Ok, I know he teleported us and all that, but if I don't get my questions answered I would have no reason to bring this artifact to him. I do have orders to bring the artifact to my liege, if possible.

I think we've been pretty fast paced considering the time zones and all. It is play by post, and thats generally a fairly slow process. I'm not asking to go back, just asking to slow down a bit. At times now we have to write what we do for the past and the present, backtracking our own characters to get the full story flowing right. It would have made sense for us to have a discussion at the caves entrance about everyones potential and backgrounds, but straight away we've been pushed down the mouth of the cave.

I'm just suggesting reigning in your pace a bit.
