If you make the DC, you've got a 1' hole per minute. Fail the first DC by 1-5 and it takes twice as long, three times if by 6+. Fail the second DC and the hole collapses on itself. Since you're not a professional miner, I'd recommend not going deeper than 4 ft for safety if you're just strip-mining the landscape. Snow (10/20), loose soil (15/20), packed soil/clay (20/20), ice (25/15), soft rock (30/10), hard rock (35/10), iron (40/10). I'll say that you roll percentage based on where you are. If you eat coal and iron together you can make steel. Processing typically takes about a week and a CON save. Gemstones demand disadvantage on your CON because... dude... you're passing a stone. Edit: I'll keep that on file in case someone wants to make a tunnel, but let's trim the fat. Keep a log of what your goblin eats every week and we'll roll for what happens.

Elven and dwarven are probably the next most common in general. Almost everyone in Potter's Field knows Cryptspeak, though not so many outside. Further north, you'll find trolls, but they don't leave their own spaces very often.

Ok, Cyrus' tale (and secret) are now done.
If I've written anything that is not canon, please let me know so I can change it. |

Hm. I'm interested, but I wanted to ask if you would accept the Blood Hunter class. I know that it being associated with Matt Mercer and Critical Role is often a big no for people, but I just like the idea of the class. I'm perfectly willing to use a different class for the character concept if you aren't okay with Blood Hunter, though.

I'll call it another one per party class. Honestly, I feel like this is a class built for Blade, now that I think about it.
Edit: I can't believe I forgot. There is a faction that could fit with that as well: Reclamation, or HRP (the Housing Reclamation Project, militant arm of habitat for humanity). They have an intense distain for Potter's Field, and want to take over protection of humanity and reclaim lost towns and cities. They wouldn't accept vampires or any other nonhuman. Quote:

Alrighty! I should have my app finished by the end of today, unless extenuating circumstances pull me away from posting longer than I expect.

I've had a random thought that I just wanted to share.
I can't put my finger on exactly why, but so far I get a "Venture Brothers" vibe from this campaign setting. Maybe it's just because Doc Hammer. Maybe it's just how the room for humor has played out in my head. I don't know. Tell me I'm crazy and that there's no inspiration or relation there lol.

The way I see it, the post-apocalypse need not always be grimdark. Some things suck, other things are ridiculous, nonsensical, peculiar, etc. Life is life, whether things happen by design, mistake, or circumstance.

Well, I got my app done, but looking over the finished thing it didn't really feel like it fit here. It was very much grimdark, and not really fitting for the tone of the setting. Couldn't shake the feeling while making it, too. I'm gonna go back to the drawing board and see if I can trace that, but I think it might be better to restart from square one. Sorry for the delay.
Also, what exactly does the secret part of the sheet mean? Is it like a secret our characters have that might be used against them, or...?

@AllyDJ I'll check it out.
The secret is basically something to be used as a plot hook. It doesn't necessarily have to be against you, it's just something the party doesn't know about you. I'll take that, and it'll give me something to work with to make the game more relevant to the people playing. I saw a game in a high tech setting where a character had an artificial arm, but what she kept secret from the party was that half of her body, including internal organs, were also artificial. She was incredibly self-conscious about it, and for her were stronger reminders of the accident that gave them to her.
