As the day moves onward at least one book is burned, a few stored away and one – a book about portals – is opened and examined. While this happens, the next door is checked as well. Nothing is heard past it, and it is unlocked as well. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Bremmen reads through the pages, then re-reads it "Wait! She just....just wrote this all down?" he says, interrupting Ethaniel and Nali with hands outstretched towards the book and a look of disbelief written all over his face "Isn't that a little too convenient? I mean, sure some of us..." he glares at Mardi "..keep a diary and all, but this... I mean besides just being boastful what purpose does this serve exactly?" he shakes his head in disbelief "I mean, really?"
The sorcerer snorts in disgust as he waves the bard and the dwarf to continue, clearly this Desdemona was a fool, if nothing else. Though he has to admit these portals seem to be fine work and, arguably, the experiments are - if nothing else - curious, to say the least. "I guess this would be the portal she uses in case of emergencies, as this might be her workshop she talks about, the other one should then be below somewhere?" he shrugs and steps towards the portal "Do we want to follow her to her home? We don't even know where that is and what awaits us there." He looks at the group, brows furrowed "Perhaps we should try and figure out why she left in the first place?" |

After reading through the significant parts of the tome, Ethaniel was the first to comment. The Bard summarized what he read for the others, offering his own insights as well. In the end Ethaniel proposed testing it. In classic form the Dwarf Nali got right to the point; what was next? Not satisfied with the Bard's sumation, Bremmen read the book as well and had his own questions, namely why. At the same time, Koli listened to the conversation before he listened to the next door. All was quiet there. And then came Mardi. Was it even possible for the Gnome to sty out of trouble? That may have been the others thoughts as he approached the portal and spoke... Quote:

Bremmen winced at the words spoken by Mardi, about to open his mouth to scold the little rascal he instead listens in as Ethaniel unleashes his fury upon him. Crossing his arms over his chest he takes a stand next to the bard, making it perfectly clear that he's with him in this matter. He stares at the gnome with one eyebrow raised "Well?"

"We are sorry too my friend, but this is the most dangerous place we've been together and we've no way to know the extent of the danger we are in by delving deeper. Already we have lost too many and at one point we thought we'd lost you. That is unacceptable and even though I know you have a hard time dealing with it you either have to slow down and try to conquer your fear or this expedition goes on without you." the tall sorcerer stood over Ethaniel and Mardi, a stern look on his face that didn't quite reach his eyes "Look, you are our friend. You are one of the group,
but if your actions threaten the security of the group it is our duty to take action to prevent that. Surely you understand, right?" He offered the sobbing gnome a soft smile "Ethaniel is right, communication is the key so if you feel the need to do anything rash or act on a whim, hold that thought and run it by one of us before you do anything. Agreed?" Last edited by Cedric; Sep 6th, 2017 at 10:04 AM. |
