Hello,
I recently posted in the solo baazar, linked below, and reading your post made me think of one of the adventures that is at the front of my brain right now as a modification of one described in that post. The basic idea of the adventure would be that in the city Natali is staying in some workmen discovered an old ruin beneath a basement they were re-modeling. Specifically they found a door covered in ancient script that when translated indicated it was an old tomb/mausoleum. The script was translated by a local librarian whom Natali has performed two favors for, without the librarian asking for them, because Tomoe asked her to do something and it turned out to really help the librarian. Now the librarian is asking Natali to accompany her and her assistant into the ruin to explore it because she trusts Natali not to try to steal and sell any historical artifacts. She also trusts your knowledge of religious matters, which she lacks. This would be a good adventure for a solo cleric of 8th to 10th level, and I have no concerns about relative power level of homebrew material so I am all for using it. Thoughts? https://www.rpgcrossing.com/showthre...24#post9705824 |

It does sound fun. Wonxt have a whole lot of time today, I don't think. I could do any of 8th through 10th. Haven't played a 10th level game in a while, though.

No rush at all and the level is really up to you. I can scale the "opposition" pretty easily and since it is solo you can feel as under-powered or over-powered as you want. You stated your ideal was 6th level, I only suggested higher because I am "cribbing" notes from a larger adventure I built for a group that never ended up reaching the content I am using. The original was in 3.5e so I will be working to convert the "numbers" over to 5e so it would be easy for me to scale downward more than I intended when going from a party of 5 to a party of 1.
When you have the time, check out the solo baazar and drop a note in the OOC thread there and I will request a game thread we can use to start roleplaying and/or nailing down our mechanics. |

I could always make this a 3.5 class. But it would just end up being effectively a meldshaper class. I have a 3.5 class I made that I do want to test out, though. Easy enough to convert this character to 3.5. Just drop the cantrips and add some tome of battle, magic of incarnum, psionics, and vestige binding. (All but the tome of battle stuff is optional, acquired through bonus feats, including a new feat).
Easier to convert the character than a whole adventure, I've found. Last edited by Ermine; Jun 8th, 2023 at 09:43 AM. |

I am actually working on an overall transition to 5e, so that would be my preference. However it is not a strong preference so I will leave it up to you to choose.

Well, if you're more interested in running 5e, I can use her as-is (well, after leveling her up to 10th)
