Lol. Looks like everyone who found books/pathbuilder wants to experiment. I just did the same thing myself with a halfling rogue after realizing I couldn't pick up all the random gear I found in Pathfinder 1e books. My Noble halfling bard is apparently too dignified to do things like carry around a Ventriloquist dummy and prothetic hands for Perform (Comedy).

I'm surprised you didn't go for a grippli fighter or champion tbh, you could've been froggyknight!

In all seriousness though, I agree. I'm very happy to play PF2e, and I know it's a silly thing to say after 3.5 years, but it feels like it's still in its infancy, there's a lot of content that PF 1e had that I'm sort of missing, and I can't wait to see what it looks like after some 5 years. It seems great right now, but just has quite a bit fewer options compared to PF 1e.

My mental health is... not quite there. I might miss stuff. Kick me if you feel I've missed you, but my posts might disappoint for now.

Now you done it.

Alright, if I think of another possible PC I'll toss something up but I still prefer Initiate Kaylee.

I think I would stay with one character. I am eager to try the summoner, I love the summoner class and I like the pathfinder 2e system and how it focus on cooperative game as the only viable solution to beat the challenges, no lone wolf being stronger over the less optimized character. Every PC can shine.

Besides, I fell in love of my character, I can see it shining over with his curiosity and tenacity. His friendly aura and eagerness to make his thoughts in actions is the most interesting part of him.

That was the idea! Except…based off Laurie King’s Sherlock’s comments to his protege about Observation during WW1. If England had fallen, who better to help the resistance than one trained in disguise and observation?

Plus he’s my namesake

I'm going to try to finish this multiclass dedication (the Soulshaper) before you guys reach level 2 so people can use it, but...I have no motivation to actually do it. >< All I have left is ~64 paragraphs that all have to be unique.

Also, thinking I may end recruitment in 8 days (should be next Saturday if my math is right). I should have my picks by then unless there are really good latecomers.

Nice news then, I hope you find the inspiration to finish the multi-class option

MurmurName: Murmur
right-aligned image

Class: Psychic - Distant grasp - Wandering reverie
Ancestry and heritage: Human - Half-elf heritage
Background: Seer of the dead
Description:

This tall, lanky young man sports half-long, darkblonde hair. His chin shows the growth of a few days. Murmurs' clear blue eyes are filled with sorrow. He seems to be continually muttering to himself. His hair and cape are almost constantly in motion, even when there is no breeze.

Personality:

Murmur prefers to stay alone - that's rather hard to do when the recently and not so recently departed keep swarming around you. It took him some time to get used to that. The only time outside the monastery the spirits respected his ‘personal space’ was when he was reading. The thicker and more difficult the book, the longer the reprieve granted. As if the soul of the book warded off the others so it could tell its tale to an interested young man. He tends to follow orders - eventually. But when you push him in a direction he does not want to go in, be prepared to have your ass served to you on a silver platter. An angry Murmur can be a very terrifying thing to behold.

Background:
Awakening"Breathe!"

Why? Rob thought. It's fine here. No pain. No hurting.

"Breathe!"

Sis? Is that you?

"Goddamned Rob. Just breathe!"

Pain seared his ragged throat as Rob inhaled deeply. A wracking cough shook his body and when he tried to get up, he had to strain to get the heavy debris off his back. Spitting out a bloody phlegm, Rob thought What happened? The house! It collapsed! Iona pushed me out. Underneath the grime the adolescent boy's face paled. "Iona!!! " Frantically he started the shift the rubble, constantly yelling his twin sister’s name. "Come on, sis. Where are you?"

"Here, Rob. "He heard a soft voice - a whisper sounding like a small breeze rustling through leaves.

"Where? "Then the boy spotted a bloody hand sticking out from underneath a heavy support beam.

"Iona!! NOOOO!! " Rob tried to lift the beam, but to no avail.

"It's no use, little one." His sister whispered in his ear.

Rob whirled around and stared... right through his sister's translucent form. "But? What? How?"

"I'm dead, Rob."She answered curtly. "But I could not let you die."

"You should have! "Rob shouted "I don't want to live without you. I'm ..." Incomplete.

"You have to."Iona insisted. "Promise me."

The young lad refused to answer.

"Promise me."

As always Rob caved in for his sister - he could not refuse her anything. "Allright."

The neighbours who had rushed in to help, found young Rob muttering to himself. They whispered amongst themselves while shifting through the debris."Poor sod."

"The loss of his sister must have addled his mind."

"Probably got hit in the head."

