav, Kavapesta (the holy city of Pharasma) Character Concept: Le’a has been protecting and assisting a wizard in researching plane travel. Wich has led to several unexpected incidents. She has visited many planes and even been stranded in them from time to time. The wizard she assisted wasn’t always prepared or overestimated his abilities. At first Le’a felt like she was following the example of Pharasma, protecting her plane from outsiders. However, her own curiosity was the real driving factor. This most recent expedition went wrong, stranding her in the Forsaken Plane. As a plane traveler, she has been exposed to various elemental planes and infused their power within her. She reaches to those planes to manifest elemental calamities or infuse the living with positive energy. (I was planning on using conduit feats with DM approval see char sheet)
