[PF-2e] Baldur's Gate and the War of the Sky

You said the ancestries and heritages that are common to the Forgotten Realms, but are others allowed? Also, I know next to nothing about the Forgotten Realms, but I have run games for PF2e. Would that be a problem? Playing a different ancestry or heritage would make that work, I'd think, like say a Poppet. (Not saying it has to be allowed, just saying a poppet would know less about the world). If poppets are allowed, I'm considering a toy poppet psychic. If not, aasimar halfling monk.

Regardless, I'm considering this game. (Because I TOTALLY need another game when I'm already in 5 and running one. But shorter posts...so should be doable.)

Edit: Also, how likely would Craft skill feats be useful? Like Tattoo Artist? I would assume since we're using ABP and have a specific, probably timed, goal, probably not useful at all?

Mother is a Lantanese follower of aka GondNebelun Rather than being torn between these faiths, Fern has formed her own personal philosophy, finding beauty in technology, nature and the intersection of the two. Firearms are listed as uncommon, so presumably require GM permission. If you don't want to deal with them, I'll scrap Fern and see if a different concept floats to the surface.

@Ermine: I'd rather keep it to the ancestries listed. Some others could be valid (and I considered them a bit), but figured keeping it straightforward might be for the best.

On craft skills, I think there might be some time for crafting, especially while traveling by wagon or boat- but I don't imagine there will be large periods of downtime.

We are in another PbP and frequently try to lean heavily on squishy romance stuff. Character Name: Rhapsody Hlapena Ancestry: Tiefling Human variant Background: Entertainer Class: Cleric Archetype: Loremaster (or Dandy. Probably Dandy. Dandy is so tempting...) Other: Passion Domain Rhapsody has a human mother. She doesn't know her father, but firmly - FIRMLY - believes him to have been some "devilish incubus who caused my mother to break her vows." Is it true? Who knows? It could be something more mundane but Rhapsody will need to be strongly convinced anything else is true. By day, Rhapsody works in the temple in Neverwinter. Her specialty lies in taking "confession" for Sune, listening to prayers and requests, often in a veiled "dark box" so that confessors feel more comfortable speaking their true passions. By night, Rhapsody takes what she hears and turns it into poetic "smut" that she sings at local taverns. As a tiefling, Rhapsody has run into trouble from time to time because of her own "over excitement" in her devotion to passion. Though she doesn't try to disguise her own devilish beauty, she does try to at least "tone it down" so she doesn't get into trouble anymore. Mainly this is done wearing a pair of circular, gold, thin framed glasses. The silk robes of Sune do not help, however. Rhapsody's skin is a warm pinkish white. She has two sets of smallish horns, and a tail with a heart shaped spade at the tip.

Rowe Lustborne You: Ermine or Alice both work. She/her. Definitely a human. Aroace, so don't quite understand the squishy feelings, BUT friendly cuddles are a general thing for me (both for me and for my characters). Character Name: Rowe Lustborne Ancestry: Tiefling Halfling (The pic said tiefling more than aasimar. It's the eyes.) Background: Blessed (by Sune) Class: Alchemist (Mutagenist) Archetype: Stonebound Other: Rowe was born of a succubus who went past it being just for hunger, and actually loved a halfling artist she was assigned to. His wife was none too pleased by this, and ended up leaving early on in Rowe's life (almost immediately), not accepting Rowe as her daughter. At some point in her teens, Rowe was blessed by Sune, visited personally (in a dream), as a reminder she was still a good person with a lot of potential. As such, she has a distinct leaning toward Sune worship (or at least respect). Rowe still occasionally sees her succubus mother, though not often; she's usually too busy trying to redeem herself for her lover and daughter's sakes. She knows she's cute, but also knows that comes from her mother's heritage, so isn't vain. Her eyes are her only dominant fiendish feature, and they either get her compliments or scorn, depending on people's perception of tieflings. Attended a practical magic college to learn her field, though mostly experimented on herself with chemicals. Her father really wishes she wouldn't, even though it has proven invaluable. She even has an assistant: Monchy the alchemically-created raccoon!

Background: Magical Experiment

Class: Witch

Archetype:Shadowcaster

Other: Zarron was the last of the heinous experiments of House Dlardrageth. When trying to strike an alliance with an interested minor Drow house, they struck a deal. The mistress of the house would give up their oldest son to the breeding program, to breed with demons and receive every other Fey'ri. In return, House Dlardrageth receive their loyalty and support. This alliance fortunately did not last, as Zarron was born to a drow father and a Shadow Fiend. It was soon after his birthing that the events leading to the house's fall transpired, in which he was abandoned. He was then found by a witch who saw his potential and took him in, raised him as her own. Some time passed and his powers over the darkness and shadows grown. He was met by a spirit claiming to be an angel of Sune, who offered him patronage, a pact, to serve the Great Goddess Sune, to show that there too is Beauty in darkness. Zarron fell for the angel's beauty and accepted it. He would make his way to Neverwinter, where he would join the temple of Sune loyally.

Edit: Well, we have a Champion, a Fighter, a Ranger with a gun, and a Cleric applying. We MAY need an alchemist more than someone who punches.

Granted that the free archetype creates opportunities for characters to diversify (assuming you aren't doubling down on defense like me), Alchemist does seem more likely to bring in new capabilities to the party.

Probably staying mutagenist, but bombs are nice.
