Hi folks! Can't wait to meet you all and see what we can write together. This is a thread for just getting to know each other, discussion about the game, and other fun stuff.

Hi psuedenim! Awesome! Thank you so much for digging around and finding those, such resources make things heaps easier They're both super handy!

I've been spending this afternoon getting my head around how game management works on there, and trying to get the essentials typed out. So far so good... haven't managed to break anything hehe.

Hi everyone!

So we have:

psuedenim - Young Goblin Sorcerer
Chylopan - Old Wolfkin Fighter
DBCowboy - Druid or Hunter kind of thing maybe?
Effete - Possibly a Peddler?
HotsuSama - Rider or Hunter perhaps?

It is looking like a really nice mix of characters! Although diversity in the group has some mechanical advantages, you should totally play what you want to play, so I'll try not to make any recommendations

If anyone needs any help with anything, just let me know!

My brief perusal of the quickstart guide interested me greatly, and I'm excited to get started on a character.

How much humor and what type are you looking for?
I can bring the dark if necessary.

Dark and Humour - nice. Just watched a Ricky Gervais stand up show this on Netflix, it was an older tourweekend so I'm primed

I would like to add that I am month old member, never played this system before but keen to make this work and have fun. Its the only way I have found to get to play TTRPG's which I was really into in my this would not be a flashback, its more of a get your coat and wallet journeyyouth

Mostly Dnd as I'm a bit of Fantasy junkie but I have played Cyberpunk and Paranoia in my youth and scratched the itch with computer game RPG's.

Looking forward to marching through the wild dark places and worrying about eating and sleeping and not just spell choices

I'm a big lover of humor and tragedy in equal measures hehe, and in an unforgiving world I think its important to let the characters shine a little jest around too. Do whatever you think feels right to you! We can let the characters and and fate determine the changing moods as things go along.

Sounds great!

I'm not going to "ham it up." I was just wondering if it would be okay to throw in the occasional morbid humor. It looks like the game is very survival-focused, so I wasn't sure how serious you wanted to theme it.

Regarding dice-rolls, should we be splitting Base dice from Skill dice, since some rules treat the differently?

Oh I just popped a House Rules post into the mechanics section today about this very thing. You can either roll them separately (preferred) or roll attributes and skills in one hit (I'll always assume the attribute rolls come first in the array).

Have set up a dice rolling thread too, because with pushing rolls etc things can get tricky hehe.
