As before, the process wasn't easy, and I didn't give any weight to players whom I game with elsewhere to eliminate favoritism.
In the end, it came down to mostly how well a character would be able to work for the Ship Captains of Luskan, and how well they'd get along with each other and those already in the group under these circumstances. No matter which way I went with this in mind, I'd end up with a bunch of mostly Miscreants. Which is the precisely the point.

Thanks to everyone as you all put forth some very well thought out characters.

That said, selection for the current ongoing game needing two more players is complete. The two making the cut are:

This game is in need to two replacement players. Look at the First Post In This Thread for player/application requirements.
The only change from the original post is that your character will be starting in Red Larch. They will be looking for work, or to join an adventuring Group. I am not looking for any specific class, just two characters who will fit. Before posting with a character, please read and take note of what alignments aren't allowed. This should give you an idea of the type of game this is.

Application - Ready for feedback Name: Halstaer "Handsome Hal" Vicnoir Race: Half-elf Class: Fighter - Psi Warrior (TCoE) Personality:   Hal is a typical soldier, holding as much as he needs and no more unless the price was worth the weight. Always meticulous, Hal has been noted to pack away all his belongings without any waste of space. Additionally Hal is respectful of authority whether that be his employer or commander, the later if they had the stones to prove their worth. Hal is a very straight and at times blunt man, he looks for the optimal tactical decision and will work on a concise plan of engagement. When on a mission Hal's mind is fixed on engagement, retrieval and getting out with all his team, together if possible. When off mission or camping Hal enjoys showing off all the games he's learned on the road including but not limited to daggers 3, liar's dice, dwarven knuckle bones and the favourite among humans red nose elf. Appearance:   Background: Soldier - mercenary for hire Personality Traits: 1. I face problems head-on. A simple, direct solution is the best path to success. 2. Hometown: Born in Phandalin, I go back atleast once a year. Backstory:   Hal was one of four children, eldest boy. His parents were a union between a hard nosed no nonsense human woman and a slightly more carefree adventurer duskblade half-elf. Hal was the golden child and the favourite of his father since the warrior had a progeny to pass down the teachings of duskblades to. Hal's combat style, stances and how to utilise psionic power came directly from his father. With no real alliegance outside of not against Phandalin Hal's father sold his skills to the highest bidder. From the age of 9 Hal acted as page for two years until the basics of martial training began. No better teacher was the unpredictable roads of Faerun. Three times per year the two would return home with enough gold to feed the family for another six to eight months, the relationship between mother and father was strained to say the least. Within days of returning home the two would set off again leaving behind the modest house with an ever estranged family. One such short reunion Hal's parents had an argument, the stress of particularly years apart took it's toll. The following morning there was a sense that this adventure would last longer than those before, Hal's mother handed him her wedding band which Hal kept on his person. On the celebration of his 18th birthday, on the road ofcourse Hal had graduated as a true Duskblade initiate. The pair shared the wares when they could not afford a donkey, fought alongside one another, at times as mirror images. They joined a company of a local lord attempting to beat back an Orc encampment, the two were a part of a reconnaissance party. After an overally successful mission completed the team was ambushed while they rested, in a panic the father and son team paired off and proceeded to cut down as many orcs they could but they were quickly outnumbered. Hal's father yelled for the others to escape as he tried to draw the Orc's attention. Unbeknown to Hal at the time he had lost his mother's ring but was able to escape. The guilt of losing that ring and not having the power to better defeat the orcs continued to eat away at Hal to this day. Hal's father survived the ambush but finally the adventuring lifestyle caused him to begin to reflect. The two took as many jobs as possible on the journey back to Phandalin; it was time for Hal to carry the torch in his Father's absence. A reputation to uphold and hot coals of glory to ignite in his own right Hal continued the path laid out by his heritage. Due to his training and experience fighting on the road Hal was able to quickly integrate into any group. His exploits even took him North to an abandoned chantry said to hold magic weapons, this turned out to be a haunted place with a terrible Spectre present. It killed off half of the team with Hal but the rest took it down. With such a victory under his belt and reward to cover costs Hal began to consider who taught Hal's father, it was not his elven grandfather but an elf nonetheless, Hal's father did not speak about who trained him much. Thus Hal made it a secondary goal of his to find an order, master or some kind of history of Duskblades. With not quite enough gold Hal began to seek out new jobs, he'd heard of jobs up North and made his way to Red Larch as rumour told him they were in need of strong warriors.

