Whoops, Bladdanser's agility is actually 4, I made his stats more like a war horse without realising. Fixed now.

But I'll roll for that now to get it done and do narrative later.

@psuedenim, I dunno how 'friendly' Stahl will be about it. There might be more a 'oh, that one's too small, like a puppy. Let's drag him up here' kinda motion.

Yeah, I don't think I want to push this. I won't get Willpower, and I can't reroll those 1s as they all stacked up on my base dice. If I get an assist, awesome, but otherwise ... we're not about to get all Neverending Story here, are we?

At worst, your horse will take a point of strength damage, and then you'll be able to try again. Definitely a better option than pushing and suffering all those 1s XD.

Where the hells has Old Dog brought us, anyway? This is classic, and probably one of the funniest FL game starts I've seen for a while. It bodes well for a truly epic adventure

I like to think this this is actually the fox's story, and watching a bunch of moronic would-be-travellers disappear into a swamp is just part of its opening monologue.

So the idea is that you can keep trying until you succeed... which means that you finally navigate through the hex.

I'll leave the offer open though, that if at any time during this boggy encounter, the party agrees to retreat back to the village and try a different way, that's fine.

Depends on how lucky and determined you are. The dice sure have been unkind, but better vs boggy terrain than some giant critter or something XD.

Okay, so to clarify:
1) Go back to the village and choose a new hex (no roll needed, wastes half a Quarter)
2) Continue through this hex, even if we approach the fox (success needed)

Is that corect?
In other words, regardless of what we do, getting through this hex requires a successful roll.

Frankly, I think we should maybe try a new square. Our luck seems not to be so keen. As much a hit that would be to Old Dog's confidence, it does seem the best course of action unless someone wants to keep on tempting fate, haha.

Back to the village sounds good. Not in defeat of course but to warn the rest of the village of the bog and beastly fox that resides within it! Something all good citizens would do.

Back to the village, get into a new hex, would that put us at 3 hexes. One hex left (maybe) and then evening and night Qtrs?
