Wanting to Play Homebrew I Made

Yeah, the title says it all. I'd prefer higher than 1st level, ideally 6th, but it won't bother me at all if it's 1st level. Also, I can do 1 post per week. I can do group or solo games, preferring groups.

Animism DomainExpanded Cantrips
You add the Control Flames, Create Bonfire, Druidcraft, Mind Sliver, Primal Savagery, Ray of Frost, and Shape Water cantrips to the cleric spell list. You also learn one additional cantrip of your choice from your cleric spell list at 1st level.

Domain Spells
1st Hex, Speak With Animals
3rd Calm Emotions, Hold Person
5th Intellect Fortress, Speak With Plants
7th Death Ward, Polymorph
9th Animate Objects, Awaken

Soulshaping
You are granted the ability to create forms of magic from your very soul. At the end of each long rest, choose one or two cantrips you know. You gain the Investment Benefit of the chosen cantrip or cantrips, but cannot cast that cantrip or those cantrips until you no longer have them invested. At 6th, 14th, and 17th level, you can choose an additional cantrip to invest.

Invested cantrips can be identified with a Religion check using your spellcasting DC. They can be subsequently dispelled one at a time once identified. Invested cantrips cannot be hidden by any means.

Control Flames. A golden feathered skirt hovers around your hips. Investment: You can survive comfortably in temperatures as high as 140°F. Bind: You deal +2 fire damage with your melee attacks.
Create Bonfire. An embery golden glow moves along the edges of your clothing and over much of your exposed flesh. Investment: You gain a +2 bonus to Investigation checks. Bind: You gain resistance to nonmagical slashing damage.
Druidcraft. Golden vines wrap around your torso like armor. Investment: You gain a +2 bonus to Nature checks. Bind: You also gain advantage on Nature checks.
Guidance. Cerulean pince-nez hover in front of your eyes. Investment: You gain a +2 bonus on Perception checks. Bind: You gain Darkvision out to 120 feet.
Light. Your feet become encased in golden glowing boots. Investment: Your Speed increases by 5 feet. Bind: Your speed instead increases by 15 feet.
Mending. Bracelets with chains form around your wrists and bind items to your hands. Investment: You cannot be made to drop any item you are holding. Bind: A wielded weapon deals an additional 1d6 magical slashing damage.
Mind Sliver. A spike of cobalt blue arcane energy embeds itself in the base of your neck. Investment: You gain a +2 bonus on History checks. Bind: Your armor class when not wearing armor or wielding a shield is equal to 10 + your spell attack modifier.
Primal Savagery. Cerulean arms grow from underneath your normal arms and glow menacingly. Investment: You gain a +2 bonus to Athletics checks. Bind: The extra arms can hold items, but not wield weapons or shields.
Ray of Frost. Sourceless silver snow and frost covers the majority of your body. Investment: You gain a +1 bonus on Constitution saving throws to maintain concentration. Bind: You gain resistance to Cold damage.
Resistance. A healthy, golden glow radiates from your body. Investment: You gain a +2 bonus to Medicine checks. Bind: You gain a +1 bonus to all saving throws.
Sacred Flame. Golden horns grow from your head. Investment: Your Speed increases by 5 feet. Bind: You gain resistance to Radiant damage.
Shape Water. A silver, jagged spiked crown grows from your head. Investment: You can survive comfortably in temperatures as cold as -40°F. Bind: You can walk on water if you choose.
Spare the Dying. A silver mask covers your mouth. Investment: You gain 1d6 temporary hit points at the beginning of every turn as long as you have 1 hit point or more. Bind: You automatically stabilize when reduced to 0 HP.
Thaumaturgy. Glowing, golden wings hover just behind your back. Investment: You gain a +2 bonus on Intimidation checks. Bind: You gain a Fly Speed of 20 feet.
Toll the Dead. A black cloak flows out from your shoulders, and seems to move of its own accord. Investment: You gain a +2 bonus to Stealth checks. Bind: You gain resistance to Necrotic damage.
Word of Radiance. A silvery gorget forms around your neck. Investment: You do not need to eat or drink. Bind: You do not need to breathe or sleep, but you do need to have a period of 4 hours of no more than light activity, like reading, to gain the benefits of a long rest.