Not very, at least not for a while. Even then, it may only be one, possibly two encounters.

Flaw: I have a "tell" that reveals when I'm lying Hometown: Born and raised in Waterdeep Backstory: Ernesto was born in the more harsher street of Waterdeep, he was treated as a freak because his was born with strange powers. He would have died in those streets if it weren't for the criminal gang called Galeton. They were a minor family that focus mostly on the more honorable kind of criminality back from the old days. Ernesto was forever indebted to this gang of misfits, so he decided to join them. He was the muscle of the group and was treated like family in return. However, one day a few members decided for an early retirement and head to more peaceful times. One member was a dear friend and mentor to Ernesto, he saved his life during a fight, this member decided to stay at a town called Red Larch and start a new life. Ernesto stayed to keep the family afloat but just around half a year, he received a message saying that his friend's family is endanger and, a person that always pays hid debts, Ernesto decided to travel to Red Larch to help out whatever problem it is. But Ernesto can't forgot his goal, the Galeton Family is on hard times and only a few people are members. But Ernesto will do his best to make sure it stays open for business.

Application Name: Rashaz Skyscale Class: Barbarian 1/ Bard 2 Race: Lizardfolk Background: Outlander (Exile) Trait 1: I’m driven by a wanderlust that led me away from home. Trait 2: I’m always picking things up, absently fiddling with them, and sometimes accidentally breaking them. Ideal: Greater Good. It is each person’s responsibility to make the most happiness for the whole tribe. Bond: My family, clan, or tribe is the most important thing in my life, even when they are far from me. Flaw: There’s no room for caution in a life lived to the fullest. Hometown?: Skyscale Village Appearance: Rashaz is quite small for his kind, being barely more than 5 feet tall and weighting about 130 pounds. However, it doesn't mean that he has no muscle and general athletics. His scales are emerald-blue and contrast with his red eyes. On his head, he is wearing a plume-crown made of chicken feathers. The lizard always carries with himself his three axes and his self-made drum. Personality: Rashaz is extremely curious and that curiosity will probably kill him one day. His biggest interest are the 'more civilized' races. He often asks 'important' questions and writes down any 'facts' he can gather in his notebook. Other than that, he loves when everyone is having fun. Backstory: When growing up, Rashaz, like everyone in his village, was being trained to become a warrior that could help with sustaining and protecting the tribe. After passing his initiation without much issue, he decided to become a hunter. For some reason, he felt incredible joy, every time brought a prey home, often hunting when there was no need to. With time, he realised, that his happiness wasn't coming from hunting... but from what followed the hunts. Gathering with friends, eating a meal, dancing to the rhythm of their drums and primitive songs. His will to hunt faded and he started to spend more and more of his time on thinking up new lyrics to sing. Village's elders didn't take Rashaz seriously and gave him a choice. Abandon his new, weird ideas or leave the tribe. To everyone's surprise, he was gone without a word the next morning. Walking almost blindly into the unknown, the musical lizard eventually stumbled upon a settlement, Red Larch. Its inhabitants at first were afraid of Rashaz but after hearing a few of his weird songs, they slowly started to accept him. As weeks went by, Rashaz heard a few bards singing tales about great heroes and finally found a new goal in life. Stalk a group of heroes and write the greatest tale his mouth could sing. Rolls.

Please make sure you read and understand a few important things from the main post. One is the Alignments that are not allowed, another is the plot which dictated the make up of the current active characters, and lastly that I'd like to see a character sheet. It doesn't have to have equipment listed yet, or HP, but I would like to see Attributes rolled using the linked thread, primary weapon and armor, talents, skills, and chosen spells. This will tell me how you envision your character logistically.
