I also hope we start to see some placeholders come in over the weekend. Just to make it public, we need at least 6 participants. Even if you have to sit out a week (e.g. week one), I would still prefer you sign up and play in what weeks you are available. The format this year is tweaked quite a bit, which hopefully will make Outplay easier to be a part of.

Awesome! We have a little over a week for apps to be in and completed. Tell your friends, it's about time to get this rolling!

During character reviews, after applications close but before the encounters start, there will be another thread posted that tracks the story of what is going on, and your characters can interact there at any time.

Only fair to mention that I've been plucking away on a character for a while, just haven't quite been satisfied with the results yet. Should be done tomorrow, next day at the latest I think.

They are generally considered a part of a full character sheet in 5E, but its more for the player to find their character some personality. I'm not going to harp on it if they are missing.

This year at outplay. Rock, paper, scissorsFist, Sword, Spell:Sudden Death!
Each player rolls 1d3 against a secreted number chosen by their opponent. Can be modified by either a rolled sense motive or bluff against the passive of your oppenent. Successful bluff gives the opponent disadvantage, successful sense motive gives yourself advantage.

Roll off will contribute up to 5 points. Judged RP will contribute an additional 5 points. Winner needs 6/10!

In case anyone gets confused, these are not the actual rules. . Come join the fun so we can adventure instead

5 rounds of 5 card stud. Gm 'deals' a new hand every day. Each player gets ~100 gp to bet. Players can use any skill check that could be relevant,success let's them switch one card. Winner has the biggest pot at the end and there is a reserve that is alloted by the judges.
