Some aasimar/tiefling parity is nice. No complaints about all the halflings and gnomes (Korin is going to end up feeling very tall if she gets in, I suspect).

@Inuvash I know Automatic Bonus Progression reduces the need for magic items, but are you planning on starting the PCs off with a bit of extra cash, since they're level two?

@Frog: Just reading through everyone's profile now- and I did stumble a little bit on the Gunslinger thing. Although smokepowder exists in the Forgotten Realms to replace gunpowder, it's a pretty closely guarded secret among Gondians- which I think might be a little odd if Fern is a member of the following of Sune.

Yeah, I did a little research online and saw the smokepowder stuff. Mostly fan wikis like this one that implied that while the Gondians might keep close wraps on making smokepowder, they were pretty fine with selling the guns that used it. Still, that also all depends on when in history we are, and ultimately is just up to DM fiat.

I can go back to the drawing board and come up with a different concept.

Name: Zuldaak Vaul Ancestry: Human, Half-Orc Background: Guard Class: Rogue - Thief Archetype: Scout Other: The temples all have a militant arm with which they smash unbelievers and crusade for the righteous name of their deity. Well, I figure many of them also have a more subtle arm that they use to deftly dabble in politics, indirectly influence the nobility, and quietly quell the unfaithful. That's Zuldaak. As a child, he tried to steal from a cleric of Sune when he was a penniless urchin years ago, but instead of handing him over to the authorities, the priest took Zuldaak under their wing and trained him up in the temple. Now, while the champions and clerics are out there bonking people on the head, Zuldaak is behind enemy lines. A little poison here, a little forgery there, and suddenly the enemies of the temple are lining up to seek penance. Any feedback would be appreciated. Most of my character options are from the PHB or Advanced PHB, tried to avoid uncommon or rare options. But it still came out nicely I think. Also, possibly going Mastermind instead of Thief, seems to fit his backstory blurb a little better. But I kinda like Thief better mechanically.

For many ages, the Vaeleth family have been patrons and dedicated followers of the goddess Sune. Few know that the goddess herself has blessed the Vaeleth lineage with magic. As the third son, Elarion has no expectations of inheriting his father's position among the city's aristocracy so he is free to pursue his own interests for the most part, his interests generally being to follow his passions, whether that be art, music, or a bit of adventuring here and there. Elarion is known for wearing his heart on his sleeve and generally being an intense, passionate man. Like the rest of his family, Elarion follows Sune and is a lover of all things beautiful and lovely, whether that be a sonnet or a lover's face. Elarion's weakness is his pride, which can get the better of him at times.