SteelingSince his parents did not survive the cave-in either, Rob's aunt and uncle took the distressed boy in. They paid for his revalidation - the tragedy had shattered his left leg and Rob now needed a staff to walk -actually limp - around. But the boy seemed different than before the drama. How could he not? His twin sister, his other half passed away, leaving a ragged void behind, and... Somehow the deceased kept bothering him. And in a bustling city like Brassfield death happened. A lot. Cats, dogs or worse humanoids. The old geezer from two houses down the road who died of loneliness, the toddler thats was overrun by a runaway cart... They all found him, asking questions, demanding explanation or -for the little bairns- crying for mommy. It was mindnumbing. Rob could often be seen whispering, talking or even shouting at ...no one.

It was not long before the other children started pestering him, nicknaming him Murmur. And that name stuck, the grown-ups ended up using it, including his aunt and uncle. Only Father Rhiannon still called him Rob, so the lessons with the priest were his sole moments of respite. And when Rob had his nose in one of Rhiannon's books, he found it easier to ignore the spirits. The fact that the monastery was mostly uninhabited might also have something to do with that. So in this "ghostfree" environs Rob felt comforted, almost at home, the stories of the old priest about his Gods and the afterlife stirring a heartstring. I hope you're alright there, Sis. The young adolescent spent more and more time in the cloister, both for comfort and in the hopes of finding an explanation for him being able to see dead people - and most of all for a cure, Murmur definitely wanted to get rid of it.

The only downside to the monastery was that the local bullies always harassed him on the way home. "Pegleg!" They would shout. And "Ghostboy!" or "There's the Murmurring creep again." Murmur endured the shouting, the pointing and the occasional thrown rock during the years. For once the constant diversion by the spirits made it easier to ignore the yokels.

BreakingUntil that evening. Billy-Bob, the head-village idiot, had been drinking and the beer had destroyed whatever little inhibitions that existed. "Ei, Mis- ehm Miscreant."

Murmur trudged on, while thinking. Huh, Billy-Bob learned a new word. Staff, right leg, left leg. A dull routine, but at least it kept his leg from hurting.

"Ey! Imma talking to you." Followed by his minions Billy-Bob staggered forward, his croonies keeping him him on his course with not so gentle prods. "Shtop!" The bully kicked Murmur to the ground. "I told you to stop."

Lying on the ground, his left leg hurting like hell, Murmur looked up at his assailant, his blue eyes smoldering with anger. "Leave me be, Billy-Bob." The young man's voice was a soft whisper, like silk gliding over a razor-sharp knife, as he tried to sit up. Despite it being a windstill day, Murmur's hair tossled about as if caught in a stiff breeze. The spirits were reacting to his displeasure.

"Or what? What you're going to do, freak?!" The bully kicked Murmur in his ribs, snapping several in the process. "Your sister should have survived. Then we would have had some fun with that bitch. Right boys!" Off course the croonies laughed.

Having finally regained enough breath to answer, Murmur grunted "Leave Iona out of this, inbred retard!" His eyes glowed an unearthly blue.

"What?!" Billy-Bob snapped and his fist sped towards Murmurs' face. Yet somehow cold hands pulled on his arm and threw off his aim. The yokel swore he could hear eerie voices whispering to him "No, you don't. Leave him alone. You were always a naughty boy, Billy-Bob." That last voice sounded like his Nana, but that couldn't be. She died years ago. Someone pulled his ear like she had done when he was bad. Afraid for the first time Billy looked around furtively and saw nothing except an enraged Murmur that had finally gotten up and gripped his staff tightly. His partners in crime watched their leader’s change in demeanor with astonishment.

Murmur regarded Billy and his appendages with utter contempt. "Time to stop being naughty, Billy." And with a solid thud the young man connected the business end of his staff with his nemesis' head. As Billy-Bob smacked to the ground, it all came out, all the anger, all the frustration. Roaring Murmur tried to smack the now-defenseless bully, but all his swings went awry, either by being diverted at the last moment or hitting an unseen barrier before he could hit Billy-Bob. His fury rising, Murmur’s blows became even more erratic. The desperate ghosts -who were only trying to protect the young man from himself - had no other choice but to physically restrain him by lifting him up and away from his victim. And since no one else could see them, the town was treated on the sight of a cursing Murmur flying backwards, his cloak softly flapping in a wind that wasn’t there.

A few minutes later Murmur collapsed in a pitiful, sobbing heap surrounded by a translucent wall of ghost. "Why didn’t you let me finish him?" He asked, his voice raw from all the screaming.

You know why.

He did. Shame flooded Murmur. Everbody had seen him. What would his aunt and uncle think? And Father Rhiannon? I’d better avoid them. So he strolled the Cemetary in the day, returning home after dark and tried to ignore his yearning for a good book.

Just made my decision harder. ^~^

But I've mostly completed those paragraphs. Just a few more to go.
