Would a Lore roll be appropriate to try to figure out why this Fox seems strange?

It seemed acceptable to not be nice. Definitely still need to work others or you and everyone is as good as dead but you can still be a jerk. I try to write Phol in a critical way that points out his flaw and leave some of his bad character to imagination

Good point!
I still prefer to put my characters through a growth-arc, learning to overcome their flaws and become a better person. I'm playing it safe with the other PCs, but I'm chopping at the bit to fork over some poor NPCs.

What about Hemdan? I had Phol mention how strange this was to him since he's pretty knowledgeable. Should he roll and Phol assist or should we both roll separately?

Rather than rolling separately to do the same thing, I reckon one of you helping the other, with an extra dice would be cool

Just re-read Willpower rules. So we ONLY get Willpower when we push rolls and roll a 1 for our Base DICE, not for Gear or Skill, right? We also don't get Willpower if we just take damage, do we? So didn't get Willpower just because we took Strength damage from the bog or just because Phol failed to resist the Cold and took Strength and Wits damage, right?

For a moment thought it was ANY 1 rolled during a Push but I think now it's ONLY 1s on Base Dice.

I have 5 wits but nothing to boost a scout or survival roll. Sixth sense gives an extra die when ambushed but not sure how that interacts with keeping watch (if keeping watch fails could it result in being ambushed and then does the ability kick in?)

Do we want to worry about food and water or just

Yeah, I think you're right. It's a little vague in that the Willpower section only cites Weapon/Gear dice as invalid, but I think it makes that distinction because Weapon Dice do get the bad 1, but suffer damage to their bonus in the same circumstances. Looks like Sill Dice never enter that field of 1s causing bad effects.

I guess that makes moves less punishing than we originally thought, but sheesh, earning WP is going to be slow until we get a stronghold going for some base currency.

Also, we're not that low on food but I can do some hunting now so we don't have to worry about it later.