Channel Divinity: Reshape Soul
At 2nd level, you can press your holy symbol into your chest as a bonus action, and unlearn, learn, uninvest, reinvest, unbind, and rebind as many cantrips as you like from the cleric spell list, including your expanded cantrips.

Soulbind
At 6th level, you learn to bind your soul to a specific invested cantrip. You gain the bind effects of that cantrip until you choose a different cantrip after completing a long rest.

Potent Spellcasting
Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.

Second Soulbind
You can bind an additional invested cantrip at 17th level.
Natali Merro, AnimistName: Natali Merro
Race: Kalashtar
Class and Subclass: Cleric (Animism Domain)
Background: Sage

Description and History
Born in a different plane and brought to the material by an unknown force in her childhood, Natali was always just an odd human. She still is, in her own way. Her eyes glow, for one, with a mild golden light. She can't explain it, but then, she isn't always in control of her life. The same could be said of any cleric of Tomoe, the foreign goddess of luck, happenstance, reincarnation, and intervention. Yes, a goddess of intervention, whose sole purpose beyond shepherding souls to new lives, is to interfere in the lives of mortals. Of course, she can't do this directly, but all of her followers get messages in their minds telling them to do strange things with seemingly no meaning, like leaving a gold coin on the edge of a bench or tipping one's hat to a specific stranger. Natali likes to think that each of these minor things leads to much greater things for the person who finds the coin or who is greeted. It is believable, given Tomoe's disposition.

Natali is tall, over 6 feet, but very skinny, seemingly surviving on nothing but kind words and prayers. Her auburn hair is cut short with blunt bangs, and her golden irises, as mentioned before, radiate a holy light. Her pale skin is without blemishes, save for scars along her wrists from her youth, before she heard the words of Tomoe, and a scattering of freckles along her nose. She wears loose-fitting dresses, primarily, though will wear armor over them when necessary.

Natali lives alone. Not by choice, she just has terrible luck finding people to bond with because of her strange personality and insistance her goddess speaks to her and others directly. She has a home of her own, though, much more than most others can say.

Cantrips (1st level): Mind Sliver, Resistance, Ray of Frost (invested), Word of Radiance (invested)

Feat (4th level): Lucky (because it fits her choice of deity).

Hello,

I recently posted in the solo baazar, linked below, and reading your post made me think of one of the adventures that is at the front of my brain right now as a modification of one described in that post.

The basic idea of the adventure would be that in the city Natali is staying in some workmen discovered an old ruin beneath a basement they were re-modeling. Specifically they found a door covered in ancient script that when translated indicated it was an old tomb/mausoleum. The script was translated by a local librarian whom Natali has performed two favors for, without the librarian asking for them, because Tomoe asked her to do something and it turned out to really help the librarian. Now the librarian is asking Natali to accompany her and her assistant into the ruin to explore it because she trusts Natali not to try to steal and sell any historical artifacts. She also trusts your knowledge of religious matters, which she lacks.

This would be a good adventure for a solo cleric of 8th to 10th level, and I have no concerns about relative power level of homebrew material so I am all for using it.

Thoughts?

It does sound fun. Wonxt have a whole lot of time today, I don't think. I could do any of 8th through 10th. Haven't played a 10th level game in a while, though.

No rush at all and the level is really up to you. I can scale the "opposition" pretty easily and since it is solo you can feel as under-powered or over-powered as you want. You stated your ideal was 6th level, I only suggested higher because I am "cribbing" notes from a larger adventure I built for a group that never ended up reaching the content I am using. The original was in 3.5e so I will be working to convert the "numbers" over to 5e so it would be easy for me to scale downward more than I intended when going from a party of 5 to a party of 1.

When you have the time, check out the solo baazar and drop a note in the OOC thread there and I will request a game thread we can use to start roleplaying and/or nailing down our mechanics.

I could always make this a 3.5 class. But it would just end up being effectively a meldshaper class. I have a 3.5 class I made that I do want to test out, though. Easy enough to convert this character to 3.5. Just drop the cantrips and add some tome of battle, magic of incarnum, psionics, and vestige binding. (All but the tome of battle stuff is optional, acquired through bonus feats, including a new feat).

Easier to convert the character than a whole adventure, I've found.

I am actually working on an overall transition to 5e, so that would be my preference. However it is not a strong preference so I will leave it up to you to choose.

Well, if you're more interested in running 5e, I can use her as-is (well, after leveling her up to 10th)
