Group 1:
It's almost night, right? So we can't see much around us... And should the characters rather consider sleeping arrangements, than exploration? I guess I can use Phol's "Up!" as a pull back to reality, for Daneil, but he most likely wouldn't be capable to follow and react to the rest of the speech (given his state and the distances on the map). PS (1) Just noticed your question, mg. Going with your decision, here. Can the group work without a Social PC? To me, in general I mean, it just calls for a different chain of story events - to get to the same result... Then, is there someone looking to get into the game? They're, of course, welcome. And would Effete not mind switching groups later - like with Oniver having arrived elsewhere across the portal, or something?

Hi writelite! Yes it is evening... but not completely dark yet. As an adventure site its a bit more real-time so we probably have a few hours of IC light left. Minimal kind of twilight lighting, but not total darkness.
The group can totally work without a social pc. A party that is a bit unbalanced can be more, or as, fun as a balanced one. At the moment we are lacking in "schmooze", yet have plenty of "beef". Actually, the idea that Hemdan has to step up and become the party "face" could be really fun hehe. Anyway, I'm flexible. Just wanted to present it as an option if you're worried about the diversity that 4 PCs brings over 3. This would also be a good chance to introduce someone. A PC who has been trapped here or something, and can be a valuable source of information... would be a great way to get someone fresh invested into the story

I'm really sorry to do this, but I'm going to have to bow out. I'm not going to go into details, but it's going to take a lot for me to be in a good mental place again. I'm sorry for the bad timing, everyone was great and I wish I could bring myself to keep going. I wish I could even come up with the energy to explain how great everyone was.

Real life happens but there will always be more games. Look forward to seeing you in this or another game.
@97mg not sure my goblin would be best as a face but I could take on some of those skills if necessary. Also open to having another player join us.

Woland: Feel free to roll a d8 for Food if you like. I'll leave it up to you if you have anything resembling an onion XD.

Sure! I rolled a 5 which... well, I don't know what it means mechanically. But probably Halinne will spend the weekend digging through her pack as I am not much of a weekend poster...

Haha no worries. The successful food roll means you have found a full serve of nourishment. What the food exactly is, is up to you!

Group 1:
(a) Do we mean to thoroughly explore and forego sleep? or just explore a bit and then go to sleep? In the second case, are we ready for any dangers that might be lurking in the dark? (The shore seems like the safest place, for the moment.) (b) Do we want to go quicker through this "landing" sequence? In that case, are you expecting me to handle my character's distraction alone? He doesn't have much control in it, you see... (c) It might be something to consider, psu and DB - that the witch, with her powers, might be able to take advantage of Daneil's weakness. At the moment, I'm trying to figure out a way for Daneil to return on his own to the group - without any help. It might take a while... and then comes the writing...

P.S. I think I have a decent justification for Daneil's return to the group. Working on the words now; not sure how long it will take. Now, if Phol or Hemdan talk to him again - I could use that as a trigger for his return to reality. But he would not associate the event with your characters or the content of their speech; Daneil would probably only give them a look - as if vaguely remembering their voice, though not sure why. You see, in this way I don't have to adapt much of the text to your choices So it's not really necessary that they talk to him. One thing that would force me to start over is the approaching of Phol - and the firm hand and kind tone I mentioned; Daneil would no longer have his personal space to settle things in, then. So let's not do that now, please -- there should be opportunities later for the approach, as well as the other group relationship aspects suggested; that is, if you find them to your liking - and according your ideas about your characters.
