I edited my post. For some reason I thought saddled meant to creep. My bad. Anywho....I think I broke the jail

The most frustrating part of playing a low Int character is having about a half dozen clever plans and knowing your character would think of none of them. (I'm playing his low int less like he's stupid and more like very rigid, straightforward thinking.)

Rugadh Faoi rolled an Insight check of 17. Does she have the feeling that the male drow is honest? Anything else she could tell from his reaction/his character?

so that there is no confusion, Flynn does not talk, he sends mental messages and only to one person at a time.
Until he talks to you or one of the ones he has talked to decides to comment on it, you all think Flynn just sit in the cage saying nothing at all the two days he has been here. |

Can we talk back mentally?

as long as I am talking to you, you can talk back to me, though as I wrote earlier, I can only converse with one person at a time.

@disaster as far as you can tell he is not being dishonest about what he said. Then again he has not given you any details.

I do love that basically everyone has Tarrel pegged as "preacher". Gonna be some interesting reactions when he gets his hands on his greatsword.

and I forgot, I can only communicate with people who know Common, Hin or Undercommon.

As far as you all know, Zar only knows common.
In fact, I've taken not to reading any of the dialogue that's not in common. I hope that'll make it more realistic.

Shall we establish a color code for the most used languages, currently being Common, Undercommon, and Elvish? For example, the colors used by Jeff (Common is black, Undercommon is blue, and Elvish is green)? Telepathic messages could be formatted in italics, colored by the language used, for example.
At some point, we should write down a table summarizing who knows which language and whose name, we already know. So far, I think, the known names are Jimjar, Derendil, Ront, and Rugadh Faoi. Did I miss someone?

With respect to role-playing, this could make things even more interesting. Flynn could teach us subtle signs by which we could answer him. Answering Yes/No questions is, of course, simple enough. In any case, using the Flynn's telepathic speech will be helpful to keep the moment of surprise on our side. We just have to make the halfling the coordinator of our escape attempt as soon as we are ready. P.S.: The warlock's Awakened Mind feature is also only one-way: http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/feat...dvice_july2015.
