I'll add this as a new skill, which can be available to your character, and any other if they want it (so long as they take the history field of experience):

Custom Skill HISTORY (INT) Base Time: Variable. Usually instantaneous. Success: Success or variable success based upon the Success Quality. Information: Complete accuracy or variable based upon the Success Quality as indicated in the Skill Time and Information Table. Repair: N/A History allows a character to identify, verify, or recall information about a location, object or person from the past. This does not translate to knowing a language or customs of the region, and cannot be used to circumvent Language or Local Custom skills; it is indicative of the historical, ancestral and general past of a place, people or object only. This skill is focused on the study of past events, particularly in human affairs, and is used recall of any number of past events connected with a particular person, place or thing. Quality of success determines the level of knowledge recalled, and focus on a particular point of interest can only be tried once per 24 hours. In the event of poor Success Quality the roll is final, at the time of attempt; another roll can be made, after the 24 hour period, to see if the character can refocus and recall more accurately any details they might have missed. Gaining access to this skill requires the Profession Field of Experience 'History'.

This will be added to the house rules. It does not increase available CP, and investing in this skill is in lieu of another, using the same creation method as any other skill - 10 CP to unlock rank 1, 2 CP to rank up.

The reason for requiring the field of experience in History, is to make the profession option purposeful. Since right now it's just flavor.

The correct translation is "cleverness is best", though I prefer "sneaky is best". I probably would have went with Latin for a second language for Tom, but I felt Arabic was going to be more useful.

We were always going to have some overlap with a group this size. Maybe look at skills the group doesn't have?

There are a very limited number of skills available so some overlap is bound to happen

There are also basics that everyone needs like Evasion and Fire Combat for running and gunning.

Chances are we also won't all be together at all times so having some overlap also allows us to split up and still have most capabilities.

Remember you also need to be able to function as a spy, individually. 00's don't usually work in groups, after all. But, since you're rookies, some reliance in places is acceptable, because the group dynamic is required until you all become super spy 00's.

And I feel the same way about the Craig Bond movies. I like the modern element, but there's many faults.

See and I actually liked the Craig version, it certainly felt more real in many ways, don't get me wrong the Bronson ones were fun but always felt a little tame. That and i have so many fond memories of playing Goldeneye on N64 back in the day, I am curious to see where they go next with the Bond series and who will fill the role and how it will change again.

I've got the feeling they're going to do some sort of stunt casting to replace Daniel Craig. If so, I won't be supporting it.

I think, for Bond, they need to cast younger. Find an actor in the 20s, who can run with the franchise for 10-15 years, and make 4-5 movies. But that's just me (maybe). I think Craig got too old for the movies, since he was cast in his mid/late 30s?

There's some decent younger actors around who could play the part, I think.

So long as it's not Tom Holland.

Also, I think we're all almost complete. Just waiting on one or two to finalize characters, but otherwise it looks like the game start is on track. Even then, since the first scene will be a pre-mission Q Branch engagement, there's less worry about being 'combat ready', so I can help lingering characters be completed around that - in preparation for the mission.

I just want him to be as described in the books. I think it's incredibly insulting to race swap characters. Make original characters instead. I would have been interested in seeing what they would have done with a Jinx spin off for example.

In the books, Bond also has an identifiable scar on his cheek, which is never shown or mentioned in the movies.

If I was looking to cast Bond, with a younger actor who has some decent acting chops, I would probably look toward Nicholas Hoult.

He's 32, admittedly, but looks younger, and has a broad range for acting.
