I also meant to give you each at least one solid memory to work with, to play with my idea of how you and the Professor interacted a little, or to tighten up some backstory elements. So far I've delivered two of those (Tom and Hugh) and the other two shall be along over the next few days. (Those do not have to be the memories you share in your opening post, but you can draw from them if you like.)

If you have any questions or concerns, feel absolutely free to voice them, as ever! Make as much use of private threads as you like, I'll always reply as quickly as I am able.

No worries whatsoever! I actually appreciate that everyone didn't rush to talk over each other and get a post in - we'll always have a few days or a week to let these things stew, and to take each other's words in. Personally I find that's much more fun than the frantic feeling that you have to write something up the second a new post appears and then edit it because someone else just posted at the same time and then read four new ones the next day as well...possibly I have had some uncomfortable experiences...

I do understand how it sounds like I'm knocking the enthusiasm on these forums, and I didn't mean that - but so often it's a reckless enthusiasm that misses things or doesn't let fellow players keep up, I don't know, that could just be my social anxieties coming out in forum form.

I wouldn't want you to think that I'm telling you not to be enthused - just, channel the enthusiasm of Wednesday Addams! Passionate and patient.

Bishop just kinda barked on reflex. The whole thing is absurd to him and insulting. He'll joke about a lot of things, but you don't mess with with funerals or graves

Ooh, I forgot - was it Athena, you sometimes can't read my tt tags? Should I be avoiding using those?

Let me know, all of you, if formatting things turn out weird on your end. I'll try to adjust as I can. (For the record, I'm using the Parchment Redux skin.) Have I said this before? I might be repeating myself. I'm having a scatterbrains sort of day.

Oh, and also! I know we did mention the use of Broken, Passable, and Fluent language - feel free to decide how well you know what and maybe I'll ask some questions in your private threads later! But like, mostly ignore the standard rules for which languages you know, and simply justify - for example, you probably all know fluent Common (which is really Taldan) and at least passable Stalav. Maybe you also picked up some passable Orcish or Elvish or Halfling from friends or neighbors, or I don't know, broken halfling from a cookbook, or broken Draconic from an old book of law or spellbook? Ooh, or broken Abyssal from a book of Chelish poetry. Whatever you think works!

And of course, if that doesn't interest you, then don't worry about it - no need to make something you don't enjoy a big part of your roleplay.

Also just a quick note because a few of you probably noticed - it is in fact the break of dawn as you're all standing here at the top of a small hill where the pharast yard sprawls. ...so if those guys were stumbing over after too many drinks, then they were out awfully late. Is that very common in a little village like this?
